Chapter 3: He Can Change

Rob's P.O.V.

Preston froze when he saw my village and started to squirm as if he would be posioned if he was brought in there, I honestly felt bad but I needed to show him to my comrads.

I gasped as Preston bit me and started running off in the other direction. I whipped my head around and sprinted after Preston afraid he might fall in a drop off filled with water.

I heard Preston scream that sounded like when water goes onto lava and ran even faster to see a glow and then screams, oh no.......He ran into my fathers house......

I saw my house glowing brighter than ever but nothing was burning. I heard a hissing sound then my parents screaming.

Preston ran out of a really high window and the glass shattered. I watched him as he fell and when he landed he hissed again.

I walked to him slowly afraid of his neutral side kicking in. I looked into his eyes and when he saw me they were blood red like a demon's. He hissed and lunged at me setting the grass around our house on fire.

Preston jumped onto me and swiped at my hand but when he did he grabbed it and looked at the bite mark he gave me...

He gently touched the two bite marks and then I felt something tugging on my back. I didn't dare looking behind me in case Preston decided to lunge at me but I couldn't help it.

I felt something being dragged out of my napsack and then a squeal of joy. What did he just take? I felt a spike pierce through my neck and cried out in alarm making Preston lose balance and fall off of my head.

I glared at him with disapproval but softened up when I saw what he was holding. The little miniature cactus he took from the desert we passed.

I saw his eyes dim and they turned into the ones I looked into before when I first met him. I smiled as he poked the cactus and then he turned to look at me smiling. Then I realized something.

Did he just unagro?.......No.......Once Neutrals are agro they can't turn back..... So how did Preston change back?

"Preston?" I asked him causing him to look at me but his eyes were fading and turning dark purple like obsidian.

"PRESTON!" I screamed as he fell down no longer on all fours he fell to the ground and hissed painfully. I picked him up and he squealed in pain.

I brought him closely to my chest and whispered sweet nothings to calm Preston and myself down. I rocked him in my arms like a baby and watched as he continue to cry.

"What's wrong Preston?" I cried rocking him back and forth in my arms sweetly.

Preston hissed trying to explain but I coouldn't understand him. I looked down at his lava body checking for anything painful and saw obsidian slowly forming onto his legs engulfing them in obsidian.

I watched as the dark purple engulfed his back legs and then it stopped. I checked Preston again to make sure nothing besides that changed and saw he had a tail and horns now.

The tail was trident shaped like a demons but it was covered in obsidian. How did this happen? Why is he obsidianized?

Then reality hit me like a brick. When I poured water on the lava own in the caves Preston must have been hiding in the lava.

Preston calmed down and snuggled into my chest now relaxed and chilled. He sighed and went deeper into my chest but bolted upright and hissed when my father came storming out holding a gun and aiming it at Preston.

"THATTA BOY ROB HOLD 'EM DOWN AND I'LL TRY NOT TO SHOOT YA!!" My father screamed exciting aiming the gun at the terrified Preston in my arms.

"DAD NO HE'S A NEUTRAL AND HE'S NOT FULLY GROWN YET HE CAN CHANGE!!!" I yelled back trying to win the battle.

"WELL WHAT IF HE DOESN'T!!! HUH SON? WHAT IF HE BECOMES HOW HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE?!?!? HOW DO YOU KNOW!?!?!?!" My dad screamed and I knew he was right.

"LET THE LEADER DECIDE!!!" I screamed back and my dad flinched at the hurt in my words.

My dad aimed the gun at my head and shot but something happened that I never thought would. I heard Preston growl and then there was a giant flash and all I heard was my father screaming in pain and then he was silenced.
