On a flooded island, multiple empty wheelchairs sat at the end of the stairs.

Deep underneath the depths of this island, was the town village. Tons of boats floated about as fishes swam by.

Tons of buildings and houses were left underwater as well.

But the Senior Center was left protected by a large air bubble, which made everyone inside able to breathe underwater and walk freely.

The sound of the Seniors laughter could be heard within this bubble.

Because of the effects of them being able to breathe underwater, all of them were able to run around freely like they could in their youth.

"It's so beautiful!"

"You forgot your cane!"

The Seniors gathered around the edge of the bubble, watching as a gigantic whale passed by.

"Look, here comes a whale again!"

"I think he sees us."

"The other side is nice, isn't it?"

"And my knees don't hurt."

"This is the other side?"

"Where do you think we are, Las Vegas?"

All of the Seniors laughed at the elderly woman's joke.

"It's like a dream!"

"Ladies, can we gather around, please?" Fujimoto requested, standing on the edge of his boat.

"Coming!" The Seniors answered.

"Why don't we run?" Yoshie suggested.

All of the Seniors ran over to Fujimoto, chatting among each other as they laughed.

"Everyone, quiet, please." Fujimoto commanded over their laughter.

"The time has come for you to bear witness to a sacred test of love."

"Oh, how exciting!" Noriko smiled.

"Are they too young for this?" Yoshie wondered.

"Are we too old?"

"When are they coming?"

"Please, ladies, the children are coming now. And remember, this is a very important moment." Fujimoto reminded. "A crucial moment."

"Fujimoto, you won't let any harm come to (Name) or Sosuke or Ponyo, will you?" Yoshie asked.

"Of course I wouldn't." Fujimoto reassured. "My hope is Ponyo will stay asleep. Excuse me."

The sorcerer entered his ship, and it took off to the surface.

"Do you think we can trust him?" One of the women asked as the elderly watched the ship leave.

"I wonder what Lisa is thinking." Yoshie stated.

"She's with that woman, and they've been talking all night and day."

The women looked across the way to see Lisa standing with Granmamare, standing underneath a jellyfish head as they stared out into the ocean.

"Poor Lisa. Must be hard on her." Yoshie stated.

"I wish we could hear what they're talking about." Another woman said.

"Oh, why don't we just ask. Lisa!" Another woman waved her hand over to Lisa.

"Lisa!" The other women followed suit and waved to Lisa.

Lisa turned her head around and waved back to the Seniors with a smile.

"Lisa!!!"

"We wanna know what you're talking about!" Yoshie called. "Come tell us!"

Lisa waved more with a bigger smile on her face. She looked at Granmamare, who gave her a nod.

Lisa walked over to the Seniors, who immediately crowded her, asking her many questions.

"My dear!" Yoshie smiled as she took the woman's hands.

"Lisa!

"What's going on?"

"Lisa, are you sure you can trust that man?"

"It's so exciting!"

"Tell us what's going to happen next!"

"Whatever happens, I'm just glad you're all here for this." Lisa smiled.

The Seniors nodded in agreement.

(Name), Sosuke, and Ponyo continued walking through the road.

Ponyo and (Name) still had their hands intertwined, but with each step they took, Ponyo seemed to get sleepier and sleepier. It was getting to the point he could barely keep his eyes open.

And (Name) was deeply worried.

The trio then came across a tall stone arch that lead into a dark tunnel.

"I think I've been here before." Sosuke stated.

"Ponyo?" (Name) asked when she felt him squeeze her hand tighter and stand closer to her.

"Don't like this place..." he murmured, his eyes squinted open. "Don't let go of my hand..."

(Name) smiled softly and squeezed his hand tighter. "Don't worry, I won't. Come on."

The trio began to walk through the tunnel, listening to the wind whistling and water dripping.

Suddenly, (Name) and Sosuke heard the sound of Ponyo's pail dragging on the ground.

(Name) looked at Ponyo and was confused when she saw him in his frog form.

She let out a gasp as she saw him get smaller and smaller. He let go of her hand and dropped to the floor.

"Ponyo!" (Name) cried as she quickly caught the red-head in her arms.

"What's going on? Is he okay?" Sosuke asked nervously.

"I...I don't know." (Name) replied. She held Ponyo close to her chest and zoomed out of the tunnel as fast as she could.

Sosuke ran after her, unawarely dropping his boat.

Once they reached the end of the tunnel, (Name) ran into the water and dunked Ponyo down in it, hoping to wake him up.

"Ponyo!"

She brought him back up, but Ponyo remained asleep.

(Name) gasped as she watched Ponyo shrink and shrink...until he was fish again.

"No, no, no! Ponyo!" (Name) cried as she reached down for the green pail, placing him inside it.

Ponyo floated about in the pail, his eyes still closed.

"PONYO! PLEASE DON'T DIE!" (Name) pleaded.

"Ponyo! Please! I can't lose you again!"

"Shh...Be careful not to wake him."

(Name) whipped her head around and saw Fujimoto emerging out from the water.

(Name) took a nervous step back at the stranger and pushed Sosuke behind her slightly.

"It's good to meet you, (Name). We've all been waiting for you." Fujimoto stated. "The old ladies, your mother."

"My mother?" (Name) echoed.

"Won't you come with me and join them, (Name)?" Fujimoto asked, his arms out in a welcoming gesture.

"Ponyo and Sosuke too. Come with me." Fujimoto stepped closer to (Name), but the (h/c) girl just shook her head and stepped farther away from him.

Something wasn't right.

"I promise I'm not going to take Ponyo away from you." Fujimoto reassured, seeing the suspicion in the girl's eyes. "We have to go now-"

"(NAME)!"

Fujimoto gasped and turned towards the source of the voice, and saw Toki waving her fist at the sorcerer from the gazebo on the flooded island.

"(Name), don't listen to that wacko! He tricked all the others into going with him, but he couldn't fool me!" Toki hollered.

"Toki!" (Name) and Sosuke exclaimed.

"Did you hear me? Nobody fools me!"

"There is so little time! A choice has to be made!" Fujimoto explained, gripping his red curls.

"If the moon comes any closer, can't you see it?" Fujimoto pointed up to moon, which was getting closer to the ocean.

"The world is out of balance! We will all be underwater!"

"That's the best excuse you can come up with? A falling moon?" Toki scoffed. "(Name), Sosuke, come to me!"

Fujimoto groaned and ran his fingers through his red curls. "Humans! (Name), please listen!"

The sorcerer gripped (Name)'s shoulders, making her tense up.

"You're the only one who can save the planet! Do it now! Do it!"

At that moment, Ponyo had waken up. Fujimoto gasped.

"Ponyo!" (Name) exclaimed.

Ponyo glared at his father deeply for touching his (Name). He squirted water at Fujimoto from his motor, making the sorcerer fall back.

"Brunhilder! Respect your father!" He scolded.

(Name) and Sosuke took that moment to run away. The siblings jumped on top of the fence and ran across it.

(Name) watched as the asleep Ponyo floated in the pail, water spilling out from how fast she was running.

"Ponyo!"

"(Name)! Sosuke! Come on!" Toki ushered.

"Bring them to me!" Fujumoto scooped up some water and threw it out, creating the waves with eyes.

They began to chase after the siblings.

"Faster!" Toki cried.

"Drop for it!"

(Name) and Sosuke leaped to Toki. (Name) watched as Ponyo flew out of the pail, splashing onto Toki's face.

Sosuke landed into the old woman's arms, but (Name) had unfortunately missed her. She just hugged onto the pail tightly.

Before (Name) could hit the ground, the waves hit them all, bring them under the water.

Fujimoto followed his waves as his he rode on his boat. On the way, he saw his other children arriving and squawking at him.

"Now what?"

As more of his children arrived, they pointed out (Name), Ponyo, Sosuke, and Toki still inside the waves.

Fujimoto waved his arm, and the wave revealed Toki holding Sosuke in her arms and (Name) hugging onto the pail, which Ponyo was now inside of.

Ponyo's siblings rushed over to Toki and (Name), and put bubbles around the two of them.

Fujimoto watched as his children carried the humans into the bubble dome, where all of the Seniors watched.

And in front of them, was Lisa with her arms open wide.

Ponyo's siblings brought Sosuke into his mother's arms, who hugged him tightly.

Then, they brought Toki over to the Seniors, all of them catching the grouchy old woman.

Finally, they gently brought (Name) on the grass on her feet.

(Name) opened her eyes and gasped at her surroundings.

"Huh?" She then noticed some of Ponyo's siblings surrounding her, some kissed her cheek while others played in her hair, giggling softly.

Sosuke opened his eyes and was surprised to see his mother. "Mama!"

"Sosuke." Lisa smiled warmly. She then looked over at her daughter. "(Name)."

The (h/c) girl gasped at the sound of her mother's voice. She whirled her head around and saw Lisa holding Sosuke.

"Mom!" She rushed over to her mother quickly, and Lisa pulled her into a small group hug with Sosuke.

"Ponyo!" Sosuke cried, looking at Ponyo as he peaked his head out of the pail.

Toki waved her arms forward, trying to swim.

"You don't have to swim." Yoshi told her.

Toki looked around in confusion. "I don't know why we're here."

Lisa released her children from the hug and put Sosuke on the ground when Granmamare approached the family.

"So this is (Name)?" Granmamare mused.

"How do you do?" (Name) bowed to the sea goddess. "Are you Ponyo's mother?"

"Yes, you brought my son safely here."

Toki opened her mouth to ask a question, bubbles coming out of her mouth. Only for all the Seniors to shush her, putting a finger to their mouths.

"Thank you. (Name), Ponyo opened a magic well because he wants very much to be human, to become a real boy." Granmamare explained.

"He needs you to accept and love him as he truly is. You know that Ponyo was a fish, don't you?"

"Yes." (Name) nodded.

"And you know him as a human. Your drop of blood did that."

"Oh, that's it! I cut my finger, but Ponyo licked the blood off and healed it. That explains how he became human." (Name) smiled.

"Could you love him if he moved between two worlds?" Granmamare questioned.

"Yes! I love all the Ponyos! I don't care if he's a fish or human, I love him." (Name) declared.

A huge grin appeared on Ponyo's face.

She loved him!

Ponyo floated out of the pail to nuzzle (Name)'s cheek and play in her hair, making her giggle.

Ponyo then swam over to Sosuke and swam around his head, tickling him. Sosuke giggled at the feeling.

Ponyo then approached Lisa, playing in her hair and rubbing against her cheek, making her chuckle.

The Seniors smiled at the sight while Toki watched with amazement.

"Ponyo, come here please." Granmamare held out her hand to her son.

Ponyo swam over to his mother's hand and looked up at her.

"Ponyo, (Name) has promised to accept you as you are."

Ponyo nodded his head.

"To become human, you must choose to abandon magic. Can you do that?"

"Mm-hmm." Ponyo nodded his head with a smile. He didn't care if he had to give up his magic, he just wanted to be with (Name).

Granmamare nodded her head and formed a bubble around Ponyo. She approached (Name) and leaned down to her level.

"Kiss the bubble, child, when you return to land, and Ponyo will become a boy, growing up just like you."

Granmamare gently placed Ponyo in the pail. (Name) smiled down at him.

"I accept, Ponyo!" She grinned before looking up at Granmamare.

"Thank you so much!" She bowed down to the sea goddess.

Granmamare smiled down at the young woman before raising her arms high. "Everyone! The balance of nature is restored! Life begins again!"

All of the Seniors cheered rushed over to the family, giving them their congratulations and hugs.

Toki leaned down to (Name)'s level and wrapped her arms around the young woman, hugging her tightly.

"My (Name)..." Toki murmured with a smile, a tear slipping from her cheek.

(Name) smiled at the old woman before watching as all of Ponyo's siblings dived into the pail, giving their final goodbyes to him.

All of his siblings then flew out of the pail, growing larger as a yellow light surrounded them.

Everyone watched in awe as Granmamare floated above them, smiling down at Lisa.

"Good luck, Lisa."

"Thank you! I'll take care of him!" Lisa smiled as she brushed her hand against Granmamare's, before she disappeared.

On land, everything was now back to normal. Many boats came back to shore and came to rescue the Seniors.

"Wait! Let me get your wheelchairs!" A man cried as he stepped in front of the Seniors.

"Don't bother, Shima-san. We like to walk." Toki declined as she and the Seniors walked past him.

"Life begins again!" Yoshi smiled.

At the shore, Fujimoto handed Sosuke's toy boat to the little boy.

"This is yours, I believe."

"Thank you!" Sosuke grinned up at the sorcerer.

"Try to remember me kindly, if you will." Fujimoto requested before holding out a hand to (Name). "May I?"

(Name) smiled and took the sorcerer's hand and shook it.

"Take care of Ponyo." Fujimoto asked.

"I will. I promise." (Name) smiled. Fujimoto gave a smile and nod in approval.

Lisa then gasped when she saw a familiar ship approaching the shore. "It's your father!"

The family ran over to another part of the island where they would get a better view of the Koganei Maru.

"Koichi! Hi! Over here!" Lisa waved her arms to her husband.

From the ship, Koichi spotted his family through his binoculars.

"Oh! Its Lisa! And Sosuke! And (Name)!" He told his fellow sailor.

"Ahoy!" Koichi waved his hat to his family with a big grin.

"Ponyo, look! It's my dad!" (Name) told Ponyo before waving to her father with a grin.

Suddenly, Ponyo jumped out of the pail into the air very highly, and then smashed his lips against (Name), giving them a gentle kiss.

And just like that, Ponyo returned to his human form, floating in the air as he smiled down at (Name).

Ponyo gently caressed (Name)'s cheek and pulled her closer to him, and their lips met in another kiss.

(Name)'s (e/c) eyes widened and her face flushed, but she quickly melted into the kiss, placing a hand over Ponyo's.

Starting their life together.

WE'RE FINALLY DONE! I'm so sorry this took forever! 😭 now you guys see why I like releasing all the chapters at the same time lmao
