Eren P.o.v:

Knock knock.

"Mikasa go away. I already told you I'm not hungry."

I've been holed up in this stupid room for three days and Mikasa kept trying to mom me as always about getting my ass back to school before I got in trouble.

The door opened slowly and I groaned. I lifted my face out of my pillow.

"Mikasa I-" and then I froze. There standing in the doorway with a sheepish expression was Levi.

"Your sister let me in... Before you kick me out let me talk." He said quietly.

My look of shock turned to one of anger.

"LET YOU TALK? EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I SHOULD EVEN CONSIDER LETTING YOU TALK TO ME AFTER WHAT YOU DID!" I practically screamed.

Apparently I was loud enough for Mikasa to hear because she appeared behind him a few seconds later.

"Eren?! What's going on? Are you okay?" She asked

"I will be... When you two leave." I said pushing both Levi and Mikasa out of the door roughly and slamming it in their faces. I could hear them talking on the other side.

"Do you know what's gotten into hin recently?"

There was nothing but silence and awkward shuffling and I presumed Levi was willing himself to speak up.

"I do." He said simply.

"Well?" I strained to hear as their mumbles got even lower. I really wanted to hear what Levi had to say on the matter... I just didn't want to face him right now... Not after the other day.

"I kissed him... Knowing full well that he has a boyfriend. Though he's not much of one considering he's been eyefucking that freckled dude for the past three days." Levi said in an irritated tone.

Jean and Marco?

I waited for Mikasa to go ape shit but to my surprise there was only silence on the other side of the door. A few seconds went by before she eventually spoke up.

"Do you like Eren?" She asked, taking me by surprise.

I pressed even closer to the door so that I could hear Levi's answer clearly.

"I do." He said again,
quietly.

I stood up from my slouched position slowly. I took in a deep breath and then placed my hand on the door handle. I opened the door and glanced at Levi before looking away again and standing back so that he could enter my room.

Levi's expression softened as he realised what was happening and he nodded to Mikasa before stepping into the room quickly.

I shut the door again and without looking at him went to sit at my desk to work on an art piece I'd started.

"Well?" I said gently after a few seconds of silence.

I heard some awkward shuffling behind me and then he spoke up.

"I had no right to do what I did to you and I realise the position I've put you in now... And... I guess I just wanted to say..." he paused and I heard him take a deep breath.

"I'm sorry."

Silence.

I placed my pencil down and turned in my chair slowly to face him.

"Did you mean it... What you said earlier?" I said softly.

Levi looked down for a second when we made eye contact but when he heard what I had to say he looked me dead in the eye.

"That I like you? Yes. I meant that. I wouldn't have kissed you if I didn't." He said not looking away from me.

I stared into his eyes for a few seconds processing everything.

"Why?"

"Why? Why what?"

"Why do you like me? You don't even know me..."

Levi was silent for a few seconds and then he took something out of his back pocket.

He stepped closer and handed me a folded piece of paper.

I raised an eyebrow but took it from him slowly.

"What's this?" I asked with a questioning look.

"Open it." He whispered.

I hesitated for a second but then unfolded the paper slowly. As I opened it fully I felt a gasp escape my lips.

There was a painted emerald green eye in the middle of the page not dissimilar from my own, a beautiful waterfall falling like tears and trees silhouetted in ink just above the eyelid amongst a sky of clouds. There were also some birds flying from the trees into the sky gracefully.

"L-levi this is breathtaking..." I marvelled at the picture and spotted some writing on the top left corner of the page.

'To bright eyes.'

I pointed to the caption and looked up at Levi.

"You called me that when we got partnered together..."

Levi nodded with a small smile.

"When I first met you... In the lunch hall... that image popped into my head. I called you bright eyes for a reason you know..." Levi paused and kneeled in front of me looking into my eyes.

"I haven't been able to paint in three years. That is my best work and it exists because of you..." he looked away slowly.

"You're my inspiration bright eyes." He whispered so that I only just heard him.

I couldn't help but tear up a bit at his words and I slipped out of my chair to kneel beside him. I lifted his chin up so that he was looking at me.

It was when he was looking me directly in the eye that I noticed a tear rolling down his cheek and something in my chest jolted. I wiped away the tear gently with my thumb and cupped his cheek before leaning in slowly to kiss him.

I knew full well what I was doing and I knew it was wrong but if Jean was intrested in Marco then what harm could one small kiss do? Levi seemed extremely shocked at first but he kissed back slowly as he realised I was kissing him.

The feeling I felt three days ago started up in my stomach and I let my eyes shut slowly, deepening the kiss.

I felt a hand just above my hip pull me closer and I smiled against Levi's lips.

After a few more seconds I pulled away and blushed slightly.

Levi bit his lip as we parted.

"Eren..."

"Mm?"

"You have a boyfriend..."

"Not much of one considering he's been eyefucking that freckled dude for the past three days." I said quoting Levi's words from earlier with a smirk.

Levi blushed and looked away. I got up slowly and held out my hand to him. He looked up at me with a confused look.

I raised an eyebrow at him and wiggled my fingers. He smiled and took my hand, slowly pulling himself up. Just before he was fully standing I pulled him forwards so that he stumbled and fell into me making us fall onto the bed behind me.

"Hey." I whispered as he lay on top of me and he chuckled.

"Hi." He whispered back.

And I couldn't help but think how great life would be if this feeling he gave me could be there everyday...
