Eren P.o.v:

He did turn the music down eventually. After lots of begging from my end.

"Fine, fine. But only because we're nearly here." We had been driving for around an hour now and I was beginning to get grouchy.

"And remind me where here is exactly?" I said quickly, trying to catch him off guard.

He just smiled at me, parked the car and then got out, making his way to the trunk.

I sighed and got out myself, stretching my legs with a groan. Short spaces and tall people don't mix well.

Levi walked past me with a raised eyebrow.

"Careful Jaeger. I'm real bad at controlling myself." He said, referencing my moan.

"Hey nobody's exactly holding you back." I smirked and winked at him playfully to which he rolled his eyes and continued walking.

"Where are we goooing? And what's in the bags?" I asked, nodding to the three carrier bags in his hands.

He stayed silent as I jogged to keep up. For a short man he sure walks fast.

Eventually we got to our destination, or I guessed we had considering Levi stopped walking and put the bags down on the ground.

I looked around and gasped softly, gawking at the view splayed out before me. We were on one of the highest hills in the town, right by the coast. (I know this because Armin tends to rant about random things when he's bored.) Little dots of light were scattered across the city below, contrasting beautifully to the growing darkness of the sky above me. The stars were slowly becoming visible as the sun dipped further below the horizon and they glistened against the relaxed waves of the ocean below, I could see the moon reflected off of the water, shimmering as it rose up and down, the tide was rolling out.

"Woah..." was the only thing that managed to escape my lips.

"Hey... you gonna stand there all night?" Levi asked in a soft voice.

I turned to see him stood with his hands in his pockets. A large blanket and lots of pillows lay just to the side of us, various different foods and drinks littered the blanket and I smiled.

"A picnic?" I asked skeptically, raising an eyebrow in his direction.

"What can I say? I'm one for cheesy clichés. Now are you gonna stand there and gawk or are you gonna help me eat all this?" He asked.

I smiled more and walked over to sit with him.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?"
I asked as he poured some soda into two plastic solo cups.

"You're cute and I spent too long in that damn hospital. I needed a change of scenery... Champagne good sir?" He asked, handing me one of the cups.

"Certainly." I said softly, deciding to play along.

I took a sip of the soda and pretended to look thoughtful.

"Hm, I must say this tastes rather pleasant. Wouldn't you agree?"

"Mm, quite. It almost dances along the taste buds." He replied, swirling the drink around in his cup a few times before looking at me.

We stared at each other for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. It was loud and ugly and brought tears to our eyes but it was us, and I mean the real us, not the us we pretend to be around other prying eyes. It was perfect.

"You know I've always wanted to bring someone up here..." Levi said, a few minutes after our laughter had died down.

"Well I'm glad that it was me." I said, turning my head to the side to get a full view of him.

We were laying on our backs with our legs hanging dangerously over the edge of the hill.

He copied my movement, our eyes meeting in the middle. We were close enough that our noses were almost touching, but not quite.

"So am I." He said softly, his breath tickling my face and making me smile.

The brightness of the moon caused shadows to dance across his cheeks when he blinked, his hair fell over his eyes slightly, it was dishevelled from all the laughing but it looked cute nonetheless, his lips were slightly parted and I could see his breath rise into the air that was quickly turning cold around us.

I drunk in all of his features greedily. Wishing that I could stay in this moment forever, that it never had to end.

I felt myself craving something that I couldn't put my finger on, my heart ached with a sudden desire for something unknown to me.

I once again started to drown in those baby blue eyes, illuminated by the natural light around us so that they seemed to be glowing. My stomach did little flips as he smiled softly at me, every hair on my body stood to attention. This is right... This is what I need... This is what I want...

I want him.

That's the only thought that travels through my head as I bring my hand to his cheek, close the small distance between us and place my lips on his.

I let myself get lost as we moved in sync, closing my eyes and letting the want... the need take over.

The kiss wasn't like any I had ever had before. It was filled with passion and emotion that I didn't think was even possible. It was slow and steady, and I tried as hard as I could to put everything I was feeling into it.

Levi brought his hand up to the back of my neck and pulled me even closer than we already were, before pulling away. Our foreheads were pressed together and we both had smiles on our faces.

"I really like you, Eren." He murmured against my lips.

"I really like you too, Levi."
