Chapter 3: Alexander Hamilton and His Family
Y/N's POV
Milk. Something that me and Dad needed, and something we didn't have. (Yes, Dad's a single dad.) (YO, it's Artzee from the future. Everyone stop commenting about Martha. She's dead in this story apparently, all right? I wrote it like a year ago so dhdhdhdh chill.) So, it was my solemn duty to get some.
There was a market that was walking distance away from my and Dad's mansion, so I set out to go there.
The Virginian scenery astounded me as I walked. I never noticed how lucky I was to have such a great home.
But, while I was daydreaming about the scenery, I, again, bumped into someone.
I honestly have no idea what my problem is.
I looked up at the person that I had just bumped into, and he looked oddly familiar. Short dude, five-o'clock-shadow type of goatee, had brown hair tied up into a ponytail, and a green coat.
Alexander Hamilton.
Hey, I'm a founding father nerd, okay?! Sue me!
"Oh! My apologies, miss," Alexander apologized, smiling.
"Oh, no, sir. It was my fault," I smiled back.
Alex smiled and was about to walk away, when I dropped the question on him.
"Hey, are you Alexander Hamilton?"
I already knew the answer to that particular question, but I asked anyway. Just to make sure that I didn't ask for some random fellow's autograph or something.
Alexander turned around, smiling. He was a very smiley person, looking back on it.
"Why, yes I am. And who might you be?"
"Y/N Washington, sir," I said, curtsying. I didn't really have a dress on; it was more of a blouse, but you get the gesture that I was trying to make.
"Ah," Alexander nodded, fiddling with his emerald coat. "Jefferson has told me a lot about you." He didn't seem to care that I was George Washington's offspring.
It had been a few days since Thomas had moved into Monticello, so I was shocked that Thomas went on blabbing to Alexander so quick.
"Oh, he told you about me?" I squeaked, blushing a fair amount.
Alex nodded, laughing. "He wouldn't stop telling me about you." He looked at me, an amused expression crossing his features. "And from the way you're blushing right now, I can pretty much guarantee that you feel the same way that I reckon Jefferson feels about you."
I playfully punched Alexander's arm. "Oh, stop."
Then, a light bulb went off in my tiny brain. "Hey, Alex?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
"Would you like to come to the market with me?"
He smiled and offered me his hand. "I would love to, Y/N. Shall we?"
I accepted it and nodded, walking with him the rest of the distance to the market.
(Also, instead of Jefferson going to New York immediately, Hamilton visits Virginia until Jeffy moves. Try to keep up! XD)

We arrived at the market, and we shopped for the necessities, along with a few snacks and luxuries here and there.
When we were checking out, Alexander turned to me. "Hey, Y/N?" he asked as he put celery on the counter.
"Yeah?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to get some coffee with me."
I agreed.

We went to this small coffee shop across the street from the market called "Virginian Pride In a Cup". When me and Alex approached it, I couldn't help but giggle. He did the same. I wondered why I'd never been there or seen it before.
I pushed open the door, and I was in shock.
The place was exquisite! Even though the shop was small, they somehow could fit all sorts of decorations in there! There were shelves of books, very comfortable looking armchairs, potted plants, and, most importantly, a fountain! (Along with other stuff.)
Me, being the adult child that I was, I immediately ran to touch the fountain. Alexander laughed as I let the cold water graze my fingers.
After about two minutes, I had not moved from that fountain. Alex sighed. "Come on, Y/N. We don't have all day here."
When I didn't listen, he actually pulled me off the fountain. "No! Alex, come on!" I whined, sticking my bottom lip out like a toddler.
After a bit of arguing over the stupid fountain, Alex had managed to get me to the counter so we could order.
"Good afternoon!" the cashier greeted me brightly. "What would you like today?"
Alex looked at me, signaling for me to go first.
"Hmm," I pondered, tapping my chin in thought, scanning the menu all the while. That's when I saw my favorite drink on the menu. My face lit up as I asked for it. "Can I have the f/d, please?"
The cashier nodded with a big smile, putting in the information. Then she looked at Alexander. "And for you, sir?"
He answered without hesitation. "I would like a black cappuccino, please. Thanks."
The cashier nodded once more, whistling a tune while putting the finishing touches on the information. After about fifteen seconds of writing, she looked at us, smiling once again. "Your drinks should be ready in just a few minutes! What name should I put the order under?"
Alex and I looked at each other, both of us shrugging. "Alexander," I said.
The cashier smiled. "Have a nice day, you two!"
Alex and I thanked her, then sat at a random table across from each other. The bags of stuff that we bought had been holding occupied the spots next to us.

"Alexander!" the cashier called, holding the tray of beverages.
He jumped up. "I've got it," he told me, rushing to the counter to pick up our precious drinks.
He came back, a stupid smile on his face. He raised the his cup of coffee. "Raise a glass to freedom." I got what he was trying to do, (a toast, duh,) so I raised my own cup of f/d.
"Something they can never take away. No matter what they tell you. Raise a glass to the both of us. Tomorrow there'll be more of us. They'll tell the story of today," he finished with a smile.
We clinked cups, and we each took a sip of our drinks.
As soon as we swallowed the delicious liquid, however, a very distressed woman burst through the door, a boy who looked to be about seven trailing behind her. The woman had fair skin, long, brown hair, and a blue dress. The boy had curly, black hair that fell down to his shoulders, freckles, and wore a very nice blue coat. (I made that up.)
Alex buried his face in his hands. "Whelp. They found me."
I have him a quizzical look as the two people rushed over to us, shooting some death glares at him.
"Where have you been?" the woman demanded to the poor man sitting across from me. "You told me that you were getting decorations for our vacation house! What are you-" The woman was cut off by her realizing that I was sitting across from her, I assumed, husband. "Uh..." Then she continued rambling on while Alex still had his face in his hands.
"Eliza," he cut the woman off, removing his face from his hands, "I've got them right here," he held up the bag with all of his crap in it.
The woman called Eliza gave an "oh" of realization and of "wow I look dumb now". "And who is this?" She asked through gritted teeth. "Why are you sitting with a woman, Alex?" I got your comments! I made Eliza less innocent.)
That's when I decided to be nice.
"Hello, miss! My name is Y/N! I'm terribly sorry for distracting Alex."
Eliza smiled sweetly and waved me off. "Oh, no worries! I was just making sure he was all right!"
There was silence. "Well, guess I'm gonna have to introduce you to my family so this doesn't get awkward..," Alex sighed. He pointed to Eliza. "This is my wife, Eliza."
Eliza waved.
He pointed to the young boy. "And this is my son, Philip."
Philip smiled at me, the gaps where he had been losing teeth showing. "It's nice to meet you, miss Y/N!"
I eternally squealed at how cute the little beansprout was. I got out of my chair and knelt down to get to Philip's level. "Why, hello! Your parents sure did teach you good manners!"
Philip giggled, and Eliza and Alex smiled.
The rest of the time went by with pleasant conversation being made by the four of us. When it was time to leave, I told the three amigos that I would keep in touch with them.
I returned home, anxious to wright my new friends a letter, forgetting due to certain events.
