Y/N's POV

   I knew that The Reynolds Pamphlet would destroy Eliza, so I was eagerly awaiting the day that she came back. In fact, I wanted to see her so bad that I constantly visited Alex's house to ask if Eliza had returned home yet.

   Every time I asked, she was still gone.

   But anyways, this one particular day, I had this weird sensation that was swirling around my stomach.

   My intuition was telling me that Eliza was back.

   I pretty much woke up with this feeling. I rolled over to see if Thomas was still asleep, but no one was next to me. I was happy he was awake. Because that way I could beg him to visit Eliza with me. I don't know why I wanted him there, maybe to just provide additional support to Eliza, or just because I wanted him by my side as I comforted her.

   (Or because the author needed to put Thomas in more parts of the story. XD)

   I sat up and stretched, groaning slightly. I ran a hand through my h/l, knotted hair and stood up, tiredness biting at my eyes.

   I hobbled down the stairs and saw Thomas quitely reading a book and enjoying a cup of coffee with his glasses on. I inwardly died at how cute he looked.

   He heard the noise and looked at me, a helpless spark in his eyes as a smile crossed his face. "Good morning, sunshine," he said, smirking slightly.

   I grumbled slightly. "Morning..," I said quietly, sitting next to Thomas with a smile. "What are you reading?" I asked, peering at his book. I was gonna ease my way into asking him to visit Eliza with me.

   "Eh...nothing..," he said, slamming his book shut as a light blush crossed his face.

   I raised an eyebrow and cocked my head to the side, smiling. "Thomas! Just tell me!"

   Thomas sighed, his blush getting darker. "...a cheesy romance novel..."

   I stared at Thomas for a moment and blinked a bit. After a bit, I squealed and hugged him tightly, forgetting the question I was about to ask him. "That's adorable!" I laughed, squeezing him.

   Thomas sighed. "Oh, hush, hon..."

   I let go and looked at him, adoration in my eyes. "So...I have a question..." Forget easing into things. That was gonna take too long.

   "Sure, shoot," Thomas said, looking at me with the smile that I loved.

   I bit my lip nervously. "SoIhaveagutfeelingthatEliza'sbackfromhertriptodayandIreallywannacomfortherandIalsowantyoutheresocanyoucomewithme?" I asked.

   Thomas blinked. "Okay...I think I heard about half of that...say it slower."

   I nodded, exhaling nervously. I really wanted him to go with me and rejection always made me feel awkward. "I think that Eliza's home from her trip today. And I really wanna visit her to comfort her, but u really want you with me. We haven't gotten to exist together that much lately. So...can you come with me to visit her and comfort her?"

   Thomas sighed. "Come on, Y/N. I have work to do."

   "Like what?" I asked, raising and eyebrow.

   Thomas was silent. "Fine!" he groaned.

   I smiled. "Thanks, honey!" I chirped, kissing him quickly and hopping upstairs to get ready.

   I saw him smiling and staring after me with a helpless look in his eyes.

   I came down in a f/c dress that had white lace along the bottom. I grabbed my hairbrush and brushed my hair, then brushed my teeth.

   "I'm done!" I smiled brightly to Thomas, who was still reading his book.

   Thomas looked up at me and smirked. "You look lovely, darlin'."

   I blushed a dark shade of red. "Thanks...let's just go!"

   He continued to smirk and stood up, offering me his hand.

   I took it happily ad he led me to his carriage. We could've easily walked, but...I guess Thomas wanted to treat me to his fancy carriage..? I got in with a large smile on my face.

   Thomas followed my lead and sat next to me.

   A few minutes later, we had arrived at the Hamilton residence. I bit my lip as I thought of the agonizing pain Eliza must be feeling.

   "You okay?"

   I was snapped out of my daze by Thomas' voice.

   "Oh, yeah. I'm fine...Just worried about Eliza," I mumbled, looking at Thomas.

   "Well, good thing we'll be there for her," he responded with a gentle smile.

   I smiled back as I got out of the carriage, Thomas behind me.

   When me and Thomas approached the house, I knocked on the door, rocking back and forth on my feet slightly.

   Alex opened the door, and his face fell slightly once he saw that it was me and Thomas at the door. "You're probably here to see Eliza."

   My intuition never lies.

   "Told ya," I mumbled to Thomas, who nodded slightly. I turned back to Alex and nodded. "Yes we are."

   He reluctantly opened the door more so we could walk in. "She's upstairs."

   I pretty much ran inside and up the stairs, Thomas following behind.

   There, I saw Eliza curled up near a fireplace with a pile of letters around her. Angelica was beside her, trying to calm her down.

   "Eliza?" I asked, my heart hurting because of how broken she appeared to be.

   She and Angie turned to me. Eliza had tears running down her face. "Y/N?"

   "Oh, my poor thing..," I mumbled, hugging her tightly. She sobbed and hugged back.

   We hugged for a while in comfortable silence, until Angie broke it. "So...I'm assuming you've read the pamphlet?"

   I nodded and continued to hug Eliza. I heard Thomas sigh and saw him kneel next to Eliza. "Are you okay, Mrs. Hamilton?" he asked.

   I pulled apart and smiled gratefully at Thomas. He smiled back at me and nodded slightly. He knew how much I cared about Eliza and wanted to help her.

   Eliza looked at Thomas for a minute and threw a letter into the fireplace. "Well...my husband just had an affair...but yes..."

   Thomas nodded and looked down awkwardly. "I'm sorry about that, Mrs. Ham--"

   "Schuyler," Eliza cut Thomas off. "Mrs. Schuyler."

   "Mrs. Schuyler," Thomas said gently.

   I stood up and hugged Angie. "I've missed you both," I said to her.

   "We've missed you too," Angie responded. "You couldn't have come at a better time." She pointed to Eliza.

   I nodded. "I'm glad." I sat down next to Eliza and hugged her again. "I'm so sorry this has happened to you...but You're a strong woman. You will get through this. And if you don't, I will personally murder Alexander."

   Eliza laughed. "He deserves it at this point."

   Thomas chuckled. "He always has," he mumbled.

   I pulled away from the hug and nudged Thomas lightly. He chuckled again.

   "So...how are you guys?" Eliza asked, wiping the tears away from her face.

   "Oh, we're good," I smiled, looking at Thomas.

   He bit his lip. "And...if it was good, then it's about to get better." He pulled out a pouch.

   Now, I wasn't those clueless girls in movies. I covered my mouth in shock.

   "Y/N L/N," Thomas began smiling, "you have made me the happiest man in the world. Your laugh never fails to make me smile, and your humor brightens up my mood. I can't even begin to describe how much you mean to me." He opened the pouch to reveal a sparkling ring. "So...will you make me even happier by marrying me?"

   I was speechless for a few seconds. Tears began to pour down my face. I nodded rapidly. "Yes, yes, yes!" I screamed, tackling Thomas in a hug.

   He smiled widely and kissed my head.

   Eliza and Angelica started clapping. "I knew this would happen!" Eliza squealed, finally seeming to forget about Alex.

   "Congratulations!" Angie smiled happily.

   "Thank you!" I smiled, looking at her for a few seconds before focusing on Thomas again. "I love you so much!"

   "I love you more~," Thomas purred, nuzzling me gently.

   Eliza and Angie joined the hug. "I call maid of honor!" Eliza saud, laughing.

   "Aww, no fair!" Angie pouted. I could tell she was relieved that Eliza's mood turned around. "Fine...I'll be a bridesmaid..."

   I laughed at the sisters. "You girls are the best!"

   We all smiled and talked for another hour before me and Thomas went home.

   'I'm engaged!' I thought happily. 'Nothing can bring me down!'
