Rey woke up the next morning tightly clutched in Ren's arms. Looking outside she groaned softly as the rising rays of sun rose up into the sky. It was still fairly early and Rey often enjoyed walking up as early as sunrise just to watch the light fill up the void of night's darkness.

Ren was still sleeping softly next to her, his chest rising slowly and his arms tightly wrapped around her slender waist.

Watching him intently the memories of last night flooded through Rey's mind her stomach turning into knots.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do this for..." Ren muttered, his voice low as he proceeded to leave a trail of kisses down Rey's neck and collarbone.

"How long, I'd like to be enlightened."

He turned his head up and faced her, their foreheads resting dangerously close to each other.

"A magician never reveals their secrets," Ren leaned forward to capture her lips once again. Pulling away quickly Rey laughed.

"That doesn't even make sense in this context."

"Well then..." Ren grabbed at her waist suddenly pulling her naked body closer to him. "Just know it was for quite some time, I'd prefer not to reveal specific details."

"Works for me."

Rey played with fire once again.

"I see you're awake sleeping beauty."

Ren's eyes blinked open slowly and he groaned as he struggled to adjust to the light coming through the wide window.

"It's so early."

Rey smiled at him, "And I see you're definitely not a morning person."

"Wow who would've guessed."

Rolling her eyes she shoved him before getting up from his embrace. He looked up at her for a moment before smirking at her.

"Do you think they heard us last night?"

Rey raised her brows in confusion, "What?"

"I mean you were screaming my name so loud they must've heard."

He got a pillow thrown at him in response.

"I was only joking!" Ren protested as Rey walked out of the room.

"Any leads on Ren?"

"I'm afraid not, Miss Snoke."

Bazine stomped her foot hard on the ground and narrowed her eyes at Hux.

"Well, you better hurry up!"

Hux nodded slowly, "Yes of course."

"Well what are you waiting for?"

Hux's cheeks burned up and he nodded frantically and hurried out of the room.

"Remember, your job depends on it!" She shouted, her voice echoing behind the hurried general.

Rey chose to ignore Ren for the remainder of the day. She didn't exactly know why, it wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do but then again Rey wasn't used to taking people's feelings into context.

So she busied herself with doing simple chore like tasks alongside Poe and Finn to get Ren out of her clouded mind.

It wasn't exactly working and she hated herself for it. So at the end of the day she finally decided to see what he was up to. It was almost silly to think about, considering the great lengths she went to, to ignore him.

It didn't take a lot of looking to find him, and Rey was almost disappointed she found Ren so soon.

"Ah I see you've finally come to terms that I exist."

She jumped out from her thoughts, sharply turning her head to face him. Her eyes caught his momentarily before she bowed her head down in some time of self proclaimed shame. Rey didn't answer his comment.

"What are you doing here? Quite silly right? After all that happened last night and now you ignore me the day after."

Rey bit down on her lip and pinched at her palms.

"I-I..."

He stepped towards her and lifted up her chin slowly, his eyes narrow.

"I'm waiting for my explanation."

"Well, if it's an explanation you're waiting for, I don't have one."

Rey pulled herself away from his light touch and ran down the hall and out of his sight.

"Goddamn Rey! Just talk to me!"

The only response was his own voice echoing back to torment him.

Rey was always one to think with her head. She was stubborn like that and it seemed to be more of a blessing then a curse when it came to her survival on Jakku. And when it came to Jakku thinking with your heart was dangerous.

She learned that when she was almost raped one night. At only 17 and stone cold, Rey could only stiffen as hands groped at her ass and traveled down her tunic roughly.

She wanted to scream. But she couldn't. Her words stayed trapped in her mouth like prisoners.

The man peeled her tunic from her lean body and tossed it onto the grimy ground.

"Don't try to fight it princess..." a thick finger came slowly down her cheek. "No one can hear your screams now."

With a quick kick to the shin Rey emerged from the small cabin with her integrity in shreds and a colder heart than before.

WARNING OVER

So alone in her room she attempted to convince herself that she was right. That she had a right to push Ren away and act as if what happened between them was just nothing.

"It's not your fault Rey, it's not your fault..."

But despite her desperate attempts to make herself feel better Rey still felt sickeningly guilty.

I should probably go talk to him

But knowing herself she wasn't going to move from her spot and knowing him he probably wouldn't want to speak to her anyways.

"I didn't think you'd ever come back Ben."

"There's a first time for everything mother."

The General's gaze softened at her son and she stepped forward to him, her head smoothing his hair down.

"You look so much like your father."

"Don't mention him," Ren's voice went cold.

"You're forgiven, you know that right?"

He went silent, not answering his mother.

"There's still light in you Ben."

Ren's eyes narrowed and his gaze hardened.

"The last bit of light in me died as Han Solo took his last breath."
