A/N: this took a bit longer then expected but I think that the wait is worth it because this is a pretty good chapter for the most part. I think¿?

"Your name is Ren right?" She purred, running a finger gently up his arm.

"Y-yeah," he squirmed at her touch, his stomach full of both nerves and discomfort.

"Daddy chose quite a catch for me," Bazine laughed before stroking a finger quickly across his cheek. She reached forward and took his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers together.

"Come on, aren't we going to your quarters?"

"I guess we are."

Ren stiffened as she led him down the halls and towards his room. In that moment he missed the blazing sun and comfort of Rey's AT-AT shelter. The dark walls of the castle made his stomach turn in distaste.

How he wished for the sun to touch at his skin, peppering kisses of warmth onto his arms and face. It was a peaceful bliss that wasn't an option to him anymore.

Rey didn't want anything to do with him anyway. Even after he risked it all to set her free. Ren couldn't blame her though, if someone you trusted so long turned out to be a freak in a mask from the enemy kingdom you'd be mad too.

In that moment the coolness of the locket pressed up against his chest and he felt a pang where the locket lay. He hadn't taken it off since she'd gotten it back for him and Ren didn't plan to anytime soon.

"Ren? Are you coming inside?"

"Yeah," he nodded following her inside. She continued to grin at him, and Ren honestly found it a bit scary.

"We are going to have some fun tonight."

"What do you mean?"

Bazine put her hands to his face, lifting up his mask from his face. Ren's sad eyes looked back at her.

"Kiss me."

"What?"

She rolled her eyes before leaning closer towards his face. With a smirk she captured his lips with hers.

Ren remained as stiff as a board as her hands tangled themselves in his hair. She tried to deepen the kiss but he was reluctant. Bazine pulled away, surprised by his sudden distaste.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What do you mean?"

She shoved him in the shoulder hard. Her once beautiful features contorted in anger.

"Why won't you kiss me. I'm supposed to be your wife soon."

Ren didn't say anything and that seemed to piss Bazine off even more. Shoving him aside she stormed out of the room.

"Daddy!"

He sighed before collapsing onto his bed. Closing his eyes he imagined the sunny skies of Jakku and the way Rey's eyes lit up once he gave her the necklace. Soon he fell asleep, dreaming of her smile.

"Rey."

"Hey Poe."

He frowned at the emotionless tone in her voice.

"Look, Rey —"

"Don't you dare."

"I'm sorry."

She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Stop apologizing. It's not your fault."

"But it is," he took her hands in his. "I'm sorry for leaving you on Jakku Rey. I was kidnapped by Starkiller after they found out I'm a Resistance knight. Can you give me a second chance?"

She looked up at him, "yes, yes I can."

"Really?"

Rey nodded and Poe pulled her in a tight embrace. The two stayed like that for a few moments before pulling apart.

"Thank you."

She smiled before pulling him back in for another hug.

"I missed you Rey."

"I missed you too Poe."

Slowly they pulled away and he looked at her. His face a bit sheepish.

"We aren't together now or anything are we?"

"No, we are in a war and it wouldn't be the best thing at the moment."

"I agree."

"Also —" Rey paused, a pained expression on her face.

"What?"

"Nothing," She shook her head, managing a weak smile. "Goodnight Poe."

"Goodnight Rey."

Sighing she got up and walked towards the door, giving him one last look before walking out. Once he was out of sight, she rubbed at her eyes to get rid of the oncoming tears. Rey wiped at her eyes roughly, covering her face with her hands.

A few moments later she arrived back into her room and that's when she let the tears consume her. Rey didn't know why she was crying but for some reason she couldn't stop it. With every rough wipe at her face came another waterfall.

"Why are you crying Rey?" She asked the question to her reflection, her voice quiet.

Through the mirror she could see her ruffled up hair and the red puffiness of her eyes.

"There's no reason to cry."

She reached over to touch the smooth surface of the mirror. The tears had stopped coming for a moment but the drops still left stains down her cheeks.

From under her shirt she spotted a single chain. Pulling it out she stumbled upon the necklace. The gold-yellow stone still shining and as beautiful as always. She clutched the charm in her palm, rubbing against the rock's smooth surface.

Then she found herself crying again. And this time she didn't try to hold back the storm. She let it consume her.

"Rey? Are you still there?"

He felt like an absolute idiot. It was in the middle of the night and most of the castle had gone asleep. Ren didn't know why he was up but he remembers waking up in a cold sweat, gasping out her name.

That led him to think she was in danger. It was quite stupid if he actually came to think of it but he already decided to make a trip to the dungeons.

You let her free. Why would she still be here?

Scanning around the room, he walked towards the small exit he helped her escape through.

"Rey?"

The only response was the echo of his own voice.

"Ren? What are you doing here?"

He turned around sharply, placing the helmet back onto his head.

"N-nothing. Um, just making sure the escaped prisoner wasn't hiding down here somewhere or something like that."

Phasma raised a brow at his defensive response but she was quite tired and decided to think nothing much of it.

After she left down the hall, Ren decided to do something stupid.

Like extremely stupid.

He decided to go through the exit and find Rey himself. Even if he'd have to go to the most isolated country on the planet to find her.

It'll be worth it.

Somehow.

Hopefully it's good, I'm trying to be more accurate in portraying Rey and Ren's emotions to make them realistic so hopefully I'm doing decent with that¿?
