Frisk's P.O.V

I felt the warm sensation onto my body as the bright lights shine into my shut eyes which starts to hurt due to the brightness. I fluttered my eyes open and rubbed the tiredness out of them with my paw. I looked around to see a very messy room, I believe this is Sans's room. I stretched out my front paws and then back legs before arching my back high into a bridge before relaxing back down. I crawled out of bed and leave Sans's room before making my way downstairs to the kitchen.

"Papyrus? Sans?" I called out, but I got no reply. I looked around the kitchen and saw a plate of spaghetti shaped into pancakes with a note beside it. I walked over and picked up the note. It read:

DEAR FRISK,

GOOD MORNING CREATURE, I HOPE YOU SLEPT WELL TODAY. I'M SORRY WE DIDN'T TELL YOU ABOUT THIS BUT WE'RE DOING OUR 'USUAL' WORK TODAY. FOR ONE, MY BROTHER IS WORKING AT HIS STAND AND FOR TWO, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, IS WAITING FOR YOU TO BEGIN OUR FIGHT. SO PLEASE, ENJOY YOUR BREAKFAST I HAVE MADE FOR YOU TO BOOST YOUR ENERGY. I HOPE WE PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT!

- PAPYRUS

Placing the note back on the table, I grabbed the plate and shoved my face into it, munching on the pancakes; still, the taste is indescribable. After eating, I coughed a bit from the aftertaste and left the house. The cold morning air blew across the snow as I walked down and turned east of Snowdin. I feel much better with Sans and Papyrus looking after me yesterday. They gave me shelter, food, warmth, and comfort whenever I feel sad just like the way Toriel does to me in her little cottage. I looked down and notice that I still got my Pokégear with me. I wish I could call her but that will have to wait... 

I continued until I was far away from town and a fog came into my view and covers the air, making me impossible to see where I'm going. I stopped a bit to rub my eyes to see properly and in the distance was a tall figurine. I saw the red scarf fluttering in the breeze. His toothy grin widened under his skull as he raised a thick club and rest upon his shoulder. 

"AH, CREATURE. YOU HAVE COME AT LAST TO BEGAN OUR FIGHT." He boomed, "HOWEVER; THIS FIGHT IS HARDER THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE. AS YOU SEE, BEFORE WE BEGIN... I SHALL TELL YOU ABOUT SOME COMPLEX FEELINGS." He turned to walk to one side, "FEELINGS LIKE... THE JOY OF FINDING ANOTHER PASTA LOVER. THE ADMIRATION FOR ANOTHER'S PUZZLE-SOLVING SKILLS. THE DESIRE TO HAVE A COOL, SMART PERSON THINK YOU ARE COOL. THESE FEELINGS..." He turned back to me, "THEY MUST BE WHAT ARE FEELING RIGHT NOW!!!" He averted his gaze at the ground, "I CAN HARDLY IMAGINE WHAT IT MUST BE LIKE TO FEEL THAT WAY. AFTER ALL, I AM VERY GREAT. I DON'T EVER WONDER WHAT HAVING LOTS OF FRIENDS IS LIKE." He looked back with a slight frown, "I PITY YOU... LONELY CREATURE..." 

"He's not going to be friends with me?" I thought suddenly, feeling my heart starting to break.

"WORRY NOT!!! YOU SHALL BE LONELY NO LONGER!" He exclaimed, "I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL BE YOUR..." He stopped at his sentence.

"...Friend?" I guessed thoughtfully.

"NO..." He turned away while saying, "NO, THIS IS ALL WRONG! I CAN'T BE YOUR FRIEND!!!" He turned back to look at me, "YOU ARE A CREATURE! I MUST CAPTURE!!!" He raised his club from his shoulder, "I MUST CAPTURE YOU!!!" He then pointed his club at me, "THEN, I CAN FULFILL MY LIFELONG DREAM!!! POWERFUL! POPULAR! PRESTIGIOUS!!! THAT'S PAPYRUS!!! THE NEWEST MEMBER... OF THE ROYAL GUARD!" He flashed his grin and swung his club back, "GET READY, CUZ HERE I COME!"

"NOW CREATURE, PREPARE TO BE DEFEATED!" Papyrus yelled and began charging towards me using Bone Club. He swung his club at me but I stepped back while avoiding his attack. He grinned at me as he keeps moving forward while I keep walking backwards. "COME ON CREATURE, SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!!!" 

I'm not sure what I was doing but it was just like what Toriel ask me to do, you prove yourself that you're stronger to survive and fight against your opponent. Of course, none of my moves is going help me but I have to try. I used Charm on him, consists of making a cute face. (A/N: No idea if it was called Baby-Doll Eyes)

"CREATURE, WHAT ARE YOU FLIRTING WITH ME?" Papyrus asked, "WE'RE SUPPOSE TO BE FIGHTING; UNLESS... YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR ULTIMATE FEELINGS TO ME?" He grinned triumphantly, "AFTER ALL, I'M A MAROWAK WITH HIGH STANDARDS!!!"

"Well, since you like puzzles and making spaghetti... guess that means that I can make spaghetti too," I replied, making him gasp.

"OH NO!!! HOW DO YOU KNOW?!! YOU'RE MEETING ALL MY STANDARDS!!!" He exclaimed, and began to sweat "I GUESS THIS MEANS I HAVE TO GO ON A DATE WITH YOU...?"

"A date?" I repeated, narrowing an eyebrow.

"LET'S DATE L-LATER!! AFTER I CAPTURE!" He yelled, interrupting the conservation before charging towards me, "TAKE THIS! Bonemerang!" He threw his club through the air, attend to strike me but I dodged the attack and the bone returned back to Papyrus like a boomerang.

"Papyrus, stop. I don't want to fight you."

"NYEH? SO YOU WON'T FIGHT..." He asked as I nodded in response "THEN, LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN HANDLE THIS ATTACK, Bone Rush!" He held up his club and the bone suddenly changed to light green, he ran up to me and start swinging at me. I leant back and moved side-to-side from the thrashing club as I ended up tripping over my behind legs and fell onto the snow, "GOT YA NOW!" He raised his club over his head and swung it downwards forcefully. I immediately avoid the strike but crashed into a pile of snow. "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE, CREATURE!"

I popped my head out of the snow and crawled out when suddenly I felt myself fell down on the ground and Papyrus whack his club on my back. I yelped in pain and collapsed on the ground, the stinging sensation swelling inside my body.

Frisk - HP - 13/20

"What happened?" I thought, looking down and saw my heart turned dark blue.

"YOU SEE THAT, YOU'RE BLUE NOW!" He announced, "THAT'S MY ATTACK! MY Hidden Power! NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!"

"Well, that was sneaky move..." I slightly glared at him while my paw reaches over my back to soothe the injury I got from him. That whack nearly breaks my bones if he hadn't hit that hard. I used Wish and wait for my health to restore.

Papyrus charged in for a Bone Rush and I had scrambled around the field clumsily due to my back pain to dodge the swings. Papyrus cackled with laughter, he never had so much fun with me before. The smile underneath his mask grew wide, showing his small fangs. Finally, my Wish came true and my health was restored back to full.

Frisk - HP - 20/20

"NYEH, YOU ARE TOUGH! BUT NOT TOUGH ENOUGH!" He proclaimed, and notice my face was set into a cute one, "WHAT?! CREATURE, I'M NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT DATE THING, OKAY!!" He growled before sighing heavily, "IF NOT, I'LL USE MY SPECIAL ATTACK ON YOU!"

"His special attack?" I thought when he suddenly use Bone Club on me which I easily dodged since I was fast enough to move despite my back pain is painless.

"I CAN ALMOST TASTE MY FUTURE POPULARITY!!!" He grinned while he strikes a dramatic pose, "ME, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, HEAD OF THE ROYAL GUARD AND UNPARALLELED SPAGHETTORE! UNDYNE WILL BE REALLY PROUD OF ME AND THE KING WILL TRIM A HEDGE IN THE SHAPE OF MY SMILE!!!"

I tilted my head to one side in confusion. Undyne will be proud of him and the king will trim a hedge of him. There's still more I need to figure who are these individuals, a name with unknown characteristics is harder to figure out myself.

"AS FOR MY BROTHER, HE WILL... WELL, HE WON'T CHANGE VERY MUCH." He continued, "BUT I'LL HAVE LOTS OF ADMIRERS!! BUT..." He raised his club and pointed it at me, "WILL ANYONE LIKE ME AS SINCERELY AS YOU? SOMEONE LIKE YOU IS REALLY RARE... AND DATING MIGHT BE KIND OF HARD... AFTER YOU'RE CAPTURED AND SENT AWAY."

"What?! You cannot do that!" I cried.

"URGH... WHO CARES! GIVE UP!!" He shouted, raising his club and swung downward making another whack, this time on my sides. I yelped and I was thrown to the side of the battlefield. I stood up slowly and went limping towards him.

Frisk - HP - 15/20

"I will not give up, Papyrus. I will SPARE you, show you some mercy and go on this date." I countered, using Wish again to restore.

Frisk - HP - 20/20

"IF YOU WANT, THEN SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT! JUST ATTACK ME!" He yelled.

"Didn't say that I didn't warn ya," I mumbled, charging towards him using Quick Attack and tackled him. He cried out, stumbling backwards to regain his posture.

Papyrus - HP - 240/250

"Oh my god, are you okay Papyrus?" I asked worriedly. 

"NYEHEHHEH! THERE'S THE ATTACK I WAS LOOKING FOR!" He exclaimed, his grin widened more. "SUCH A DIRECT ATTACK ON ME, NOW THIS IS A FIGHT!"

The longer this battle keeps going, the more exhaustion we get. I was panting heavily, small clouds of hot air escape from my mouth as I breathe. Papyrus was exhaling all his air and inhale the most he could. His body is starting to shake, probably he used up all his energy.

"GIVE UP OR FACE MY... SPECIAL ATTACK!!!" He shouted, throwing his Bonemerang across the field and I easily dodged but that was a distraction because he was ready to strike me using Bone Club. I used Quick Attack to get away from him. "YEAH!!! VERY SOON I WILL USE MY SPECIAL ATTACK!"

"Not going to happen!" I charged towards him with Quick Attack and tackled him to the ground. He yelped again from the impact and growled.

Papyrus - HP - 220/250

He grabbed my neck and tossed me aside so he can get up from the ground and pick up his club.

"NOT BAD CREATURE! BUT IT WOULDN'T BE LONG UNTIL I USE THAT SPECIAL ATTACK  AND FINISH YOU OFF!!!" He taunted, using Bone Rush again.

I was getting so exhausted but I can't let Papyrus win, I have to win this fight in order to go on a date with him. I used Charm on him, as he started to get a bit flustered. He shook his head, focusing on his final attack. 

"THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE... BEFORE MY SPECIAL ATTACK!!"

"Okay, I get that 'Special Attack' talk, but why not use it on me?" I asked him, making him crack a big smile under his mask.

"IF THAT'S WHAT YOU ASKING, SO BE IT!" He throws his club behind him and raised both of his hands out, "BEHOLD...! MY SPECIAL ATTACK! Hidden Power!" He commanded, using his mystical powers to attack but he heard growling and chewing somewhere. "WHAT THE..." He looked behind himself and saw a Lillipup chewing on his bone. "WHAT THE HECK! THAT'S MY CLUB!" He cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted, "HEY! YOU STUPID DOG!" The Lillipup bulged its eyes in fright and look up at the mad Marowak. "DO YOU HEAR ME!? STOP MUNCHING ON THAT BONE!!!" The Puppy Pokémon grabbed the bone and fled the battle. "HEY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! COME BACK HERE WITH MY CLUB!!!" He was about to chase after him but he was already gone. "GRRRR... I'LL GET YOU FOR THAT!" He turned back to me, "SORRY ABOUT THAT CREATURE, I'LL JUST CONTINUE TO FIGHT USE WITHOUT MY CLUB, I CAN STILL USE MY Hidden Power!"

Shifting myself into position ready, Papyrus's body becomes outlined in orange and he forms a light green orb of energy in between his hands. After completing, he fired the orb towards me. I leapt into the air and the orb exploded into the snow where I was standing. I landed back down and Papyrus threw another one at me. I moved to one side but that was a distraction when the third one took a direct hit on me. I fell on the ground with a loud thud.

Frisk - HP - 5/20

"Oww..." I whined, rubbing my back with my paw and stood back up again but I limped a bit, making me harder to move around again. I looked back up and saw Papyrus smirking at me and forms another orb to finish me off. After forming the last orb with the last bit of his energy, he fired it and I was about to take the hit when the orb suddenly went past me, causing it to blast into the trees. I can hear him breathing heavily and he placed his hands on his knees.

"WELL...! *HUFF* IT'S CLEAR... YOU CAN'T *HUFF* DEFEAT ME!!!" He panted while breathing deeply. 

I was exhausted too, that dodging was making me so tired that I can't stand up much longer. My legs trembled underneath me as I tried to maintain my strength. Papyrus seemed to notice that and grinned.

"YEAH!!! I CAN SEE YOU SHAKING IN YOUR BOOTS!!" He smirked, "THEREFORE I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, ELECT TO GRANT YOU PITY!! I WILL SPARE YOU, CREATURE!!!" He walked over to me slowly and held out his hand, "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO ACCEPT MY MERCY."

I smiled a bit and about to reached out to grab his hand when I suddenly fainted from exhaustion.

Papyrus's P.O.V

I gasped as Frisk collapsed right in front of me. I started to panic and picked her up into my arms. I carried her back to our house and set her down on the couch gently. I placed her head on a fluffy pillow and covered her body with the blankets from yesterday. I was so worried, I didn't mean to push the creature's limit too far, I was so carried away that it will make me feel worst to see a condition like this. But alas, I, The Great Papyrus have both failed and worried; failed to accomplish my mission to join the Royal Guard and worried about her.

I noticed her body was moving, making me perked up to see if she's starting to wake up. Her eyes slowly opened to reveal those shiny brown eyes. She looked around before she turned to meet my gaze.

"What happened?" She asked quietly.

"YOU FALL IN THE SNOW, UNABLE TO MOVE. SO I CARRIED YOU BACK HERE BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED." I replied softly, no longer using my loud voice to the exhausted creature in front of me.

"Oh, I'm sorry if I did that to you." She apologized.

"DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT CREATURE, THE GREAT PAPYRUS UNDERSTANDS YOU." I took a seat beside her and sighed, "LISTEN, I CAN'T STOP SOMEONE AS WEAK AS YOU... I FEARED THAT UNDYNE IS GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED IN ME." He lowered his head and stare at the ground. "I'LL NEVER JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD... AND... MY FRIEND QUANTITY WILL REMAIN STAGNANT!"

"Don't feel down Papyrus, at least I'm okay. Besides, why don't we become friends?" She confided, placing her paw on my shoulder.

"REALLY!?" I squeaked with excitement, "YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH ME???"

"Of course!" She nodded.

"WOWIE! THIS IS GREAT!" I jumped off the couch with a cheer and turned back to face her with a huge smile, "I GUESS I CAN MAKE AN ALLOWANCE FOR YOU!" I continued, and then realized what I had forgotten, "OF COURSE, WE HAVEN'T EVEN HAD OUR FIRST DATE... AND I'VE ALREADY MANAGED TO HIT THE FRIENDZONE!!!" She giggled at that, "WHO KNEW THAT ALL I NEEDED TO MAKE PALS... WAS TO GIVE PEOPLE AWFUL PUZZLES AND THEN FIGHT THEM??" I beamed at Frisk, "YOU TAUGHT ME A LOT, CREATURE. I HEREBY GRANT YOU PERMISSION TO PASS THROUGH AND I'LL GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS TO THE SURFACE." I marched towards the windows behind the couch before resuming, "IF YOU LIKE CREATURE, YOU CAN CONTINUE FORWARD ON YOUR JOURNEY UNTIL YOU REACH THE END OF THE CAVERN. THEN... WHEN YOU REACH THE CAPITAL, CROSS THE BARRIER."

"The Barrier?"

"THAT'S THE MAGICAL SEAL TRAPPING US ALL UNDERGROUND. ANYTHING CAN ENTER THROUGH IT, BUT NOTHING CAN EXIT... EXCEPT SOME WITH A POWERFUL SOUL... LIKE YOU!!!"

"Me?"

"YES! THAT'S WHY THE KING WANTS TO ACQUIRE SOULS FROM A GROUP KNOWN AS 'Eeveelution'. HE WANTS TO OPEN THE BARRIER WITH SOUL POWER. THEN US POKEMON CAN RETURN TO THE SURFACE!"

"Wow..."

"OH, I ALMOST FORGOT TO TELL YOU..."

"What is it?"

"TO REACH THE EXIT, YOU WILL HAVE TO PASS... THROUGH THE KING'S CASTLE. THE KING OF ALL MONSTERS... HE IS... WELL... HE'S A BIG FUZZY PUSHOVER!!! EVERYBODY LOVES THAT GUY. I AM CERTAIN IF YOU SAY... 'EXCUSE ME, MR. DREEMURR... CAN I PLEASE GO HOME?' THEN HE'LL GUIDE YOU RIGHT TO THE BARRIER!" I bragged and check the time on the clock, "ANYWAYS, THAT'S ENOUGH TALKING FOR ME! WE HAVE A DATE TO SETTLE. SO PLEASE, CREATURE, HAVE A REST UNTIL YOU RECOVERED THEN WE'LL HAVE OUR DATE."

She nodded and settled in her bed as I tucked her in. When she falls asleep, I quietly crept up the stairs to my room and closed my door before planning on what to do on a date with me and Frisk. This is going to be quite exciting...
