Yellow's POV
Bill led me up the winding path to Iki Town. Iki Town in itself was quite small, a few houses dotted here and there, a big house in the far left hand corner, and some woods with an earthen path leading into them.

"Whoo! Iki Town! We must find the Kahuna!" Bill said, as eager as ever. "Kahuna? What is a Kahuna?" I still couldn't get my head round the weird new format of things. "Kahunas are the hosts of grand trials, stuff you face on your island challenge. Whoo!" He replied. That guy must be addicted to saying that. "Okay. But what does he look like?"
"A Kahuna looks like a Kahuna!" Great description. That really helped me. "He probably went up Mahalo Trail. Whoo! Yellow, go look for him. Whoo!"

I guess Mahalo Trail was the earthen path leading through those woods. As I approached it, I spotted a girl around my age by it.
She has long sandy brown hair, green eyes, a beautiful white dress with a matching hat, a white bag completing the look.

I watched further and her bag shook, emitting a jingling noise. "You want to go to the ruins? Okay Nebby," she spoke looking at the bag. What kind of bag moves, makes a noise and is called Nebby? Curiosity grabbed hold of me and I found myself following her. I seemed to have forgotten the saying my mother always told me: curiosity killed the Meowth. I walked further until the woods consumed me completely...

Green's POV

I had trudged up to Mahalo Trail. Nebby pewed with impatience. "You want to go to the ruins? Okay Nebby," I spoke softly to the cute, strange and unique pokemon. Thank Arceus, Nebby was alright.
*Flashback*
I ran, legs aching. Heart pounding. Lungs bursting. I had to escape. People rushed after me in uniforms. They close in smiling evilly. Then Nebby started to glow. A weird blue portal sucked us up. The workers looked on, enraged. Nebby hadn't woken up for a while after that effort to save us. To save me.
*End of Flashback*
When we arrived at the bridge before the ruins, Nebby made the bag shake, 'pewing'. I looked at it sternly, "You can't come out! We'll get into trouble if anyone sees you." Nebby looked at me sadly. Then the little blighter has to disobey me and fly out onto the old bridge! It looks so happy but the moment doesn't last.

A flock of spearow appear, swooping to attack Nebby. It cries out, cowering. I'm weak and ridiculous, I can't help it. It's just like the last time...

A shadow comes out behind me, more spearow? But no, it's a girl. She looks at me quizzically, "Who are you?". I shake my head, no time for introductions I decide as Nebby cries out again, " Nevermind me, you have to help it, please, save Nebby!" I sound pathetic, baby-ish. "Pe-e-ew..." Nebby says, terrified.
"Those spearow are attacking it! But... But I'm too afraid to go out there... My legs feel like they might give out..." I want to smack my head in frustration. Stupid Green Aether (A/N: I'm making Aether her surname), she can see the spearow are attacking it, you also sounded like such a drama queen. The girl then rushes across, no pokemon aiding her. She crouches over Nebby, shielding it from the spearow. If we were in the Divergent series I would have placed her in either Dauntless or Abnegation or Amity.

The birds start to attack more ferociously. Nebby begins to glow like last time. The blast of energy explodes the part of the bridge that the girl and Nebby are on. I scolded myself again, stop thinking about books! (I relate Green) As they plunge down the ravine, sparks fly as Tapu Koko saves them in the nick of time. "Pew!" Nebby exclaims in awe.

"Oh thank goodness. You tried using your power again... Didn't you? Oh Nebby... You know what happened last time you used it. You couldn't move for ages after that. I don't want to see you like that again! No... I shouldn't say that. I'm sorry, Nebby... I know you were trying to save me that time... And I couldn't even help you in return..." I said feeling ashamed.
"Pew!" Nebby goes towards a sparkling thing.
"What is that?" I ask. "A sparkling stone? It feels almost warm somehow." I realised I hadn't cleared the air yet, "Please forgive me... I am so grateful to you for helping us out of that dangerous spot."
She looked embrassed, "It's okay. Also, are you the Kahuna?"
I laugh, "No. I think this stone should belong to you, though." I handed over to the blonde. "Please... Don't tell anyone about this... About seeing Nebby... It's... It's a secret, OK?" I say then I turn to look at the little troublemaker, "come on. Into the bag, Nebby." Nebby returned it with a pew and flying back in. I face the entrance and stride there but fear makes me halt and turn around. "Um... I'm worried we might get attacked again by some wild pokemon or..." I wanted to bring up them but I didn't, "or something. I know it's too much for me to ask it, but... Do you think you could see us back to town?" I start walking wondering if she'll follow. She does, "Sure. I don't mind."

As we arrived in small Iki Town my eyes caught sight of Bill, his lab coat still open. "Hey! Yellow!" He shouts. So that was her name. "Looks like you missed the Kahuna, yeah?" The girl turned all shy, I take in the fact she has a slight Kantonian accent, I guess she just moved here so she doesn't know him that well.

Bill turned back round to Yellow, "Looks like you already met, but just in case, this is my assistant!" He followed it up with a 'yeah!'. He motioned his hands at me. My instincts kicked in and I realised Yellow was looking at me eagerly. "Oh... Um... Yes!" Pull yourself together Green! "You can call me Green." Of course she can, it's your name, idiot. Bill adjusted his cap but left his lab coat wide open, does he have to walk around half naked all the time? "And Green, this here is Yellow. She just moved here to Alola! Take good care of her!" He shouted, luckily I've become accustomed to that. I spoke up, "So... You're also one of the professor's acquaintances? It's nice to meet you."

The sun was suddenly blocked by a tremendous figure. Everyone turned towards it saying stuff like:
"The Kahuna is back!"
"Kahuna Samuel has returned!"
"Our Guardian's chosen one is back!"
"Only one of the strongest pokemon users in all Alola, yeah!"
I think that last one came from Bill, who, in turn, ran up to him. The Kahuna looked around, "Have I missed something?"
Kukui pouted, "Naw, but where'd you go off to, Kahuna? I thought we were meeting here." They were all being very formal. Kahuna. Hmm... There's four of them, no wait... Poni doesn't have one anymore. There is Samuel, a Fighting-Type user; Wisty, a Rock-Type user and Silver, a Dark-Type user. Samuel shrugged Bill's comment off, "I am Kahuna of this island after all. Whenever there is a problem on the island, it is my duty to resolve it. Sorry, Green. What were you saying before? For some reason I thought I saw Tapu Koko flying about..."

I responded, "Oh, um... Yes, Kahuna Samuel. Nebby was being attacked by Spearow on the Plank Bridge when this girl helped it get away. But the bridge collapsed and I thought both of them might fall to the bottom of the ravine. And that was when the island's guardian deity swooped in to save them!" This made me gasp for breath afterwards. Bill smiled, "Woo! That's something you don't hear everyday!"
Samuel looked impressed as well, "Even though it protects us, Tapu Koko is said to be rather fickle. But it was moved by your compassion, Yellow. Bill, I think we have a reason for a celebration! I think you deserve a starter pokemon Yellow. I'm sure you'll do great things. I'm Samuel, Kahuna of Melemele island and I welcome you warmly to Alola! Come my pokemon, let's have a look at you!" And he brought out three standard pokeballs. A cat, sea lion (or was it seal?) and owl emerged and landed gracefully on the stage.

"First is the Grass-type Rowlet!" Samuel pointed to the owl.
"Koo!" It was round and brown and was that a leaf bowtie?
"Next is the Fire-type Litten! He pointed towards the cat.
"Mrowr..." Well, what was to say? It looked like a cat.
"And last is the Water-type Popplio!" He waved his huge hand at the sea lion.
"Bwark?" It seemed a bit confused.
Samuel finally swung his body to face Yellow, "So, Yellow..

Which Pokémon will you choose as your partner?"

And that's the second chapter finished!
