Chapter 8: Text
The following Friday, Jungkook was walking to the restaurant for an interview. The younger jogged down the street with a black hoodie sweater, long, black skinny jeans, and black boots. The only reason why he dressed out this way because after the interview, it will be late at night so Jungkook had time to head back home and gather his things to head to the club and gamble.
Today was the day Jungkook was going to see Jimin again in the club. Hopefully, Jimin would understand that Jungkook was no longer going to gamble after that. Jungkook knew his Mother despised gambling and only wished to do it once more before trying to quit. Of course, he only wanted to do this secretly.
Jungkook walked into a restaurant where there was private room for some customers who want to smoke or spend some alone time while they dined. The younger stepped in and walked to a random worker and got their attention almost instantly. Jungkook approached an older woman with dark silk hair tied into a bun, white dress shirt with a frilled designed collar that lead to the center of her buttoned shirt that was tucked into a black pencil skirt. Jungkook locked eye contact with the woman and greeted her respectfully.
"Hello! Where's Mrs. Yin?" Jungkook asked not realizing the woman looked down at her name tag. Showing that she was the Manager. "O-Oh I'm sorry! Ah, My name is Jeon Jungkook, my friend Jung Hoseok told me that he-"
"Yes I know who you are. Hoseok is such a good child! Recommending a good and hard worker like you! So, what I like to do is not make an interview, rather I watch the employee show me how good of a worker they really are! But for starters, Tell me a little something on why I should hire you?"
Jungkook made a smile and cleared his throat. "Well, I've been told I have a great smile, I'm very respectful and responsible!" Jungkook replied as the woman nodded her head and kept her gaze at the younger.
"You know, Jungkook... I think I want to put you up as the host or a busboy. But, let's see how you do now." Mrs. Yin stated and started walking off to a nearby employee lounger where there was extra red colored busboy aprons there. "We need more busboys. So, show me you can clean that customer room under a minute!"
"W-Which room?" Jungkook asked as the woman pointed to the one a couple just left. Jungkook sighed to himself, gathering himself up to hurry to the room with a tray and pick up the mess of plates in the area.
Jungkook walked into the room, quickly and started to pick up the empty plates with half eaten leftovers. "Just need to get through the day... I hate working but atleast I'm doing this for Mother." Jungkook thought while he reached over for the dirty side bowls on the table as his necklace dangled from his neck again. "And of course I need to do it for Jimin..." Jungkook added, swiftly placing the dirty dishes onto the trays.
Jungkook managed to get through the first task and complete it under one minute, in time for the next customers to go in. After a long day of many tasks at once, Jungkook had to clean tables and greet people all under the watch of the employer. This was no trouble for him but through it all, he kept thinking on how he would think of his opponent, Park Jimin.
Of course, Jungkook looked back at what he was thinking while he cleared the tables and that was when he claimed, doing it for Jimin too. "What's wrong with me? Jimin is just an opponent who lost a round of Poker to me and also lost his necklace to me too! There's no reason for me to set him on a high pedestal. He was only doing what he had to do!" Jungkook said to himself as he was sitting in the employee lounge room as he waited for Mrs. Yin to bring the paperwork for him.
Jungkook scoffed to himself. Beginning to realize that this whole small idea of putting Jimin at the top of his list was just asinine. However, his mind did tell him Jimin wasn't all that to worry about... Yet Jungkook still kept the necklace on and constantly gazed at it time to time with a big smile on his face.
"Here you go, Jungkook! You can take those paperworks home and bring them back when you can! We would love to have you here." Mrs. Yin said. The woman was excited to have Jungkook there and hoped he would sign the papers to turn it in soon so he can get started.
"Oh, thank you!" Jungkook thanked the woman and went on his way to head home in the dark. Jungkook ended up proving to the lady that he was capable of working there so Mrs. Yin was impressed. The younger stayed at the restaurant for two to three hours or so, taking up his time so he can easily get home, wait for later and head out gambling. This is what he was waiting for the whole day. Even if he wouldn't be able to gamble ever again, he planned to make this a great night against Jimin.
Jungkook was on his way home when suddenly, an unknown number contacted him and sent him a message. The younger unlocked his phone and accessed it, gazing at the text message before completely stopping on his way home.

U/N:
You better not
chicken out. It's you
and me tonight. Bring
your best game because
you don't want to lose
to this new deal I have
in mind. See you later.♠

Jungkook read over the message repeatedly and automatically knew who it was. It was Jimin! He suddenly felt a shiver roll down his spine. Questioning himself where did Jimin get his phone number? Jungkook looked around and let out a scoff. "That man..." Jungkook chuckled as he decided to text Jimin back.
__________________________________________UNKNOWN NUMBER______
Oh, Jimin! For a second
there I thought it was just
a small elementary kid
threatening me to play a
round of Pokémon cards!
U/N:
Hysterical, Jeon Jungkook.
Very hysterical. Just make
sure you show up tonight
because I'll win and
show you who runs this.
After all, a soft, little
Bunny Boy like you has no
place in a wolf's den.
😂 I admire you for
going so far enough to
get my number from I
don't know where. But I'll
be there all night.
U/N:
Don't worry where
I got your number... I know
people. Anyways, I'm
still shocked they let
Highschoolers like
you inside. Not a
safe place for a little guy
like you. I doubt you can
take shots like a man.
Hey, I mean if they
let small elementary kids in
like you, I know they'll let
just about anyone in!
Besides, I haven't ever
taken any shots of alcohol,
But I bet I can take it better
than you can~🍷
U/N:
So the cute and
Innocent Bunny wants
to drink and play~ such
a risky mind you have up
there. I like you~ so, after
I beat you, I'd like to see
how much you can take
for a drink.
Sounds like a plan, I'll
see you later and may
the best one win. ♠
