Chapter 77: A peaceful place
Jimin hugged Jungkook tightly in his arms as he opened his eyes to see someone through the window, gazing back at the two. Jimin only smiled, realizing it was Mrs. Jeon and Hoseok gazing at the two. "We have an audience...." Jimin whispered. But by now? Jungkook didn't care about it. He looked up at the window to see Hoseok and of course his wonderful and supportive Mother's smile at the two.
This was what Jungkook wanted. He wanted this more than anything and that was to finally have Jimin in his arms with the support of his lovely Mother. Just with one smile, Jungkook knew his Mother was all in to support him. Jungkook looked back at Jimin and made a cute smile. "I don't care~" Jungkook added, giving Jimin a kiss on the lips as he can hear Hoseok shouting and cheering from the inside, followed by an applause from the Mother as she made a huge smile on her face.
"Jungkook.." Jimin whispered and looked into his lover's eyes. "I want you to come with me..." Jimin added as Jungkook tilted his head and smiled.
"You already want to take me home?~"
"Hmm.. Not yet... I just want to take you somewhere.. Somewhere to see the sunrise atleast..." Jimin added as he held Jungkook's hands. "I have to show you something... I know one side of you is still upset..."
"Jimin-"
"No, let me... I need to show you.." Jimin added, taking Jungkook's hand and waving at the Mother and Hoseok through the window before running off to the car.
"Where are they off to?" Mrs. Jeon wondered as Hoseok suddenly began to laugh, having dirty thoughts.
"To have some fun." Hoseok chuckled, patting the Mother's shoulder. Leaving the Mother's eyes wide open at the response.
As soon as Jungkook got into the car, he realized Jimin would probably take him to the penthouse to spend some time together... Which would be a great time to show Jimin the necklace! Jungkook quickly got out of the car making Jimin raise an eyebrow, watching the boy run off to the house for a while.
Jungkook dashed through the living room and up the steps leaving Hoseok and the Mother to question what Jungkook was in a rush for. The younger ran into his room, grabbing one of his old watch boxes with a small cushion there to hold the saphire inside securely. Jungkook checked up on the gem to realize it was dry now and all was left was to surprise Jimin with it. But only when the time is right.
Jungkook managed to place the necklace into the box perfectly, closing the box and dashing out of the house to return to Jimin. Only hiding the box in the pocket of his jacket to give it to Jimin for later. Jungkook then met up with Jimin in the car, giving off a big smile as Jimin began to chuckle.
"What's so funny?"
"Oh nothing~ I guess I have a surprise for you too! But that's until later~" Jungkook whispered to Jimin, closing the car door and making sure he kept one hand in his pocket to hold the box in place. During the car ride, Jungkook layed his head on Jimin's shoulder, gazing up at the older as he stayed there in silence. "Where is he planning on taking me?" Jungkook thought as Jimin caressed Jungkook's hair back and looked at thr boy silently.
"What are you thinking about, Baby Boy?" Jimin asked as Jungkook smiled and raised his hand up to cup Jimin's face.
"Where are you taking me?" Jungkook asked, but Jimin stayed silent.
"Somewhere..." Jimin responded as Jungkook chuckled and looked into Jimin's eyes.
"Jimin..." Jungkook whispered, catching his lover's attention again. "I wanted to tell you that, I feel really sorry about hurting you last time.." Jungkook whispered, still locking his bright gaze at his lover.
"It's okay.. I deserve it as much as the next guy. What I did to you... Was much more horrid that what you did to me..." Jimin replied. Making Jungkook feel like he was the right one all along. Even if they both were wrong about it.
"But.... I told you many things... Things about never wanting to see you again, calling you a mess and telling you distasteful words. I went too far with it. Shattered your treasured item of what was left of your Mother's and leaving you to suffer alone..." Jungkook continued but Jimin just smiled through it and combed Jungkook's hair back to kiss Jungkook's forehead.
"Listen... You know what I did-"
"But you were forced! I should have understood that and blamed the one who forced you to do it. I'm sorry." The boy apologized again and again making Jimin only bring the boy into a hug. "I-I should have believed you but I didn't.... I broke what was left of you and now you toss it aside like some pubishment. You really do love me... Love me enough to accept what ever knife or bullet I throw at you." Jungkook added as Jimin only kept the boy in his arms, silently caressing Jungkook's head.
"Just wait until we get there... I know you'll have more to say, just hold on there." Jimin whispered to the boy's ear. Eventually, Jungkook fell asleep on Jimin's chest on their way to their destination. The older was still awake, gazing out the windows as the dark blue skies were slightly turning a bright orange. Very soon it'll be sunrise.
The car drove up to a big hill where the oceans crashed onto the rocks at the bottom. The place was beautiful and had a great view of the sunrise approaching slowly. Jimin tapped Jungkook awake and wrapped a blanket around him. "I know you have a coat on... But I can't risk you getting a little cold..." Jimin said with a smile as Jungkook yawned, hearing the sounds of waves as Jimin placed his arm around the younger and helped him out the car.
"The beach?" Jungkook yawned again and rubbed his eyes. "What are we doing here?"
"Just to look around..." Jimin answered, walking with Jungkook up the hill. "We're almost there... Just up the hill, Baby Boy." Jimin mentioned as Jungkook just kept his gaze down at the ground, close to stopping and falling asleep on the green grass below them.
The skies were slightly turning more lighter, the ocean clashed onto the shore, and the strong wind started to roar. Jungkook can already sense the salt water from the ocean and the sounds of the peaceful wind early in the morning. Jungkook yawned again and looked up to stay awake, but only then... Something caught his eye. The boy suddenly stopped to see a figure of a gravestone up ahead. Making Jungkook fully awaken now.
"No.." Jungkook whispered as his eyes started to water. "It can't be..." Jungkook added, walking up on his own in a rush to see the gravestone while Jimin stopped to give Jungkook some time. Jungkook made it up to the gravestone and read off the words engraved onto the stone. Showing that it really was Jungkook's father. The name and the family name was there too and Jungkook couldn't help but to slowly crouch down and tear up silently. Glad he can finally see his father for once.
Jungkook couldn't really see Mr. Jeon's body physically... But he knew his father layed there before him and the boy only cried and placed his hand on the gravestone. "You... Left without a goodbye... I know I shouldn't cry right in front of you. Isn't the type of man you wanted me to be. But I can't help it when you're gone... I-I miss you... Mother misses you... And everyone's heart you touched. I guess... I can come here often to talk to you like I did before." Jungkook chuckled in tears as he wiped them with the blanket Jimin wrapped around him. "This is a beautiful place for you... I'm glad you are at peace in a place like this." Jungkook added and let out a sigh. "If only... I had the chance to hug you one last time or even share a laugh. Then, my goodbye would be less painful." Just then, Jimin walked up the hill to join the boy.
Jimin walked up to Jungkook and softly patted Jungkook's back. Comforting him as Jungkook shed the bit of tears that flowed on their own. Jimin then crouched and hugged the younger making Jungkook finally pry his tearful gaze off the gravestone and raise his hands up to hug Jimin close. "I'm sorry..." Jimin apologized again, but then, Jungkook started to chuckle through his tears, wiping them and making a smile towards his boyfriend.
"Sorry? I should be thanking you for doing this for me... You... You took me here. Now I know he's at peace in a beautiful place." Jungkook added and still hugged Jimin, slightly pulling his head away to look up to the sun that was starting to rise. "You know... Being here with you is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me... And most of those moments are my times spending with you." Jungkook chuckled as Jimin smiled and looked at the boy.
Jimin knew now that Jungkook's whole emotion changed. Just before he held in anger and longed for revenge over his father's death. But now, he was able to move on from his father's death peacfully. Letting Mr. Jeon rest now and finally, Jungkook was able to move on with his own life knowing his Father was resting in a beautiful place and was given such a calm burial out of everything that has happened.
