A description.

This first chapter is just a summary of the 'rules' of this Pokémon world.

Most people start their Pokémon adventures at the age of 18, not ten.

Although you CAN go on a Pokémon journey to become the champion, it is only an option for a career. Most people have regular jobs. And as a champion, elite four member, gym leader, or trainer in general you earn money based on your rank and how many battles you win. You can bet money on a match if you want to.

Most people get their first Pokémon at a young age, most who don't go on journeys only have one or two Pokémon.

The world is much bigger than it is in the games. That is to be expected.

Pokemon are much stronger than humans. If a person gets hit with a hyper beam they are in the hospital with burns covering 90% of their body in the best case scenario. Cadaverific in all other situations.

Hospitals are just as awesome as Pokémon centers are. Healthcare and shit is a joke. As long as you're not dead you'll probably survive and make a full recovery so rule 5 isn't as bad as you think.

People have smart phones, the internet, etc. Almost everyone has at least heard of every Pokémon in the region they live in and know the legendary Pokémon.

People know stories of Legendary Pokémon, but don't have proof that they exist. They do exist. They just hide themselves that well. Plus they kinda all have at least some way to speak English and erase/alter memories.

Pokeballs behave differently. All they do is bond person and Pokémon. They don't keep them inside.

Only Pokémon that are OK with being caught can be caught. Pokeballs are completely ineffective on anything that doesn't want to be bound to a human.

Pokémon and humans are on equal terms in level of intelligence and live together with humans because the relationship is mutually beneficial.

Pokémon and humans eat the same food and regular animals do exist, but in the background. They will hardly be mentioned in this story, but they do exist so no miltank meat. It's cow meat in the burgers.

The majority of Poke-logic in general is cut besides instant healing, the Joys and Jenny's being identical, and Pokémon items still work like in the games.

The way gyms work is you tell the leader how many badges you have, and they use one of eight teams to fight based on how many you have.

You can have more than six Pokémon, but you can only use six at a time in a battle.

Pokémon retain all of their moves. They do learn to do more and more as they get stronger though.

There is an app that scans your Pokémon and gives key information on it like level, stats, and ability. Levels are based on how strong a Pokémon is. So an abnormally strong Digglet could be level 100 and when it evolves it reaches 100+. The meter does cap at 100, but anything stronger is read as 100+. 100+ Pokémon are unbelievably rare though as it usually takes years of intense training, potential, and natural skill for any Pokémon to reach that level. Usually legendary Pokémon are at this level.

Pokémon items don't work on people, but berries, rare candies, lava cookies, poffins, pokeblocks, and other edible pokemon items are as tasty as they look...... I'm drooling thinking about it.........

Pokémon understand English, they still speak their name. There are a rare group of experts that can translate and speak pokespeak. (That's what I call the language deal with it.)

Pokémon often travel around to whatever region they want so any Pokémon can be found in any region.

Some of the rules above are null and void for certain characters..... You'll see.....

That should about do it. If you have any questions leave a comment below!
