A mysterious shadow plague has begun to corrupt Pokémon through the region. Turning them to darkened forms of themselves and causing wild Pokémon to attack humans and tame Pokémon to attack their own trainers.

Scientists have determined that this disease is transferred through bites but for some reason no Dark, Poison or Ghost type Pokémon have changed and no one seems to know how the plague started.
