Welcome to Jugust's Special Event! (July + August)

Unlike the previous one-shot contests we've always held, this is our first official short-story contest! What makes a short story different from a one-shot is the word count: the minimum for PWL short stories is 3,000 and the maximum is 8,000. Your story, of course, must follow proper story guidelines and appropriate literature structure. It must feel complete given that you are provided more freedom to write more than the usual one-shots.

This short story contest is freestyle. There are no specific prompts other than the fact that the entry must pertain to the Pokemon fandom.

We only have SIX spaces available. First come, first serve basis. If you comment that you are joining, you will be expected to submit an entry on time. Do NOT comment if you think you have will have future complications in getting your entry turned in on time.

If you join, you will have the rest of July and all of August. Due date is set to be on August 31st according to your designated time zone.

If you join, you will be expected to be respectful and courteous of the final results.

**You will also have the option to partner up with one existing member of the PWL. Both of you must have agreed to join before the six spaces are filled. Between the two of you, ONE entry must be submitted, regardless of whose account is used for submission. How you two choose to communicate, write, and edit the entry is completely up to you two. You and your partner must have also agreed to the terms stated above.

All entries will be judged the same according to the rubric in the Q and A book. All entries will be recognized and ranked in order of the highest to lowest scores.
