For over two years now, Pokémon Writing League has been a part of the Pokémon Community on Wattpad. Because of your support, we had the opportunity to hold 15 contests so far (specials included). The aim of the Pokémon Writing League was to help writers escape writer's block and create a friendly environment and a series of contests for those who wishes to compete against each other. Not only did we succeed to do that, it was a delight to see new participants joining us, improving and writing stories that went on to place in PokemonWatties. It was a delight to see writers succeed and we are grateful to you for giving us this opportunity to witness this growth. We couldn't have asked for more.

But like everything else in the world, there comes an end to even the greatest of things. NaivEevee, our president, who set up this stage over two years ago, can no longer continue to run this place. She asked us, the rest of the staff, to run it in her stead but life is a little too busy for us to continue. We have had the opportunity to serve you—all of our 260 followers and the rest—this stage but this is as far as we can go. Though it is a tough choice to make, we are very sorry to tell you that Pokémon Writing League is officially closing. We would like to thank everyone of you—the president, staff members and every participant and follower—who made Pokémon Writing League a possibility and a success. Though me may part ways here, please do not forget that there will be tons of opportunities for you out there! So never give up and happy writing~

And no, our dear president isn't leaving us either. She'd be returning over the summer breaks so rest assured and happy April Fool's Day everyone!

And now that we're over it, let's start this again—I'm your friendly neighbourhood and a street racer, Sam and I hereby welcome you to the April Fool Special contest which is being held by none other than me!

This month's contest is, if you haven't noticed it already, April Fools & Easter Special. What do I mean by that is that, apart from the usual rules that are listed below, you've to write:

1. a one-shot with April's Fool Day as a theme while incorporating a trickster Pokémon in your entry, that is, a Pokémon that likes pulling pranks on people and Pokémon alike. You are free to choose one. The Pokémon doesn't have to play an important role in the story.

or...

2. a one-shot with Easter as a theme and you must use one of the following locations in your entry:
—Floraroma Meadow in Sinnoh Region
—Melemele Meadow in Alola Region
—National Park in Johto Region
—Route 6 in Kalos Region
The location doesn't have to play an important role in the story.

Note: Continuing the new trend, you can incorporate the theme "humour" in your entry to score additional points!

Now, to the basic rules of the contest:

— word count must be below three thousand.
— participants must tag at least one other user they think might be interested in participating
— entries written prior to April 1 will not be accepted
— deadline is the midnight of April 28, 2019 according to your designated time zone

To submit your entry, please PM us the title and word count of your entry. We will vote on your entry and add it to our April's reading list to confirm your submission.

Your entry will be judged according to guidelines we have posted in the Q&A Book i.e., entries will be judged solely on quality, originality and structure. If you have further questions, comment down below! If you wish to join, comment that down below as well!
