"This city is known to us as the city of bloody nightmares, because there is a clock on a mysterious tree somewhere here... where there is 13th hours. On this mysterious time, someone dies. You can hear their screams on that time all the time" I rubbed my arms, shaking "It always comes from that tree. I always try to avoid this place as much as possible"

"That's right" Xavier said "It's always crawling with hunters since they suspect that there's some vampire activities, but nothing really comes up. We just assume it's a ghost screaming at the haunting hour, but hunters always stick around just to be sure"

"W-Wow..." I shivered "To think a place as beautiful as thing has a dark secret in it" I shook my head "let's hurry and find the boys!" He nodded and looked at his Holocaster.

"I just told them that we're here, so they should be meeting us in front of the factory" we made our way to wherever the factory was while I was pinching my nose the entire time and looking at how beautiful the city was with it's fall colors in the tree. It's already Fall... to think I left home on my birthday in February. I came a long way since then...

"Hey Yannie?" Xavier called, looking at me pinching my nose "are you going to keep doing that?"

"Well" I responded with a weird voice "I don't want to gag the entire time. This place is polluted in the scent" he held his chin and slowed down his jogging. Shauna didn't notice and kept running "what can I do?"

"Would be smart to get you a gas mask at times like this. Who knows how long we'll be in this city" he sniffed the air "must suck to have a good sense of smell"

"Especially for today, but it's amazing when you're about to eat something that smells amazing" he chuckled "let's hurry" he took my hand and helped me run to our destination, finally seeing a large plain building with two pillars with large Pokéballs on top of them. So this is the place that makes Pokéballs to catch Pokémon. It makes me wonder what it was like when my mom was young. Did she have a Pokémon of her own without catching it?

It's best to not look into her past when it may hurt me later on. I got distracted that I ran into Xavier's back "what's wrong-"

"Get this man to stop chasing me! Dammit!" Trevor ran pass us. H-Huh..? Right behind him was a Team Flare grunt chasing after him.

"Stop right there, you grunt!" Shauna chased after him with Tierno running far behind. He lost his breath and leaned on his knees, later seeing us watching them.

"You guys are finally here! Thank goodness! We already took care of most of the grunts by battling! There are three others who are more powerful and won't leave the president alone!"

"Got it!" I said with the weird sound "I got this!" Xavier stopped me from going into the factory "what? What's up?"

"I recommend you looking for a mask to help you avoid the smell in the city. Breathing from your mouth won't be good for you" I pouted "I got this"

"Are you sure?" He winked and ran into the building. I looked back at Tierno running back towards Shauna again. It was just me now.

"Yeah, it would be annoying to battle while I'm doing this. My Pokémon won't hear me" I shook my head and started walking around the city, looking at everything while spotting people look at me funny. Where do I even begin to look for a mask?

"Get your Magikarp buns here!" A vendor yelled out.

"Young lady! Please try on this scarf! It's so soft!" A woman in a silk shop yelled out. I waved and jumped when someone else yelled at me.

"You seem hungry! How about some fresh ramen!?"

"We offer 50% off everything tonight!"

"Would you like to try on some clothes? A pretty girl like you should look around!" I blushed and panicked, not doing what to do! T-there are so many people yelling at me!

"Look at the pretty girl! Why not try some makeup? It'll bring out your eyes!" That's the last thing I want! I have contacts for goodness sake!

"N-No thank you..." I screamed in surprised when a girl in a kimono almost ran into me, holding a flyer.

"Oh, so sorry!" She smiled sweetly. I huffed, trying not to make it obvious that I knew she was a vampire. Strangely enough, her eyes had a sinister look to them "I just wanted to give you this flyer, but we almost ran into each other" she giggled, giving me the piece of paper "My boss is having a fashion show in a few days and she wanted to let everyone know!" Fashion show? That can only mean one thing!

"Oh?" I looked at a stunning model wearing the most beautiful kimono I had ever seen "This is beautiful" I gasped, but coughed because I almost forgot I was pinching my nose "S-Sorry"

"What's the matter?" She asked.

"There's a smell that's overwhelming... Would you happen to know where they sell mask?" She held her chin.

"We are going to sell tons of things at our booth. Why don't you come and see? We offer facials and hair styling" she cupped her mouth with her long sleeve "but look at you. You're so pretty! You'll be perfect for our fashion show!" Me? Pretty?

"How?" I accidentally blurred out. She looked confused "I-I mean..." it's awkward to state how I feel about my appearance in front of others "Where is the booth?" I nervously laughed. She laughed with me and asked me to follow her to another booth surrounded by the dozens of ones I had passed and so on. It's almost like a festival with so many people running around in kimonos.

The booth she took me to was filled with hanging kimonos that looked too pretty to wear! The shades of colors and flowers were unreal! They even had hair accessories, jewelry, and some girls having ladies doing their hair and had some stuff on their face with green circles on their eyes.

"What's that?" I questioned.

"You don't know what facials are?" How would I know what they are? "Every girl should enjoy a facial! We even offer vampire facials" she winked. I got a bit creeped out "They sound more dramatic then they are" she explained the whole concept, and may I just say... it sounds painful.

"But you don't have to do it if you don't want to. They are quite pricy" the girl giggled and played with the kimonos hanging around "these dresses are designed by the famous Valerie, the most popular designer in all of Kalos" a leader!

"It's truly amazing. It's wonderful to see people expressing what they love most" if Valerie is the kind of vampire to put her passion in her talents, she must not be evil, but it's too soon to tell "I still need a mask" She nodded and walked up to a table that had colorful fans, scarfs, fur collars, and mask!

"These are usually used for the winter" The girl picked one up "They are really good at blocking the cold wind. How about this one?" I put on the white mask and smelled through it, barely smelling any blood in the air.

"It's perfect" I smiled, finally able to lower my arm "thanks!" I dug in my bag, but she stopped me.

"Don't worry about it! It's on me" she waved her hand "I just need to know a few questions, if you don't mind" I huffed and was careful to not seem suspicious of her "First question! Would you like to join the fashion show and get the chance to wear one of these beautiful kimonos?!" She spun around, showing them off. I should be getting back to my friends, but I'm desperate to get through many leaders as I can.

"Sure" I said plainly. She blinked a few times. She calmed down and cleared her throat.

"Not the kind of reaction I expect" she sweat dropped "anyways! Second question! Since you said yes to join the show, would you mind us doing your hair?"

"Not really" she looked like she got a bit irritated at my tone.

"Hehe..." I can see a vain on her forehead "third question! Makeup?"

"Sure" her eye twitched, especially when I was getting impatient and showed it on my face "Any question that leads to doing something on me for the show is a yes. Is there anything else unrelated?" She huffed and crossed her arms.

"Fine. This is the final question! And you need to be very honest" I studied her movements and watched her lick her lips "What's your blood type?" She put back her smile "To see what your personality is like!" That's a weird excuse. I wonder if this is a way to lure in human girls.

"Negative AV" she stared at me, wondering if I was joking. Her mouth started drooling a bit.

"Y-You're joking, right?"

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Thanks to Augustine, my mom was able to know what her blood type was. Vampires don't hold negative blood types, so hers was positive V, while my dad was negative A. Me being a half breed, I gained both their types and am considered one of a kind like mom and Xavier.

"W-Wow..." the girl rubbed her hands, trying to act normal "That sounds amazing" she slurped a little "I bet you're able to save many lives, I mean" nice save.

"I suppose" I bowed to her "I look forward to being part of the show. What will I be wearing?" She waved her hand.

"I'll introduce you to the stylist who will pick out your kimono based on your beautiful face" I nodded and followed her behind a wall to a girl digging in a box filled with other clothes and sorting them "Blossom" the girl with shining brown hair with a flower on her ear stood up "We have another model I thought would go perfect for the show tonight! Would you be a doll and measure her for me?" The girl looked at me "I'm Linnea by the way, and you are?"

"Serena" I said.

"Beautiful! Please take care of her, she's a special one" I glanced at Linnea winking at Blossom and walk away. Can she be more obvious? I just know she's going to find a way to take my blood or something.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you. As before, I'm Blossom. I'll be your stylish today! We've lost a few of our models due to some things personal things they had to go through. Only a few stuck around, so I'm glad Linnea found you. You're very pretty"

"Thank you" I blushed as she searched for her measuring tape "Tell me, will I get hurt in any way? As in... Do you think I'll fall on the runway?"

"Of course not sweetie. We'll help you out before you walk on stage" she admired my face and raised her hand towards it "may I?" I smiled, knowing that will loosen her mischievous thoughts.

"Of course" she smiled and held my cheek, immediately freezing and looked into my eyes "It's nice to meet you. My name is Yannie" her eyes sparkled.

"Princess..." she quickly kneeled down "it is an honor to be at your presence" I blushed and got her to stand.

"The honor is mine" I took her hands "Please tell me, what is this fashion show really about?" She quickly nodded.

"Mistress Valerie is looking for new Consorts. She searches for the one with the most potential, which is another word for the best blood, and keeps them as her favorite while the other models die after she feeds off them" I cupped my mouth, horrified "She feeds on a new consort every 13th hour of the clock above the ancient tree. If you're lucky enough to be her favorite, you get to live"

"So this is just a game to her" she nodded "This is unacceptable. I have to do something about it" I handed her a dart from my bag "I need you to help me with this mission. Follow me, Blossom. I need someone who can protect me from her evil plans" she took the dart without hesitation "Insert this into your neck, and we will be linked" she lifted the dart with two hands, thanking me silently and stabbed her neck, groaning a bit as my blood is put into her system "I can't have others smelling my blood. Valerie is after me because of the elite four"

"It'll be an honor to serve you" she curtsied her kimono "allow me to measure you and I'll prepare you the most beautiful dress fitted for a princess!" I blushed and looked away.

"Whatever works for you" she put her hands together excitedly and started measuring me everywhere, even in places that were very embarrassing "do I have to come back before the show starts?"

"Absolutely. Please carry this with you" she handed me a pass with a fairy type symbol on it "The girls by the entrance of the fairy house will take you in and get you ready for the show. They'll do your hair and makeup" I played with my short hair.

"If they're able to do anything with it" she giggled.

"Don't worry about it. I look forward to seeing you again, Princess" I smiled and waved, leaving the booth with my mask still on my mouth and hurried over to the Pokéball factory, where I saw Trevor outside taking some notes.

"Hey, Trevor!" I ran up to him "Give me the details!"

"Shauna is still off chasing the grunt, trying to throw a dart at him, but keeps missing" I sweat dropped "Tierno is trying to help her and X is still in the factory. I'm out here for updates and trying to get corporate to come, but there's not really much signal in this city for some reason"

"Xavier is still in there?" He nodded.

"I'm guessing he's having a hard time with those vampires we were having trouble with as well" I dashed into the building that was as silent as night. I looked around, hearing loud noise of Pokémon crying out on the top floor. Absol escaped his ball and dashed towards the stairs with me until we made it to a lone room with Xavier sitting on the floor while holding his arm tightly, in the middle of battling one against three other Team flare scientist from the looks of it

"X!" I gasped, running to his side.

"Y!" He groaned at his arm "I landed on my elbow and numbed it" I rubbed his shoulders and pointed for Absol to fight the three Pokémon in front of us.

"Absol! Use Sucker Punch!" Absol jumped to beat the Pokémon all at once in almost lightning speed. They were out like a light. Xavier snacked his lips and smirked.

"I could had done that if I wasn't knocked down" I chuckled and looked at the two scientists and an admin standing in front of a empty desk.

"Seriously, what's with you guys?!" The girl with the red hair glared "We are trying to discuss business and a ton of you want to come and interrupt!"

"I'm not going to join you lot!" Someone behind the desk shouted "I'll never forgive any group that tries to take all the Poké balls for itself!" The girl rolled her eyes.

"Yeah yeah! Forget it! I'm irritated with all these people! You, intruder, who do you think you are?! You think you're so strong that you think you've won!?"

"Shut up! I had enough of you guys! Open your eyes! You're being brain washed!" I yelled. They just glared at me "If you know what's good for you, you'll leave before I make you regret it!"

"Heh! Whatever! We already got everything we need! Let's call it good and leave" I snorted and watched them run pass me with Xavier staring at them.

"Why did you let them get away?" He asked. I helped him get up.

"I'll handle them another time. They are just a distraction. As long as no one is hurt, I'm not worried about it" he nodded, agreeing. The man that was hiding behind the desk got out and stood to come and shake my hand.

"Thank you so much for saving us! You both are astounding hunters and crafters for being so young"

"We're just doing what we do best. Y here did most of the work here" Xavier said.

"You weaken them, so that's why it was so easy. You did great" I smiled at him. His cheeks became a slightly hint of pink.

"Very well, then. I want to show my appreciation" the man said, handing two items "a master ball and a big nugget" Xavier took the nugget and smiled at me.

"Both of these are valuable, but I'm sure you'll put that master ball to good use" I took the ball and stared at it. Will I? "We are relieved that everyone here is safe, please make sure to contact the hunters corp to let them know more details. We are unfortunately unable to contact anyone from the lack of signal"

"Yes. This city has a bad reputation in all sorts of ways. Poor reception is one of the reasons. Don't worry, I have my way of sending information. Don't you worry" Xavier nodded and walked me outside where our friends caught up with us.

"Looks like everything is quiet now. Good job everyone. Thanks a lot for coming when we needed it" Trevor said "I had to leave the city multiple times just to get signal and ask for help. The best method was sending a letter that I'm sure isn't send yet" he sighed "What a pain" Shauna giggled.

"Let's all to celebrate! My treat! I got the chance to steal some blood from that grunt after I knocked him out with a rock!" I sweatdropped "I couldn't shoot a dart at him, so I threw a rock instead" she rubbed the back of her head, nervously laughing.

"I can't wait. I'm starving!" Tierno laughed. Xavier looked at me.

"I better get to the Pokémon center to check on my elbow. I'll meet with you guys later" oh!

"I'll meet you guys later too" I said.

"Where are you going?" Shauna asked. I stuck my tongue out and showed her my pass.

"I'm going to be modeling for Valerie tonight in a fashion show" everyone stared at me before freaking out.

"WHAT?!"
