Chapter 51: Headquarters•

I shouted and kicked my way to freedom, but nothing was enough to rip off the ropes tying me back behind me "Let go of me!" I screamed, hissing like a maniac while Xavier was trapped beside me and Lysandre was staring down at me, observing me and my actions.

"I never would had imagined that you, of all people, would be one of those monsters" he stated "how bold of Professor Sycamore to put his trust on monsters like you"

"You have a whole organization filled with vampires!" Xavier glared "You want to talk about whose a real monster? Drop dead! You freak! We won't let you get away with this! We won't let you!"

"We? You mean the academy? And how exactly will you contact them without your holocaster?" Lysandre held Xavier's holocaster "I'm the one who created these. You think you can turn my own invention against me?" He dropped it and smashed it with his foot "Won't be needing that alway. I cut off the holocaster signal from everyone's device, so they're useless to you all, but still useful to us" he looked at me shaking in anger "Search her for something too" he told the grunts holding me down. When the two grunts tried searching me, I used my spell to frighten them.

"Don't you dare touch me!" They were shaken, but still stood by to keep me from escaping "Lysandre, know what's best for you and let us go. If you're so confident in your plan, why are you only holding us back and not the entire academy who will eventually come to beat your ass!" He shook his head and turned to look at his headquarters.

"This world will eventually reach the point of no return... saving the lives of all is impossible" I glared, knowing it wasn't true! "Knowing that, I only tied you down so you can hear me out. You can try your best to fight back. Nothing will stop me. Only the chosen ones will obtain a ticket to tomorrow" he offered his hands "two with such talent... Do you want to have a ticket? Or do you want to waste your time to try to stop me?" I grew my anger hard enough to escape the rope and send out my Lucario, who evolved from Riolu after training before we made it to Anistar City.

"I never trusted you since I laid eyes on you! You're nothing but trouble! Even my own mother, who loves everyone, dislikes you!"

"Your mother?" He snorted and send out his own Pokémon, battling me in the middle of a tight space. He laughed loudly after being defeated after using only one Pokémon "your conviction, and those of your Pokémon, pleases me! You are here to stop me" he shook his head "but I ask you to wait"

"Excuse me?" I was shaking so mad that I couldn't control myself "you dare as me for a favor? Do you know who I am?!" Xavier back kicked the grunts behind him and stood up without his hands just so he can stand between us "what are you doing?!"

"We won't get anywhere when you're like this!" He towered me "Yannie! Calm down before you ware yourself down!" I slowly lowered my shoulders, but I couldn't find myself to fully calm down.

"I tried to save people, and the world, with the profit from this lab" Lysandre told us "but my efforts did no good. The world was just too vast... and too full of fools that I couldn't save through my hard work alone..."

"What made you use vampires and force them by hypnotizing them to do your dirty work?" Xavier asked.

"Vampires may live longer than most, so I want to use them to purify life with their blood. As you may not know, not every member of my team are Vampires. Aside from that, my hard work is the reason why I decided the only way to save the world was to take it all for myself. I don't expect that I will ever make you understand how I think and feel..." he smirked all of a sudden and I blacked out after he mentioned a type of weapon I always had trouble getting by. A weapon... why must I be triggered at the worse possible time? I need to find a way to break the bond, but how?

I came back to life and looked at my surroundings, seeing that I was laying on a comfy bed and Xavier was sitting on a chair while shirtless and covered in cuts. Instead of listening to my cravings, I put my attention on why he got them in the first place.

"What happened..?" I asked, sitting up.

"I'm glad you came back to us, Princess" Mable smiled, dressing Xavier's sounds. I hissed at her, frightening her and drop the wraps.

"Don't touch him like that!" I flinched and covered my cheeks, realizing that I snapped only because someone was touching his bare chest "U-I'm Sorry!" I blushed, embarrassed. Xavier chuckled.

"What? Did you get jealous or something?" He laughed some more "Don't worry, my body belongs to you only. There's no sharing" my face went red hot.

"S-Shut up!" He laughed more. I pouted and looked at Mable bowing to me over and over "It's okay, I'm sorry for snapping at you" I frowned "I don't know what's gotten over me"

"You haven't fed in a while. Come here. I'll give you a sip" Xavier winked. I huffed and walked up to him, seeing him patting his leg so that I can sit on his lap. I resisted, but was desperate for his blood still tracing through my nostrils. I quickly sat down and bit him without warning.

"Princess" Mable spoke "I would like to inform that Xavier had been attacked by a few grunts using their Pokémon to scratch him up. His injuries aren't severe, but he will be fine" she bowed "Since he's occupied, I would like to inform that..." she sighed "oh right, I must be careful with my words" she held her chin "Team Flare have gathered data about all the trainers in the region through the holocaster. They know a lot about each trainer and hunter, but I looked deep into the research and discovered that you were nowhere to be found. You don't have a holocaster yourself. Which is good" I didn't think I'd be so happy to not have a modern piece of technology.

"And you know how the key stone is used to awaken a Pokémon's power, right? It's just like how the weapon that's going to be used can max out a Pokémon's power" I moved myself away from Xavier's neck and licked my lips, feeling refreshed "I'm blabbering a lot right now. Let me present you the key that will lead you to the next step" she gave me a key "This is the elevator key. You'll be able to reach Lysandre from here" I nodded and held it close.

"I'm glad I have someone like you on my team. I really appreciate you" she blushed and smiled.

"D-Don't mention it" she handed Xavier a dose of vampire blood "This should help restore your energy. I wish you both the best of luck" Xavier took his dose and joined me to the exit to find the elevator.

"The power of the legendary Pokémon..." I heard Mable talk to herself "The power to grant life to all around it... It's so mysterious that even I don't know anything about" legendary Pokémon? We left far enough where I couldn't hear her anymore.

"How long was I out?" I asked as we approached a elevator and walked in.

"Only a few minutes, I believe. I carried you all through the headquarters, battling other grunts, just to find Mable leading us to safety" I sighed in relief.

"I'm sorry you had to carry me. I hope I wasn't heavy"

"You don't even weigh a thing" he chuckled and pressed one of the buttons on the elevator and let it move down another level "You got yourself a good amount of blood from me, so don't go off snapping at anyone" I blushed ashamed and nodded. The elevator soon came to a stop, and we were faced with a long hallway with nothing but what looked like jail cells. I felt shivers going down my spine.

"It's so cold in here..." I held my arms "What's with this place?" We passed by every cell "there's nothing here" Xavier pointed up ahead, getting my attention. He was pointing at Lysandre looking up at another cell, I believe.

"Lysandre!" I ran up to him, hearing someone talking to him. I looked over at who was speaking and immediately felt a sharp pain in my head as we made eye contact. It was the man my mom warned me about to never remember again... The man who I drew about when I was little. The man... who destroyed everything with the Ulimate weapon.

My body was overwhelmed with pain, and I knew I didn't have time to go through another episode. I could hardly hear Xavier shouting my name. All I could do was try to control myself from ignoring something that may be important.

My memory brought me to those times when my mom was only a child, when she was still a human. It was a very long time ago... There was a man, his daughter, and a Pokémon who all loved each other very much. A war began... the man and daughter's Pokémon took part in the war. Years had passed and the daughter, my mom, was at home, cleaning around while the man was out working. The war continued, and it spread to the family's home, crushing mom to death. At the same time, the man received a tiny box... He lost both of them.

The man wanted to bring them back no matter what... He didn't care what it took. He build a machine to give them life. He brought his beloved daughter and Pokémon back. The man had suffered too much. This rage still had no subsided. He could not forgive the world that hurt his family he loved. He turned the machine to the Ulimate Weapon.

The man became a bringer off destruction that ended the war. His family, the Pokémon and his daughter that was given life must have known... that the lives of many Pokémon were taken to restore their life. The resurrected Pokémon and the disappointed daughter left the man. With the daughter turning her back on him, she wandered the land to help people in need and lived long enough to find the power to give healing magic and help those who needed her the most. She was later found by the Elite Four, forced to make a nation, and fell in love with a human who helped her make me...

"Yannie!" Xavier shouted loudly, holding me in his arms "Close your eyes and sleep it off! This isn't worth the pain! You don't have to remember!" He shouted. I shook my head, knowing I had to get pass this in order to help everyone!

My instincts ran gears. I looked at every corner, staring at Lysandre and the tall man staring at me while Xavier was shaking bad, holding my screaming body tightly to help me become stable and forget the pain. I need this pain... I need everything that can help me keep going toward. So without thinking, I bit my pinky and ripped it off the tissue, letting blood splash everywhere. I came back to my senses, and the only pain I felt was in my hand.

"Y-Yannie..." Xavier cupped his mouth, shocked at what I did. I hissed and looked at the tall man widening his eyes at my eyes slowly burning off my contacts.

"You caused this... You made this world the way it is because you couldn't let go!" My eyes teared up fast "Your rage... is this what you wanted!? My mother had to suffer because you couldn't let go!" I got dizzy from my blood lost.

"You..." the man bit his lips "Get the key back.." I flinched "It should not be used... everything will vanish again" he pointed at Lysandre crossing his arms "You seem to understand the unending pain... that I have"

"This is AZ" Lysandre closed his eyes "He has the same name as a king that lived 3,000 years ago, but seeing that he's a vampire, I believe he lived that long. It surprises me how I'm related to a vampire-"

"We are not related!" I hissed, baring my fangs "Don't you dare make me seem like we're related. Even if AZ is the king from that long ago, he became a vampire. He is my grandfather" I shakily picked up my pinky off the floor and attached it back to my hand, waiting for it to heal on its own "You and I, Lysandre... even if I hate the man myself, I could never be related to a monster like you" Lysandre stared at me before snorting.

"Your grandfather had the key to the Ulimate weapon hung around his neck" I froze.

"W-What..?" He smirked.

"It's finally time. Follow me to my chambers when you have the chance" he looked at me surrounded by my own blood and walked away back to the elevator. I glared at my pinky slowly attaching back to my body and snapped my head at AZ watching me with a long face.

"You dare to look at me like that after what you did?" I jumped at his cell, only for me to get pulled back by Xavier.

"The bars are bolting with electricity! Look!" The bars were glowing. If I touched that, I could had blacked out again.

"Why did you have the key around your neck?! Why didn't you destroy it if you claim that you had unending pain!? Are you stupid?! Look at what you've caused!" I shook my fist, unable to control my emotions "Mom suffered so much... because of you" I closed my eyes "thought she wouldn't be alive if you didn't do what you did... but you created the Ulimate weapon. You don't deserve to see my tears. I will carry my mother's anger and I will be the one to save her. Stay here and rot for all I care" I quickly walked away from him.

"Yannie, hold on" Xavier hurried after me "you said that man is your grandfather. Does that mean he's..?" I stopped walking and sighed.

"He's the very first vampire to exist, next to my mom. He was the king, but in our eyes, he was the reason why humanity perished. I hate to say that if he didn't do what he did, I wouldn't be born, but even my mom hates what this world has become. She worked hard to restore order and make things peaceful. The war had ended, but we're fighting in one now. I will bring back peace" he took my good hand and held it to his cheek.

"I understand that much, but what are you feeling?" He gently picked up my hand with the dangling pinky finger "Will it heal alright?"

"I lost a lot of blood from breaking the bond. Don't ask how I did it, but it just felt right. It'll take awhile for it to fully heal. And no, I won't take more of your blood" I smiled "I can handle it from here" he kept my good hand close and started walking "Xavier?"

"I'll keep my promise until the end, Yannie. I won't let you go, even after you try to do something stupid" I smiled and followed him to the elevator, where we had access to a lower floor and arrived down in the matter of seconds. We were faced with Lysandre speaking with a man in a mask standing in front of a large black screen in what looked like a control room.

"So the Pokéballs we received and the Pokémon we've gathered are where they need to be" the man said. They gathered Pokémon too? "Add it all up, and it means all preparations are complete!" Lysandre nodded.

"The only thing left to do is put the plan in motion. I'm counting on you"

"Hold it right there!" I yelled, then sweat dropped "I sounded like Sina just now..." The two looked at me.

"There you are" Lysandre lifted his hands to present two buttons beside him on two separate machines "One push of the buttons, and we can activate the Ulimate weapon from this room" I flinched and took a step back.

"You're insane... You're really going along with this?" I asked.

"You're nuts!" Xavier glared. Lysandre walked pass us.

"I believe being a chosen one means you have the potential to change the future" I bit my lips, glaring "whether we activate the Ulimate weapon or leave it safely underground will rest upon if you actually have this potential to do so"

"Hey, get back here!" Xavier chased after him.

"X!" I frowned.

"Don't worry, I'll be right behind you!" I slowly nodded and turned to the human man in the red suit watching me, slowly starting to laugh. I guess I'm on my own on this one...

"Oh ho ho!" The man laughed "you're the one I've heard so much about! I've been waiting for you!"

"You were..?"

"Hm? What's wrong with your finger there?" He looked at my hand covered in my blood. I used my shirt to apply pressure to let the blood stop leaking "need some help there?"

"No thanks" I huffed. He giggled and rubbed his hands together like a weirdo.

"Come, come! I need to do a little research on you!" He offered his hand. I refused to take it "Don't be scared now! From the look in your eyes, you have to be a vampire! But it's strange... They're not red! Please give me the honor to experiment on you!" I hissed and took a defense in where I stood "You look so human, yet you're a monster"

"The only monster here is who ever agrees with this plan! Many grunts I've met are all vampires who were hypnotized by that fucking Holy hypnotist! If he's brainwashing you as well, let me rub off the plan luring in your brain!"

"So confident... yet very beautiful" he shrugged "I'm in no way hypnotized. The only ones who were done so were to the vampires. The humans working under us are here from their own free will. They paid their way for a new tomorrow" I-I can't believe that! How can anyone think this is a good idea!? They know nothing! "I'll tell you something interesting..." the man smirked "Will you listen?"
