John and Scorbunny was walking through the forest to find a new partner for Scorbunny to battle against before going to Turffield Gym. 

John said, "This is going to be a tough battle, are you sure you are ready for the upcoming Gym Battle, Scorbunny?"

"Scorbunny!" He said, as that John giggles at the fire type Pokemon. "You really are one of a kind, you know that. " 

Suddenly, a voice yelled, "Incoming!" 

John looked at his direction, as that he was in total confusion, as then, a Chikorita runs and tops him over. 

"Oof!" He said, as its trainer came in, panting, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for Chikorita to do that." 

John said, getting up, "It's all right, I mean, it was just an pure accident. Anything like that would happen. " 

The boy rubs his head, "But I am truly am sorry. I'm Taiko. " 

"John. I'm a brand new trainer, and this is Scorbunny, my partner." 

"You're a brand new trainer?!? I thought you were already one, with a fire type like Scorbunny." 

"Well, I've been bedridden for a long time, and now I'm free from the hospital, I can finally be a trainer for real and challenge the Champion." 

"You mean challenge Ash Ketchum? Dude, he's unbeatable! He's a Pokemon Champion for a reason. " Taiko said in shock of hearing John want to challenge him.

"C'mon, are you a little bit curious of how strong he really is? I'm going to challenge him since he was 10 years old when he began his Journey as a Pokemon Trainer. " John said. 

Taiko said, "Fair point, but still taking on Ash, you're really inspired by him, aren't you? Is that why you wanted to become a Trainer?"

"Well, kinda . Was it too weird?" John asked. 

"Not at all. So, how about this? We'll go together, and improve our battle tactics. " 

"You mean, you want to travel with me? Are you sure about this, getting all eight badges isn't going to be easy." John asked. 

Taiko said, "Awe, com'on, where is your sense of adventure? It'll be a blast. Traveling with friends will be great. " 

John thought about this, as though, traveling by himself may be lonesome, and it wouldn't be a bother of having a friend travel along. 

Also, John has a rival that he needs to surpass on. Hop. 

"All right. I guess we're stuck together then." John said. 

"Awesome, you wouldn't regret this, John. " Taiko said, as both trainers went on their way to their destination ahead. 

At a Pokemon Center, a battle was taking place. A black-haired trainer was sweating, as if the battle was intense and full of fun. 

He was gazing at his faithful and trusted partner, who seems to be eager to wait his master's command. 

"Go, Pikachu. Use Volt Tackle." He said calmly as the mouse Pokemon goes into the battlefield, as fast the opponent can see, as that the opponent has no time to react, no time for him to call out a command. 

His Pokemon was utterly defeated, as the mouse Pokemon smiles at its accomplishment, as if it does its work as planned. 

"Good work, bud." The Trainer said, as the mouse Pokemon runs up to his trainer's shoulder, as the opponent shrugs. 

"Man, I can't believe that I got beaten by the Champion. I guess that I have a lot to get practice for my battling style . " He said, moaning of the loss. 

"Awe, don't doubt yourself. You're doing great, I would love for you to challenge me again sometime. " 

He waves as a beeper of his Pokegear came up. "Well, look at that." 

"Attention all Trainers, it's time for the World  Pokemon Coronation Series, and you would be a chance to battle the Champion, Ash Ketchum! 

Do you have the guts to participate and beat the World's toughest Trainer? You must have 8 badges to participate in this event! 

Good luck!" 

Ash chuckled at the sudden announcement as Pikachu looked at his trainer with curious expression on his face. 

"Pika Pi?" Pikachu asked, as the trainer pats his trustful partner's head. 

"I'm just excited, buddy. The Pokemon World Coronation Series. I can't wait to see what type of Trainers we'll be up against. " He said. 

He walked away, as that he awaits of who will challenge him.
