Alexander is a bit of a bizarre case. He gets moved around a lot, in the sense that his family keeps making him live with different members, typically consisting of him being sent to his grandparents and vice versa. He describes this as an, "Ethically questionable game of hot potato." As a result of this, he's never really bonded with anybody, and being made to live multiple different ways has impacted his personality. Instead of doing things how he wants to do them, he ends up shaping his thoughts and actions to how he thinks the people around him want him to be. When around people he doesn't know, he just ends up being quiet and antisocial, since he has little to no idea what people would want of him. There are people that he can be himself around, like some of his old friends, but they've all gone down different roads in life and don't really have time to talk to him again. As of now, the only ones who really know him are his Pokemon.
