Before Gym Battle

Ash & his Pokémon Pikachu, Taillow, Grovyle, Torkoal, & Corphish were panting in exhaustion as they had finished battling some obnoxious kids who are trying to stop him from going to the Petalburg City Gym to battle Norman

"Geez, what's up with these kids? I get that they're fans of Norman, but why are they trying to stop me from having a Gym Battle with him?" Ash thought before saying to his Pokémon "C'mon you guys, let's get you to the Pokémon Center."

"Not so fast." The first kid said as he & the other kids sent out a Duskull, an Illumise, a Nosepass, a Cacnea, a Lombre, a Nincada, a Makuhita, a Skitty, a Natu, a Zubat, Sandshrew, Girafarig, & a Corsola

As those Pokémon were sent out, they noticed that Ash's Pokémon were panting in exhaustion. The Pokémon were confused as they were wondering why were they battling against tired Pokémon

"You're not going anywhere." The first kid glared

"Yeah, we're not done with you." The second kid agreed

"Guys, stop, this has gone far enough." Ash said

"No, we're doing whatever it takes to stop you from challenging the Gym Leader Norman." The first kid refused

"Yeah!" The other kids agreed

The kids' Pokémon became shocked when their trainers said that, that's why they're battling against this Trainer? Just because he wanted a Gym Battle? Even the other Pokémon Ash defeated were shocked as they didn't know why their Trainers were battling him.

"Listen, my Pokémon are very tired, so just let me take them to Pokémon Center & after I'm done with battling Norman, I'll leave & you won't have to see me ever again." Ash said

"Yeah right, as far as we know, you're gonna sneak back in here for a rematch if you lose against Norman." The third kid said

"N-no, that's not true." Ash said nervously "Dang it, that was exactly what I was planning to do if I did lose against Norman, geez these kids are too smart."

"Ash, this is pointless, let's just leave." Brock said

"Hey, didn't you hear what we said? You're not leaving." The fourth kid glared

"Well, I say we are." Ash said sternly

"What are you? A coward?" The fifth kid taunted

"Coward? For what? For thinking of my Pokémon? For not letting them continue to battle just because they're exhausted? If anyone's a coward, it's you guys, you're the ones who sent out more Pokémon in a one on one battle after you lost & that's exactly what cowards do." Ash said "Here I am wanting to have a Gym Battle with Norman & you guys are making a big deal out of it & trying to stop me from challenging the gym like a bunch of moronic idiots & I find it stupid & pathetic."

"What did you call us!?" The sixth kid said angrily

"That does it, you'll pay for saying that." The first kid threatened

"This is getting out of hand, Ash, your Pokémon are all tired & they're not gonna let us leave until you continue to battle them. What are we gonna do?" Brock said

"Come on, Ash, think." Ash thought hard

"Rargh!" A voice roared

Everyone looked & saw a Charizard flying towards them

"It's your Charizard." Brock said as Charizard landed in front of Ash

"Charizard." Ash said surprisingly

"Rargh." Charizard smiled

"Charmander." A yellow Charmander appeared from behind Charizard

"It's a Shiny Charmander." Brock said shockingly

Just then a Gastly, Haunter, & Gengar appeared

"It's my Haunter & the 2 other Ghost Pokémon I met in the Pokémon Tower." Ash said

"Pidgeo!/Fear!/Free!" A few voices said as they looked up

"Pidgeot & Butterfree" Ash said as Pidgeot, Fearow, Butterfree, & his mate were above them

"& the Pink Butterfree & the Fearow from Viridian Forest" Brock said

"La!/Lar!/Prime!/Tar!/Squirt!/Lee!/Chan!" Several voices said as Ash & Brock looked behind.

"Lapras, Primeape, Larvitar, Squirtle!" Ash said

"& a Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, & Larvitar & Lapras' mothers." Brock said

"What are you all doing here?" Ash asked

"Squirtle Squirt." Squirtle said

"You guys came here to help me out?" Ash said as the Pokémon nodded "Then let's do this."

"Hey guys, let's catch these Pokémon ." The seventh kid said

"I call dibs on that Shiny Charmander." The first kid said as he & the others each pulled out a Poké Ball

"Rargh!/Char!" Charizard & Charmander said as they fired Flamethrower at the kids

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" the kids screamed as they were on fire.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle said as he blasted & doused them with Water Gun

"Freeeee!" Butterfree & his mate said as they paralyzed the kids with Stun Spore

"Geng!/Gas!/Haunt!" Gastly, Haunter, & Gengar said as they used Hypnosis to put the kids to sleep before using Nightmare on them

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The kids screamed in their sleep

"Laaaaaaaar!" Larvitar screeched with Screech

"Our ears!" The kids exclaimed as they covered their ears

"Laaaa!" Lapras & her mother said as they froze the kids in a block of ice with Ice Beam

"C-c-c-c-c-c-cold!" The kids shivered

"Prime!/Chan!/Lee!/Tar!/Pidgeo!/Fear!" The rest of the Pokémon said as they started punching, kicking, & pecking the kids in a cloud of dust

"Alright, you guys, that's enough." Ash said as they stopped leaving the kids with bumps & bruises.

Just then, May, Max, & the fans arrived at the scene

"What's going on?" Max said

"This guy attacked us with his Pokémon." The first kid said

"I attacked you with my Pokémon? You're the ones who tried to catch them first, they were just defending themselves." Ash said

"Not only that, but he wants to battle Norman & we told him not to, but he refuses to listen." The second kid said

"Is that so? May, I believe you should battle this brat to teach him a lesson." Rose suggested

"What!?" May said shockingly

"Yeah, show this punk who's boss!" A man said

"Make him cry in shame & defeat!" A woman said

"May, you don't have to do this." Max said

"I know, but I don't think I have a choice." May said as she approached Ash

When Ash & May went into battle position

"Hey Brock, are those Ash's other Pokémon?" Max asked

"Yep, all except the Pink Butterfree, Tyranitar, Gastly, Gengar, Fearow, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, light blue Lapras & Shiny Charmander." Brock said

"Go Torchic!" May said as she sent out her Torchic

"Torchic." Torchic chirped

"In that case, Squirtle, I choose you!" Ash said

"Squirtle." Squirtle said as he stepped forward

"Torchic, use Ember." May said

"Torchic!" Torchic said as he fired multiple balls of fire from his beak

"Dodge it." Ash said

"Squirt." Squirtle said as he ducked his head into his shell & avoided the attack, but the Ember was heading towards Ash

"Look out!" Brock shouted

"Rargh!" Charizard said as he stepped in front of Ash, opened his mouth & swallowed the Ember before puffing out smoke like it was nothing.

"Thanks Charizard." Ash said

"Wow, I knew Ash's Charizard was strong, but I didn't know he was THAT strong." Max said shockingly

"Now it's our turn, Squirtle, use Hydro Pump." Ash said

"SQUIRTLE!" Squirtle said as he fired a powerful blast of water from his mouth & hit Torchic which caused him to faint

"Torchic!" May gasped

"May lost & the brat won?" Another man said shockingly

"How could that kid win?" Another woman said incredulously

"Whoa, Squirtle just took Torchic out in one blow." Max said shockingly

"That's because Squirtle has been Ash's Pokémon way longer than May has been with Torchic." Brock said

"Great job, Squirtle." Ash said

"Squirt." Squirtle said as he high-fived Ash

"Your Squirtle is something else, Ash." May said as she approached Ash while carrying her Torchic "I'm very sorry about all this."

"That's fine, I hope this whole mess is over with." Ash said

"YOU LITTLE PUNK!" a voice shouted

The gang looked & saw that the fans had very angry glares

"Oh no, things just got worse." Ash thought

"You cheated!" A man shouted angrily

"Now you're definitely gonna pay!" The first kid yelled

"What's your deal, I only came here to get a Gym Battle with Norman." Ash said

"Well, you can forget it kid, Norman's gym is for special trainers only & Norman won't waste time with a worthless nobody like you!" A teenage girl said

"For your information, I've defeated the 8 of the Kanto Gym Leaders, 8 of the Johto Gym Leaders, & 4 of the Hoenn Gym Leaders." Ash said defensively

"Oh please, those Gym Leaders are nothing but pathetic lightweight amateurs, the same goes for the rest of the Regional Gym Leaders, Norman's the best of them all." Rose said

"Hey, the Gym Leaders I've fought & will fight are just as strong & skillful as Norman." Ash said

"That's right, & what about the Elite Fours & Champions?" Brock said

"None of them deserve the titles, as a matter of fact Norman should be Champion of the whole Pokémon World!" Yaohei said

"Yeah!" The fans agreed

"You'll be punished for defeating Norman's daughter, now hand over your Pokémon & your Badges to May & Max at once!" Dee Dunstan said as the gang became shocked

"No, absolutely not!" Ash refused

"You better do as we say, if you know what's good for you." A man said

"Are you threatening me?" Ash said

"Everyone, knock it off, it doesn't have to be this way." Brock said

"You stay out of this while we punish the brat." Rose said "Now, get him!"

The fans started charging towards Ash until

"STOP!" A voice shouted

Suddenly the fans stopped as they became outlined in light blue & started levitating in the air.

"What's that?" Max said

"It's Psychic, but where's it coming from?" Brock said

"Busken!/Mud!" A couple of voice called out

The gang looked & saw a Slowking, a Combusken, & a Mudkip

"You will not harm Ash Ketchum." Slowking said as he threw the fans back with Psychic

"Slowking? From Shamouti Island? Is that you?" Ash said

"Yes Ash, it is I." Slowking said as he turned to Combusken & Mudkip "I'm sure you remember these two, do you not?"

"Yeah, that's the Combusken from Slateport City." Ash said

"Combusken." Combusken smiled

Just then Brock's Mudkip came out of his Poké Ball & went toward the other Mudkip

"Mudkip Mudkip." Brock's Mudkip said

"Mudkip." The other Mudkip said

"Brock, your Mudkip seems familiar with that Mudkip." May said

"I know, that's one of the Mudkip from Mr. Swampy's." Brock said

"What are you three doing here?" Ash asked

"We'll explain later." Slowking said before glaring at the fans "First, we have to deal with these ruffians."

"How dare you interfere!" A woman said as the fans started charging again

Suddenly a tail made of iron slammed in between the gang & the fans while making the fans fall back. Everyone looked & saw a Steelix, a Skarmory, a Magnemite, & a Magneton.

"It's the Pokémon from the Valley of Steel." Max said

"Torkoal?" Torkoal said surprisingly

"Steel." Steelix winked

"You big brute!" Yaohei shouted

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The fans screamed as they were suddenly zapped by yellow electricity

"That was Thunder Shock." Ash said

"Pi!/Ele!" A few voices said

The gang looked & saw 2 Pichu & an Elekid.

"Pika." Pikachu said surprisingly as they approached them "Pika Pika."

"Pichu." The first Pichu said

"Pi." The second Pichu said

"Ele." Elekid said

"Pikachu, you know these Pokémon?" Ash asked

"Pikachu." Pikachu nodded

"We swear to you boy, these Pokémon won't save you from your punishment, you're dead meat!" Another man said

Just then, dark clouds started to form in the sky as lightning strikes & skulls came down out of the clouds as they flew around the fans

"What's happening!" Another woman screamed fearfully

"Who dares threaten Ash Ketchum." A voice said

The skulls formed into a terrifying face made out of shadows

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The face cackled maniacally

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!" The fans screamed in fright

The face turned into swirling shadowy wind & disappeared revealing a Gastly as the dark clouds turned back to normal

"It's Gastly from Maiden's Peak." Ash said

"Hello again, Ash." Gastly smiled

"You're here too?" Ash said

"Yes, & we're not alone." Gastly said "Shall we call them, Slowking?"

"Yes, it is time." Slowking nodded

"Come Everyone!" Both called out

"Pichu!/Combusken!/Mud!/Steel!/Skar!/Mag!" The Pokémon called out

Just then an Azumarill, an Azurill, a Magby, a Smoochum, a Hitmontop, a Wooper, a Teddiursa, a Smeargle, a Jigglypuff, a Blastoise, a Venusaur, a Grimer, another Magnemite, a Scyther, a Loudred, a Slowpoke, 2 Houndour, a Sableye, 2 Clefairy, an Omanyte, an Omastar, a Kabuto, a Kabutops, an Aerodactyl, an Arbok, 2 Ekans, an Victreebel, 2 Bellsprout, a Weezing, 2 Koffing, a Sneasel, a Scizor, a Nuzleaf, an Absol, a Flygon, 3 Pidgey, 3 Oddish, 3 Rattata, 3 Murkrow, & a Wynaut came out from hiding & went to Ash's aide. Everyone was shocked & surprised by all the Pokémon that came to Ash's side.

"Ash, all these Pokémon are the ones you've met during your adventures & they came all this way for you." Slowking said

"Whoa, look at them all!" The second trainer beamed

"Let's catch them before that jerk does." The sixth trainer said

"I'm getting that Victreebel, Go Poké Ball!" The fourth trainer said as he threw a Poké Ball at Victreebel

"Bel!" Victreebel said as it cut the Poké Ball in half with Leaf Blade before pouncing & chomping on the trainer's head

"Wait a minute, I recognize that Victreebel, that's James' Victreebel." Ash said

"You're right, & that's Jessie's Arbok & James' Weezing." Brock said

"Hey, get this thing off of me!" The fourth trainer exclaimed

"Hang on, I got it, go Poké Ball!" The fifth trainer said as he threw a Poké Ball at Victreebel

"Bel!" Victreebel said as it jump off of the fourth trainer

"Ow!" The fourth trainer said as he got hit by the Poké Ball.

The other kids tried to catch the other Pokémon only for the Poké Balls to get slashed in half, crushed by Psychic, & knocked back hitting a few of the kids in the face

"Grrr, May, you should catch those Pokémon like that Charizard." The first kid said frustratingly

"What? No, didn't you hear what Ash said, Charizard is his Pokémon." May said

"At least Charizard would be better for replacing that weak Torchic of yours!" The second kid argued

The gang & Pokémon gasped at that

"How dare you insult my Torchic like that!" May exclaimed

"Torchic." Torchic said tearfully

"COMBUSKEN!" Combusken said as he used Sky Uppercut on the second kid, sending him flying into the air.

"That's what you get!" Max said angrily as the second kid fell on the ground

"Yeah, Combusken didn't appreciate you insulting its kind." Brock glared

"Alright, we're giving you one last chance to give in to our demands." The first kid said

"& I told you no." Ash said

"Fine, then we'll finish what we started with your Hoenn Pokémon." The first kid said

"Yeah, attack now." The kids said

The kids Pokémon were very hesitant & they didn't know what to do, they couldn't believe their own trainers would consider hurting another trainer's exhausted Pokémon just because he wanted a Gym Battle

"NOW!" The kids shouted

The kids' shouting startled the Pokémon causing them to fire their attacks at Grovyle, Torkoal, Taillow, & Corphish

"No!" Ash exclaimed as he stepped in front of his Hoenn Pokémon

"Ash!" Brock, May, & Max gasped

BOOM!

An explosionoccurred

"Is he?" May said in horror

"Alright, we got him." The first trainer smirked as the fans cheered

But when the smoke cleared, Ash & his Hoenn Pokémon were surrounded in a blue force field & his eyes were glowing blue

"What!?" The fans exclaimed shockingly

"Ash has powers?!" Max gasped

"Whoa, what is this?" Ash said as the force field disappeared

"So what if he has powers, we can still take him on." The first kid scoffed "Duskull, use Shadow Ball on him."

"Dusk!?" Duskull gasped in shock as it looked at its trainer

"We'll, what are you waiting for?" The first kid scoffed

"Duskull." Duskull looked at Ash in worry & reluctance

"I SAID SHADOW BALL!" The first kid yelled impatiently

"Duskull!" Duskull exclaimed in fright as he accidentally fired Shadow Ball at Ash

Ash glared as he held out his hand & caught the Shadow Ball

"What the!" The first kid gasped shockingly

Then Ash threw the Shadow Ball at the first kid which hit him & knocked him into a tree.

"Ugh." The first kid groaned as he looked at Ash as he was giving the kid a menacing glare which sent a shiver up his spine "What are you?"

"You wanna know what I am, right now I'm a very angry Pokémon Trainer, I have had it up to here with you crazy morons. Attacking me is one thing, but attacking my Pokémon when they're too exhausted to battle, that is going too far!" Ash said angrily

"Ash, do we have permission to attack?" Slowking asked

"Yes, but don't attack the kids' Pokémon, half of them are tired & unable to battle while the other half didn't want to attack but were forced to." Ash said which surprised the kids' Pokémon

"Understood" Slowking said "ATTACK!"

The Pokémon attacked the fans in a cloud of dust

"Enough!" A voice shouted

The Pokémon stopped leaving the fans beaten with bruises, burns, bumps, bite marks, etc. Everyone looked & saw Norman & Caroline.

"Norman, look at what that brat did to us." Yaohei said

"No, Dad, don't listen to them." Max said

"Then what in the world is going on here?" Norman said

After Ash, May, & Max explained what happened, Norman & Caroline were shocked & angry.

"Is this true?" Norman asked his fans

"No, that brat is lying to you, Norman." Rose said

"Oh, so if Ash is lying, then that means May & Max are lying as well? Are you calling my kids liars?" Norman glared

"Yes, I mean no, I mean—." Rose stammered

"Then Ash was telling the truth." Coraline said "Also, why would you kids do such a thing, is this how you treat my husband's challengers?"

"N-no, we were only trying to—." The first kid said nervously

"Trying to what? Trying to physically hurt his Pokémon so bad that they end up in the ER? Trying to have Ash end up in a hospital so he won't try to challenge Norman again? What you all did was just unacceptable." Caroline scowled

"She's right, also how dare you insult my daughter's Torchic." Norman said

"I didn't mean to call her Torchic weak, I was just mad that she lost to his Squirtle." The second said uneasily

"For your information, Squirtle is a Water Type & Torchic is a Fire Type, Water beats Fire. So of course Torchic was gonna lose the battle, what did you all expect?" Norman said

"Squirtle has been Ash's Pokémon far longer than I've been with Torchic." May said "I'm also very upset with how you all treated my friends, if I didn't know better I think the reason why you were trying to stop Ash from challenging Dad is because you're jealous."

"Jealous? Of him?" The first kid said

"Yeah, you're just jealous that we're friends with Ash & traveling with him." Max said

"Now I want all of you to listen, whether you like or not, Ash will be battling me at my Gym because it is MY Gym & I'm the Gym Leader, So I'm the one who decides who can or can't battle me, not you, me." Norman said "Also, you are never EVER gonna stop anymore Pokémon Trainers from challenging my Gym ever again, IS! THAT! CLEAR!?"

The fans were frightened as they had never seen Norman angry before, so they had no choice but to agree.

"Good, now all of you go home." Norman said

As the fans leave, the kids returned their Pokémon & left, but the first kid glared at Ash

"Mark my words, this is far from over." The first kid warned

"Oh give it a rest, you nutcase." Ash said as the kid growled & left

"Ash, are you alright?" Norman asked in concern

"Yeah, I'm fine & so are my Pokémon." Ash said "I need to get them to the Pokémon Center."

"No need, I can heal them for you." Caroline said

"Thanks Caroline." Ash said

"Okay, let's go home." Norman said

After the gang left with Norman & Caroline, unbeknownst to them, Team Rocket had seen the whole incident & were shocked

"Wow, did you see all that?" Meowth said

"Yeah, Norman's fans were absolutely crazy." James said

"I agree, I mean the twerp may be our enemy, but he didn't deserve that." Jessie said

"No, he didn't." James said

"Also, did you see the force field when the twerp protected his Pokémon?" Meowth said

"Yes, & he caught that Shadow Ball with one hand & his eyes were glowing blue, the twerp is supernatural." James said

"Not only that, the twerp's other Pokémon including the ones he met through Kanto, Johto, & Hoenn came to help him." Meowth said

"I never thought I would see my Victreebel & Weezing again." James smiled tearfully along with Jessie

"Arbok too, & they came all the way to redeem themselves to the twerp." Jessie said

"We're so proud of them!" Both cried as they hugged each other

"Hey, you wanna know something?" Meowth said

"What?" Jessie & James said

"Wobbuffet & I got that recorded." Meowth said

"Wobbuffet." Wobbuffet said as he was holding a camera

"You did? What do we do with it?" James said

"Think of what would happen if we showed this to the news." Meowth winked

"Ah, I get what you're thinking, Meowth." Jessie said

"Wait, wouldn't that ruin Norman's reputation." James asked

"Well, luckily the part where Norman told his fans off was recorded along with the rest of the incident, so his reputation will still be good." Meowth said

"Come on, guys, let's go." Jessie said

"Right." James nodded

"Oh boy, this is gonna be good." Meowth said excitedly

As Team Rocket left, they weren't the only ones who saw the incident, several Pokémon including some from other regions had seen the incident & they were amazed & moved by Ash's kindness.

Later, Caroline had finished up healing Ash's Hoenn Pokémon as the gang & Norman were in the greenhouse

"There we are, your Pokémon are as good as new." Caroline smiled

"Thank you." Ash said

"Ash, I'm very sorry about that." Norman apologized

"It's okay, Norman, I don't blame you." Ash said

"So, all of these are your Pokémon?" Norman said

"Some of them are, but the rest of them are Pokémon I met from Kanto, Johto, & Hoenn so far." Ash said

"Oh, well, why don't you introduce them to us." Ash said

"Okay, but there are some I'm not familiar with." Ash said

"Rargh Rargh." Charizard said

"Charizard said the Shiny Charmander is an offspring he had with Charla." Slowking translated

"Oh my gosh, Ash, your Charizard's a daddy." Caroline said

"Congratulations Charizard." Ash smiled

"Rargh." Charizard smiled

"Hi Charmander, it's nice to meet you, I'm your father's trainer." Ash said

"Char!" Charmander said as he shot Flamethrower at Ash's face

"Like father, like son." Brock laughed

"Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Ash sweatdropped as he wiped the suit off his face

"Primeape Prime." Primeape said

"Primeape says Hitmonlee & Hitmonchan are his apprentices." Slowking said

"Hi Hitmonlee & Hitmonchan, I'm Ash, your teacher's trainer." Ash said

"Chan/Lee." Both Pokémon nodded

"Torkoal." Torkoal said gratefully as he approached the Pokémon from the Valley of Steel.

"Steel." Steelix nodded

"I guess Torkoal gained their respect after defeating Steelix." Brock said

"Hey Norman, you remember Arbok & Weezing right?" Ash asked

"Oh yeah, their Team Rocket's Pokémon." Norman said

"Arbok, Weezing, I haven't seen you since Jessie & James tried to catch those Zigzagoon." Ash said

"Yeah, & we haven't seen you since Johto, Victreebel." Brock said "What happened?"

"Chabok." Arbok said

"They were released." Slowking said

"Released? But you were so close to Jessie & James, why would they let you go?" Ash said

"Weezing Weezing." Weezing said

"Jessie & James released them so they could help the Ekans & Koffing horde escape from the Pokémon poacher." Slowking said

"Oh, what about you Victreebel?" Ash said

"Bel Bel Bel." Victreebel said

"James reluctantly traded Victreebel away & her new trainer abandoned her." Slowking said

"So, did you guys come all the way to find Jessie & James?" Ash said as they nodded. "Look, I don't know where they are, so it will be hard for us to help you find them."

"You won't need to." A voice said

Everyone looked & saw Jessie, James, & Meowth

"Bel!/Weez!/Cha!" Their Pokémon said happily

"Arbok." Jessie said as she hugged Arbok

"Weezing, Victreebel." James said as he hugged "I thought I would never see you two again."

"Did you manage to escape from the poacher?" Jessie asked

"Cha." Arbok nodded

"Thank goodness." Jessie said in relief

"We're glad that you two have reunited with your old Pokémon." Brock smiled

"Speaking of old Pokémon, what happened to Jessie's Lickitung?" Ash asked

"I accidentally traded it away for Wobbuffet." Jessie sweatdropped

"Wait, Wobbuffet, was your former trainer named Benny?" Brock asked

"Wobbu." Wobbuffet nodded

"Who's Benny?" May asked

"Benny is a friend we met in Johto, we were helping him trade Wobbuffet to someone for a new Pokémon." Ash said

"Gee, I don't know now who to feel sorry for; Jessie or Wobbuffet." Max muttered

"Hey, I heard that." Jessie said with a tick mark

Ash continued with the introductions: the Jigglypuff was the one the gang kept meeting & singing people to sleep during Ash's journey, the Blastoise was from the island where the Squirtle & Wartortle live, the Venusaur was from the Mysterious Garden, the Grimer was from the Grimer Horde Ash's Muk used to lead in Gringey City, the other Magnemite was also the one he met in Gringey, the Scyther was from the Scyther Horde Tracey's Scyther used to lead, the Loudred was the one the gang met in Granite Cave, the Slowpoke was the one of the Slowpoke Ash, Misty, Brock, & Kurt rescued from Team Rocket, the Houndour with a scar on its face was the one Ash met in Johto, the Sableye was the same one Meowth met in an abandoned mine, one Clefairy was the one Ash met in Mt. Moon while the other was the Cleffa he helped in Johto, the Kanto Fossil Pokémon were the ones he met in Grampa Canyon, the Sneasel & Scizor were actually the Iron Mask Marauders former Pokémon, the Nuzleaf was from the Nuzleaf horde that used to cause trouble before they were saved by the gang, the Absol & Flygon were the one the gang met in Forina, 3 Murkrow were the same ones that stole Ash's Gym Badges, & the 3 Pidgey, 3 Oddish, & 3 Rattata were the same ones that Ash & Pikachu when they were on their way to Hoenn.

"That's everyone I know." Ash said

"But what about the rest?" Caroline asked

"Sorry, but Pikachu is the only one who knows them, I never got a chance to meet them at the time." Ash said

"Pika Pika Pikachu." Pikachu explained

"Pikachu says the Pichu & Elekid are the ones he met when they were separated from Ash & the other Houndour, Magby, Smoochum, Hitmontop, Azurill, Azumarill, Smeargle, Wooper, & Teddiursa are the Pichus' Posse." Slowking said

"Well, it's nice to finally meet you all." Ash said

"Wynaut Wynaut." Wynaut said

"Wynaut said that it was the one that helped Bayleef & Noctowl retrieve your Johto Badges." Meowth said

"Oh, so you're the one who found them, thank you so much." Ash said as he petted Wynaut

"I believe Ekans & Koffings are from the horde we helped escape from that Poacher." James said

"& Bellsprout?" Brock asked

"Victreebel said that the Bellsprout are her offspring." Meowth translated

"Wow, guess Charizard's not the only one who became a parent." Brock said

"Really?" Ash said as he looked at Jessie & James "& you two are okay with that?"

"We are, as a matter of fact, our Pokémon inspired us to become good & live our own lives, so we've now decided to quit Team Rocket." Jessie said

"Mm-hm, we don't think we're fit for the job, we can't even catch or steal one Pokémon for the boss." James said

"I agree with that." Max said

"Me too." May said "But what will you guys do, now that you're done with Team Rocket?"

"I've decided to become a Pokémon Coordinator & aim to be a Top Coordinator." Jessie said

"& I'm gonna start competing in Gym Battles & Leagues." James said

"That's great, I hope you can keep up with me & May." Ash said

"Sprout." The first Bellsprout said as it latched on a part of Ash's head

"Hehe, it takes after its mother." James chuckled

"Bel!" Victreebel said as she chomped on James' head

"Welcome to the club." James muffled as he & Ash shook hands

"I believe Ekans, Koffing, & Bellsprout aren't the only ones that'll be joining you." Slowking said

"You mean all of you wanna be my Pokémon too?" Ash asked surprisingly

"Exactly, that's why all of us came all the way here to find you." Slowking said "Will allow us to join your team & become your Pokémon?"

"Are you kidding, of course you can." Ash said joyfully

"Excellent." Slowking smiled

"Hey Norman, can I ask you a question?" Ash said as he took Bellsprout off his head.

"Sure, ask away." Norman said

"Has that incident ever happened before?" Ash asked

"No, that's never happened, at least I don't think it has." Norman said

"Come on, Norman, didn't you see any signs or something." Ash said

"...Now that you mentioned it, I think I have seen some signs." Norman said

"Oh yeah, like what?" Brock said

"Well, I was beginning to notice that some of the trainers visiting here have...softened up." Norman said

"Softened up?" May repeated

"During my battles with the trainers, they looked like they were holding back & weren't even trying, it was like they wanted to lose to me." Norman said much to everyone's surprise

"You mean they were losing on purpose?" Max said

"Yes, a few of them seemed like they were afraid or uneasy or discouraged." Norman said "A couple of months ago, I had a challenger who came to my Gym, when she challenged me to a Gym Battle, she seemed hesitant. While we were battling I noticed that she was shaking & she had tears & when I sent out my Slaking, she forfeit the match. I asked her what was wrong but she apologized & ran out crying. I got a call from Professor Birch & he told me that he got a call from her parents saying that she revoked herself as a Pokémon Trainer, but she still has her Pokémon."

Everyone was shocked to hear the story, Max was very speechless, he thought his dad was unbeatable, but after hearing about the trainers going soft & everything, it just stunned him.

"Honey, I have a feeling those people from North Petalburg might have done something to those Trainers." Caroline said

"I think you might be right." Norman said "After our Gym Battle, I'm getting to the bottom of it."

"That's a good idea." Brock said "Hey Ash, I'm proud of the way you thought of your Pokémon when they were too tired to continue battling."

"Thanks Brock." Ash said

"Breaking News, a Trainer by the name of Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town was nearly assaulted by citizens of North Petalburg in Petalburg City. We received a recording of the incident that happened in North Petalburg" A news reporter said as the recording of the incident showed on the screen

"I can't believe Ash was attacked all because he wanted a Gym Battle." Tracey said incredulously

"Bay!" Bayleef said angrily as she began to charge at the screen only to be caught by Heracross

"Rooor!" Tauros said angrily as he dragged his front leg on the floor

"Snorlax!" Snorlax said furiously as he had fire in his eyes as he & the rest of Ash's Pokémon were angry at the way Ash was treated all because he wanted a Gym Battle

"Oak." Delia said as she & Mr. Mime entered "Pack up the rest of Ash's Pokémon, we're going to Hoenn."

Misty was not alright, she was angry, No she was BOILING OVER, not only did they insult her friend but they insult her as a Gym Leader. She grabbed her mallet & went to the door.

"Misty, where are you going?" Violet asked

"I'm going to Hoenn, I need to teach those scumbags a lesson!" Misty said angrily as she left

"Oh dear, they're definitely gonna get it now." Daisy said

"Yeah, if there's anyone you don't wanna anger, it's Misty." Lily said

Mr. Goodshow was sitting on a chair, looking at the news & he didn't like what he saw, when he saw the way Ash was treated by Norman's fans when they found out he wanted a Gym Battle, he had a suspicious feeling.

Grace & Serena saw the recording in the news, they were shocked & Serena was mostly horrified & angry.

"Those rotten monsters!" Serena yelled angrily

"Some people just aren't right these days." Grace said disappointedly

"I hope Ash is alright." Serena hoped

"Humans like them should be extinct." Lysandre seethed in anger "That boy...it looks like he possesses a great power within him...I wonder if he could be our new recruit."

The Gym Leaders from Kanto & Johto were angry at being insulted along with the way Ash was treated. As for the rest of the Hoenn & Regional Gym Leaders along with the regional Elite Four, Champions & Professors, they were mostly disappointed with the citizens of North Petalburg's actions, but they gave Ash their respect for caring & protecting his Pokémon.

A girl who was watching the incident on the news. She was surprised that Ash managed to stand up for himself & his Pokémon. As she sat there, she thought long & hard, then she made a decision.
