A/N: here's chapter 3 for ya guys.

 Viridian Forest 

The group enters the large and lush forest with Faedra having a big grin on her face when something yellow darts into view, the group stops to look at whatever just came into view and they immediately recognise what it is. "It's a Pikachu". Phoebe states with a smile on her face and she pulls out a Pokeball to catch it however a Pokeball flies past her face and hits the Pikachu which then captures it. Phoebe looks back to see Grey walking past her to pick up the Pokeball. "Gotta be faster than that Phoebe". Grey says as Phoebe glares at him and replies. "That was my Pikachu Grey"! Grey turns back to Phoebe with a smile on his face and just walks off as Phoebe pouts, Josh walks up to Phoebe and puts a hand on her shoulder and says. "Don't worry about Grey he's always been like that". 

Phoebe looks back at Josh and replies. "Did I do something to upset him"? Josh shakes his head as he responds. "No you've done nothing wrong that's just how Grey is. We've been friends/rivals since we were kids so I've just gotten used to him but best way to deal with him is to know that while he maybe a bit of a loner he does mean well. So just give him a chance alright". Phoebe sighs as the group continue moving forward through the forest. 

The group are about halfway through the forest when Phoebe spots another yellow mouse and before she takes a step Grey tells her. "If you want to catch a Pokemon without battling it then watch your step and be as quiet as possible, though that might be hard for you". Phoebe again glares at Grey as she slowly makes her way over to the Pikachu, when she's in range Phoebe pulls out an empty Pokeball and throws it at the Pikachu. The Pokeball collides with the mouse like creature and it shakes two times but the ball opens and out pops the Pikachu who looks over at Phoebe and gets into a defensive stance. 

"Darn it I messed up, go Squirtle"! As Phoebe sends out Squirtle with most of the group minus Faedra moving over to observe the battle. "Phoebe be careful since your at a disadvantage in terms of type match ups". Josh tells her as Phoebe nods and replies. "Thanks but I've got this". Phoebe looks at the Pikachu with a determined face as she tells her Squirtle. "Okay Squirtle use Tackle"! The Squirtle rushes forward at the Pikachu however the mouse Pokemon dodges the attack and builds up static in its cheek pouches and lets out a small spark of electricity towards the Squirtle. "Quickly Squirtle dodge it". Luckily Squirtle manages to dodge the attack just in time as it runs forward and Tackles the Pikachu knocking it off balance with Josh yelling. "Quick Phoebe throw the Pokeball now"! Phoebe nods as she scrambles to pull out the Pokeball and then throws it at the Pikachu and this time she manages to capture it. 

Phoebe jumps up and down twice as she says. "I did it"! As she runs over to the Pokeball however Grey picks it up himself and Phoebe gives him a glare again but Grey just shows her a small smile and says nothing as he hands her the Pokeball and walks off. Phoebe looks confused as she rejoins the group with Lowen saying. "So I take it that's the party member you caught on Route 1 Josh". As Lowen points to the Pidgey on his shoulder with Josh looking shocked and semi yells. "Wait when did you get out"! Everyone laughs a little as Josh's Pidgey lets out a cry as Josh goes to return it to its Pokeball but it flies to his other shoulder as Josh gives it the side eye and says. "You're not going back are you"? The Pidgey lets out a cry and Josh sighs and the group is then joined by Faedra with Darren asking. "Where did you go"? Faedra smiles and says. "Don't worry about it minor details". 

The group then continues on their trek through the forest and after about another five minutes of walking they finally manage to exit the forest and after walking just a little bit further they reach the next town as the sun begins to set. "Pewter City here we are, let's head over to the Pokemon Centre and get some sleep". Lowen says as the group agrees and heads for the Pokemon Centre.
