3rd Person POV

(Y/n), the Alolan Champion, is up against the legendary Brandon, Frontier brain of the Battle Pyramid, (Y/n) has heard tales of how strong Brandon is. Some of that was on display because Brandon is battling with a Registeel, a mythical poke'mon, (Y/n) decided to call upon his reliable and powerful Charizard to do battle with the legendary trainer.

Brandon: Registeel, Flash Cannon!

Register: Regi! *uses Flash Cannon*

(Y/n): Charizard, Flamethrower!

Charizard: Roar! *uses Flamethrower*

The two beams connect and explode as their both evenly matched, despite the poor typing for Brandon. (Y/n) can't afford to mess around, he decides to go on the attack to try and overwhelm Brandon.

(Y/n): Alright Charizard, fly up and get in close with Dragon Claw!

Charizard rushes up and towards Registeel.

Brandon: Counter with Focus Punch!

As Charizard charges at Registeel, Registeel uses Focus Punch to counter Dragon Claw. The two poke'mon clash moves and try to hit one another, until they both connect to their opponents and the poke'mon are knocked back.

(Y/n): Charizard, Flamethrower again!

Charizard lights it up and hits Registeel dead on, the move is super effective and Registeel is even left with burns.

Brandon: Great work, you've raised your Charizard well.

(Y/n): And your Registeel can really take some punishment. Our Flamethrower has made Water types back down.

Brandon: Well we're just getting started. Registeel, Hyper Beam!

Registeel fires a Hyper Beam.

(Y/n): Charizard, dodge it!

The Hyper Beam misses and Charizard is back in the air.

(Y/n): Alright Charizard, Registeel needs to recharge, so use Flamethrower quick!

Charizrd: Roars! *uses Flamethrower*

Charizard sends a Flamethrower and it hits Registeel, doing some very big damage, but Registeel is still standing.

Brandon: Flash Cannon, now!

Registeel fires and the Flash Cannon hits Charizard, not doing a lot of damage but Charizard definitely felt it. Charizard falls to the ground and quickly gets back to it's feet.

(Y/n): Great work! Now Charizard, use Flamethrower!

The Flamethrower connects and does damage but Registeel is still standing, man this thing is a real wall, huh. Seeing this (Y/n) and Charizard start to get a little excited.

(Y/n): Alright Charizard, use Dragon Claw!

Charizard charges Registeel, but Brandon wanted this.

Brandon: Stand strong Registeel!

Registeel defends itself, Charizard's attack lands doing minimal damage, then Brandon shouts.

Brandon: Now Registeel, Iron Head!

Registeel hits Charizard sending it back a bit, and while Charizard's in midair...

Brandon: Hyper Beam!

Registeel fires, Charizard can't dodge and gets hit hard and skids across the stadium.

(Y/n): Charizard!

Charizard struggles to get up.

(Y/n): Come on, I know you can do it, please get up!

Charizard: *new determination* ROAR! *activates Blaze ability*

(Y/n): YEAH! That's it Charizard, now Flamethrower!

Brandon: Hyper Beam!

Both attacks clash and are evenly matched, with that he knows the battle is over.

(Y/n): Now Charizard, use Blast Burn full power!

Charizard: ROAR! *uses Blast Burn*

The attack hits Registeel in a massive explosion, when the smoke clears Registeel is knocked out.

Hala: Registeel is unable to battle! The winner is (Y/n), the Alolan Champion!

(Y/n): YES! Charizard, you were awesome!

Applause

(Y/n) rushes up to Charizard as it sits down in exhaustion, but Charizard accepts it's friends hug and nuzzles his cheek.

Brandon: Registeel return. You battled wonderfully my friend, we were just outgunned.

As everyone cheers, a familiar call rings out over the island.

Tapu Koko: KOKO!

Hala: Hahaha, Tapu Koko is quite pleased with this battle.

(Y/n): He sure did.

Lillie: Congratulations (Y/n), you did it! *hugs (Y/n) excitedly*

(Y/n): I couldn't have done it without my buddy.

Charizard: *happy growl*

Brandon: Well done, that was an exhilarating battle, even with you holding back against me.

Lillie: Wait, you were holding back?

(Y/n): Only when the whole world is at stake do I actually fire on all cylinders. I hope you weren't too disappointed.

Brandon: Haha, not at all, I knew you were strong but to hold back and still beat my poke'mon was an excellent experience. I look forward to doing this again someday.

(Y/n): Definitely.

The two trainers shake hands and Brandon departs, (Y/n) and Lillie heal Charizard from it's battle and then fireworks started exploding in the sky.

Lillie POV

As we watch the fireworks, I look at (Y/n) and think back to the good times together.

Flashback

(Y/n): Are you alright?

Lillie: *on the verge of tears* Please, save Nebby!

Flashback Change

*CRASH*

Lillie: Professor Kukui must be trying poke'mon moves again. *sigh*

(Y/n): Sound like fun!

Lillie: Oh, not you too.

Flashback Change

Lillie: Can I travel with you to the Trial site, please?

(Y/n): Why not.

Flashback Change

Lillie: Thank you, for everything.

(Y/n): Hey, we're friends. I'll always be there when you need me or just anyone.

Flashback Ends

(Y/n) has been a true friend since the first day we met and I will always be grateful. Now though I wanted to be more than a friend to him, I guess now is as good a time as any.

Lillie: *taps (Y/n)'s shoulder* (Y/n)?

(Y/n): *turns to me* Yes Lillie?

Lillie: *blushes* Can we, um, take a short walk up the Mahalo Trail, please?

(Y/n): Yeah sure.

He and I head off down the trail away from the festival and we come to the bridge where our friendship began. I stop and try to calm myself down.

(Y/n): Lillie? Are you alright?

Lillie: *turns to (Y/n)* No, I've been fighting with something inside my heart for the past ten years. I have always had you as a friend, you've been there for me since day one of your adventure, even if you were in the middle of something important like a Island challenge or a fight with Team Skull. You would always come to help me, if I just wanted company, in danger from poke'mon or my mother, even to something as simple as just hanging out and talking to each other. I have always enjoyed those moments I spent with you and when I left, I felt like a part of me was torn away. When we were taking down those pirates, I realized I couldn't hold my feelings for you back any longer.

(Y/n): *slightly emotional* Lillie.

Lillie: *tears up and speech starts breaking* The truth is, I love you (Y/n). I have ever since the first time I was kidnapped by the Aether Foundation and you came and saved me. *puts a hand on (Y/n)'s cheek* I love you so much, (Y/n).

Without another word, I lean in and give (Y/n) a passionate kiss, to my surprise he melted into it and kissed back. I had wanted this kiss for so long, it was just me and the man I love under the stars. We were forced to separate as the need for air became too much to handle.

(Y/n): Lillie, I always thought you were really beautiful in a lot of ways. You're smart, gentle, kind and a lot more patient then I'll ever be. I wanted to tell you that I loved you the day you left, but I didn't want to stop from taking your journey. I love you too Lillie, more than anyone on this or any planet.

I manage to giggle as I tear up some more, (Y/n) gently wipes my tears away and I pull him into another kiss. We walked back to the festival, our fingers interlocked, I was so happy that (Y/n) felt the same way about me and now we can be together.
