I was playing my Pokemon Ultra Sun game. I had just beaten my last trial and was on my way to the newly formed Alola Pokémon League. I had my best team with me: Firecat, a Level 83 Incineroar, Decidueye, Level 98, Lunala, Level 80, Solgaleo, Level 75, Arceus, who I got from a trade with a relative who got it from a secret event somehow, Level 100, and Primarina, Level 68. I got Decidueye and Primarina through trade, which meant they leveled up faster, 3 legendaries, and my faithful Fire-Type starter, Firecat, raised from a Level 5 Litten. I stacked up on Hyper Potions, Revives, Max Potions, and Max Revives. I challenged the Elite Four several times, got to the Champion twice, but lost every time. Eventually I got so annoyed that I decided to just drop trying to become the Champion for a bit and continue my Eeveelution Quest, a challenge I made for myself to get all the Eeveelutions. I still had to get a Leafeon and a Glaceon, so I went to the PC in the Pokémon Center, got the Eevee that I had nicknamed Glacie, trained it a bit, then had it level up in the ice cave you have to go through to get to the Pokémon League. (if you know the name of that cave pls tell me I can't remember 😿)

"What? Glacie is evolving!" The game showed the evolution animation and when my Pokémon reappeared, she was a beautiful Glaceon.

"Congrgatulations! Your Glacie evolved into Glaceon!" I went back to the Pokémon Center and pout Glacvie back it the PC, taking out my other Eevee that was named Leaf and my Trumbeak. I flew over to Lush Jungle and interacted with the big, moss covered stone.

"The rock is covered with moss. It feels soft to the touch." I battled the Pokémon in the patches of grass near the moss rock, and pretty soon, Leaf evolved.

"What? Leaf is evolving!" The evolution animation played again with Leaf reappearing as a Leafeon.

"Congratulations! Leaf has evolved into Leafeon!" The screen suddenly went black. Did my 3DS XL die? No, the blue battery light was still on. A text box appeared on the screen.

'Good job. You have all the Eevee evolutions now. Does that mean you'll come back for me?' What's going on? I don't think this is supposed to happen. Red eyes with black slits for pupils appeared on the screen. 'Are you coming back for me?' A yes or no option appeared. I clicked yes. 'Really?' Yes or no. I clicked yes again. 'Let me hear you say it. Say that you'll come back.' A yellow ring appeared above the eyes. I leaned into the microphone, my breath shaky. 

"I'll come back."

'Say my name.' The screen read. I didn't know what was happening. Had someone glitched my game? 'This is not a glitch. I just want to know if you'll come back for me. Say my name.' I struggled to remember the names of my Pokémon. Red eyes, yellow ring... I had a small collection of Umbreons, one always playing in Poke Pelago. I kept it away from the other Umbreons, for some reason. I hadn't checked there in a while. Could this Umbreon be that one? 'Say my name.' The screen read, the text bigger. I couldn't remember. I was in a small panic and my memory didn't work well in panic. My memory barely worked well ever. As I attempted to retrieve the name from my dump of a mind, the text grew bigger.  'Say my name.' I finally remembered. I whispered it into the microphone.

"I'll come back, Umbre."

'.    .    .' I was nervous. Had he heard me? 'That's not my name.' What!? Impossible! I only nicknamed one of my Umbreons! 'Say my name.' What was it talking about!? The only Umbreon with a unique name was Umbre! The text got bigger. 'Say my name.' I racked my brain for the answer. Who was this Umbreon!? What was it's name!? '.      .      .' The text went red and stayed the same size.

'You don't remember my name, do you?'  Wait! It was in there somewhere! I just had to find it! 'YOU DON'T REMEMBER MY NAME, DO YOU?' I gave up. "I'm sorry. I don't." "YOU'RE NOT SORRY!" A voice shouted through my speakers. I was so glad my parents weren't home. "HOW COULD YOU NOT REMEMBER MY NAME!? I THOUGHT I WAS THE FAVORITE!" I stayed silent, looking at the screen in fear. An Umbreon sprite was on the screen, facing me, looking angry. It's mouth opened and it's rings flared brightly as the voice shouted through my speakers again. "SAY MY NAME!" "I don't remember it!" The Umbreon's ring light died down. "So I'm not the favorite?" It said, pure hate in it's voice. "..." "IF I'M NOT THE FAVORITE, WHO IS!? YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO NAME ANY OF YOUR OTHER UMBREONS!" "..." "WHO IS THE FAVORITE!?" I shouted back in fear. "HIS NAME IS UMBRE! THE ORIGINAL UMBREON THAT I CAUGHT! HE'S IN POKÉ PELAGO!" The Umbreon smiled and it's voice was calm again. "That's all you had to tell me." It's sprite faded away and the overworld appeared again. I was still in Lush Jungle.

"What just happened...?"

'What do you mean, what just happened?' A text box appeared, the text green. "Wait... Who are you?" 'Seriously? You just evolved me!' "... LEAF!?" 'Yeah, who did you think it was?' "Well, it's just... I've never heard you speak the human language." 'I'm not. The servers are translating what I say.' "Wait, what? How do you know that you're a game?" 'Insanity told me.' "Who's Insanity?" 'One of the Umbreons that you have stored in your PC Boxes.' "Oh..." 'Anyway, wanna tell the other that I've finally evolved?' "Sure. Let's go tell them." 'Okay. TO THE PC BOX! *laughing*' "Hahaha. Looks like you've heard me on more than one occasion." 'If you don't want your party hearing you, then don't leave the system on when you close it and leave it around your place.' "Okay, although I can't guarantee I'll remember." 'That's good enough for me.' I flew back to the Pokémon Center and right before I opened the door, blue text appeared in a text box. 'Are you going to leave me back in that box? I want to travel with you like when you first started out.' "I'm assuming this is Trumbeak?" 'Yes. Why did you leave me in there?' "It's just that... The Pokémon and trials on later routes are really strong." 'So you think I'm weak? I can get stronger! Will you love me again if I get stronger!?' "Trumbeak, I..." 'WILL YOU LOVE ME AGAIN!? PLEASE LOVE ME AGAIN!' "Trumbeak, I've always loved you. You were the first Pokemon I've ever caught." 'You've never stopped loving me? Then why did you leave me in there?' "I had to train up for the Elite Four with my other Pokémon." 'The legendaries?' "Yes, and the starter evolutions I got." 'I can't believe people are so willing to just give away their starters....' "Well, sometimes, we have to reset the game and those people don't want their starters to be forever lost. Or something like that..." 'I guess that makes sense?' "I'm gonna go put Leaf back now. She wants to tell the others that she's finally evolved!" 'Okay. Can you train me up more, though?' "I promise. K, Trumbeak?" 'Okay.' I went inside the Pokemon Center, depositing Leaf in the PC box and watching as her sprite called the other Pokémon sprites in the box to see that she's finally evolved. I giggled and exited out of the PC box, surpised that Trumbeak was standing right behind my Trainer, giving her a little poke. 'So can we train now?' "Sure." I said, making my 3D sprite pat it's head. 'Thanks!' I went into a patch of tall grass, Trumbeak following me like Pokemon did in Gens 1-5.
