Episode 01 - The Journey Begins
Location: Beige Town - Kanto Region
No POV
In the world of Pokémon at a quiet little town called Beige Town located at the Kanto Region, we see a young 10-year-old boy by the name of Rusty came down the stairs to announce to his parents that he is ready to go out on a journey to be the best Pokémon Trainer in the world.
Rusty: Look out, world! Today's the day I become a Pokémon Trainer!
However, his parents don't like the idea of Rusty becoming an official Pokémon Trainer and they both want him to follow in his father's footsteps to become a sandwich maker at the family deli restaurant.
Rusty's Father: What?! Absolutely NOT, Rusty!
Rusty: But Dad, it's my destiny!
Rusty's Father: No. Your destiny is to go to college and get a real job, mister. Your mother and I didn't bust our humps working, so you can be some kind of professional pet owner.
Rusty: Red's mom lets him be a Trainer and Silhouette's mom lets him be a Trainer as well.
Rusty's Mother: Who are they?
Rusty: Uh! They're both awesome Trainers and Red is from Pallet Town. Silhouette also lives right next door to us. I followed them on Twitter, and I heard that Silhouette is bringing an old friend of his to go on a journey with him.
Rusty's Dad: You're always going on about this "Pallet Town". What's wrong with Beige Town?
Rusty: We're not even on the map, Dad. I'm 10 years old, I'm an adult, I can go wherever I want.
Rusty's Dad: Legally, yes. That is true. But as long as you're living under my roof, buster. You're gonna stay here and help out with the deli. Now, deliver this chicken panini to the professor's house, then go to school!
Rusty's Mom: It's just down the block from-
Rusty's Mom: I KNOW MOM! It's literally the only other two houses in town, right next to Silhouette's house. GOD!
Rusty then grabs the professor's sandwich in the bag and storms out of the door.
Rusty's Mom: You know that Rusty is going to forget the whole family business and starts becoming a Pokémon Trainer.
Rusty's Dad: I know that he wants to become a Pokémon Trainer like this so-called Red, but I think we should send Silhouette and his friend to go with Rusty in case he does try to go out to become a Pokémon Trainer instead of following in my footsteps as a deli shop owner.
Rusty's Mom: Great idea. Those two should be good enough to keep an eye on Rusty before he can cause trouble or getting seriously hurt. Better get over to Silhouette's house and let the boys know. I heard that Silhouette's mom is getting the two ready to go on an adventure through the Kanto Region.
Rusty's Dad: Good idea. That's what we'll do. I'll head over there right now.
So then, Rusty's dad heads out the door and walks over to Silhouette's house to ask them to watch over Rusty in case he ever goes on an actual journey through the Kanto Region and become a Pokémon Trainer as we see Silhouette and Y/n getting ready to go on an adventure in the Kanto Region with Silhouette packing some food and supplies into their backpacks.
Y/n: Thanks for helping me out, Silhouette. I really appreciate it.
Silhouette: No problem, pal. It's the least I can do. I still can't believe that your own parents kicked you out after you graduated high school.
Y/n: I know, and they took my car and all the money I earned from my part-time job. I worked my ass to earn that stuff. The only things that I got to keep was my entire video game collection.
Silhouette: I know, but at least my mom is willing to keep your gaming stuff here until we come back from our journey.
Silhouette's Mom: That's right. There's no reason for those criminals to get away with it and kicking you out of the house for no reason. But at least I'm letting you boys go on an amazing adventure in the Kanto Region, unlike Rusty's parents refusing to let his own son go on a journey.
Y/n: Who's Rusty?
Silhouette: He's my next-door neighbor and his family are the owners of one of the best deli sandwich shops in the entire region. Rusty wanted to become a Pokémon Trainer, but his parents refused to let him do that and wanted to continue the family business.
Y/n: Ah, I see.
Silhouette: Oh, I just remembered something. I got you some Pokémon to start your journey with.
Y/n: You did? What did you catch for me?
Silhouette: See for yourself.
Silhouette then hands Y/n two Pokeballs and Y/n released the Pokémon inside them as they revealed to be a Pikachu and a Scorbunny.
Pikachu: Pika Pika!
Scorbunny: Scor!
Y/n: Holy cow! You got me a Pikachu and a Scorbunny?!
Silhouette: Yeah, I figured you would want some Pokémon to start the journey, so I managed to get you both a Scorbunny and a Pikachu to start the journey with.
Y/n: Thanks bro! I promised to take good care of them and train them properly.
Silhouette: I know you will. You're the smartest guy I know to have some Pokémon on your own. I already got a Chespin and a Squirtle, so that we both have two Pokémon to start with.
Y/n: That's good. This is gonna be a fun adventure. I'm gonna name my Scorbunny, Ace.
Ace: (Jumps up in joy of the nickname Y/n gave him) Scor!
Silhouette: Guess he likes the name.
Silhouette's Mom: Well then, I hope you boys go out there and become the champion, but please be careful when you go out there.
Silhouette: We'll be fine, mom. We can take care of ourselves.
Silhouette's Mom: Alright then. Good luck on your journey boys.
Y/n: Thanks, Mrs. Silhouette.
Silhouette: Thanks mom.
Then suddenly, as they were about to go on an adventure through the Kanto Region, they heard the doorbell ring and Silhouette's Mom went over to the door and opened it revealing to be Rusty's Dad.
Rusty's Dad: Hey, sorry if I interrupted something, but I need you boy's help with something.
Silhouette: What is it, Mr. Rusty?
Rusty's Dad: Well, I sent my son to go deliver the professor of this town his chicken panini sandwich at his lab, but I fear that he might disobey my orders into following the family business, so I wanted to ask you boys if you can go with him if he ever goes on a Pokémon adventure. He can be a bit reckless when it comes to being a Pokémon Trainer.
Y/n: I don't know. I'm not sure that's a good idea. I mean, what if he does something stupid that could get us arrest from his own brand of stupidity?
Silhouette: He's got a point. He's recently just got kicked out of his parents' house for no reason and--
Rusty's Dad: If you guys do it, I'll give you guys all the sandwiches you can eat on the house.
Y/n: (Sigh) Ok then. I mean, that's a lot of sandwiches to eat for free, but you beat anything that's free. So, I guess we can keep an eye on Rusty before he does something really stupid.
Silhouette: Alright then. If he agrees, then I agree.
Rusty's Dad: Great. You two won't regret this. (Gives them his number) Call this number if anything goes wrong and I'll bring Rusty back home because he needs to keep the business up and running if I wanted him to make him follow in my footsteps.
Y/n: Don't worry, we'll let you know if Rusty goes too far on his journey as a Pokémon Trainer.
Rusty's Dad: Oh, believe me. He won't stop being a Trainer no matter how much anyone tries to stop him from being one.
Silhouette: We'll we better get going and find Rusty before he walks out of this town with a Poke ball in his hand.
So then, the two of them went out the door to find Rusty and go on their journey through the Kanto Region before Rusty starts his journey that will lead to some major problems to the Pokémon World.
Rusty's Dad: You know, those boys are a couple of smart cookies, aren't they?
Silhouette's Mom: They sure are. I hope those two will be okay with your son, Rusty.
Rusty's Dad: Don't worry, I'm sure that can handle him and his stupidity. It'll be all over before you even know it. Also....how did Y/n's own parents managed to get away with kicking him out and taking everything that he owned and worked for except for all of his video games?
Silhouette's Mom: It's a long story. Do you and your wife have time for me to explain?
Rusty's Dad: Sure. I'll bring my wife over and I'll make us some sandwiches to pass the time.
-Inside the Professor's Lab-
As Rusty heads over to the Professor's lab to make the delivery, the whole lab is all covered in smoke as the Professor of Beige Town known as Prof. Tree is a junkie and enjoys smoking weed while he works on his duties as a Pokémon Professor, or at least that's what he does for a living like Professor Oak from Pallet Town. But then again, he just might be worse than Rusty and as not good as the Real Professor Oak.
Prof. Tree: Oh...Hey! Rusty. That my Lunch?
Rusty: Professor Tree, you know a lot about Pokémon, right?
Prof. Tree: Not really. It was just the easiest grant to apply for...I got a monthly paycheck and a free lab...All I gotta do is count Pidgeys once in a while. Then I can spend the rest of my time growing pot. Shouldn't'a told you that...I'm pretty high.
Rusty: So, YOU need somebody to go out and study Pokémon for you!
Prof. Tree: Uhhh...yea!
I knew it. He's just using this job to get money to buy drugs and stuff that he doesn't even need. He should not be a Pokémon Professor at all.
Rusty: Awesome! I'll do it! My journey begins!
Rusty then grabs the Pokémon from the table known as a Kakuna as his starter Pokémon as the start of his journey as a Pokémon Trainer.
Rusty: I'll take this Kakuna as my first Pokémon!
Prof. Tree: Wow! You're good at this. I thought that was a paperweight.
He was just using that Pokémon as a paperweight. That's insane! Does he not realize what Kakuna's evolve form is? Let's hope that Rusty doesn't try to make it angry once it evolves.
Rusty: You and me Kakuna, we're gonna catch'em all! So long, Professor. Tell my parents I'm dead! (Walks out the door)
Prof. Tree: Rusty, wait! You took my panini!
Then suddenly, two Pidgeys flew into the lab with one of them perching on top a machine and the other one knocked over the Professor's bong.
Prof. Tree: Whoa. Two Pidgeys! A new record!
-Outside the Lab With Y/n and Silhouette-
Silhouette: Alright, buddy. Rusty should come out of the lab at any second with a Pokémon.
Y/n: Ok then and after we take him along in our journey, we can start our adventure. (Sniffs the air) Do you smell weed?
Silhouette: Ooooh, yeah. The professor of this town is named Prof. Tree and he looks exactly like Prof. Oak, but with some sunglasses and he's more of a junkie then an actual Pokémon Professor.
Y/n: Oh, I see.
Silhouette: (Spots Rusty) Oh here he comes and he carrying...a Kakuna?
Y/n: What? Really?
Silhouette: Yeah, how did he managed to get a Kakuna as his Starter Pokémon?
Y/n: I don't know, but we should probably be careful with it on case it ever evolves into its final form.
Silhouette: Good idea. Hey, Rusty?
Rusty: Huh? (Turns to see both Silhouette and Y/n) Oh hey guys, are you going on a Pokémon adventure too?
Y/n: Yeah, your dad says that we have to go with you to make sure that you don't mess up during your journey.
Rusty: Sweet! I knew that you guys are willing to let me tag along. This is going to be an amazing adventure for the three of us! With our Pokémon and our amazing talents, nothing can stop us. After all, logic is the rarest candy of all.
Y/n: Ok then. Let's get this adventure with.
And so, the three of them begin their journey through the Pokémon World and become the very best Pokémon trainers the world has ever known.
Or at least for both Y/n and Silhouette's case as they plan to keep Rusty from causing any trouble to anyone around him as their Pokémon journey has just begun.
