Snow way out continuation

Ash’s arms tightened around Misty as he realized the depth of her fear. He leaned back slightly, his face pale but determined. "Okay, Misty. I’ll stop being stubborn. I’ll listen to Brock and let him check me out."

Misty sniffled, brushing away a tear as she smiled. "Thank you, Ash."

Brock cleared his throat, stepping forward with his medical tools. "Alright, Ash. Let’s see how you’re doing."

Ash grinned sheepishly. "Go easy on me, Doc."

Brock chuckled. "No promises. Now, sit still and breathe in for me."

Ash inhaled deeply, and Brock listened carefully with his stethoscope. Misty sat close, holding Ash’s hand and watching nervously.

"How’s it looking, Brock?" Misty asked, her voice tense.

Brock removed the stethoscope, his brow furrowed. "His lungs sound a bit congested. It’s probably the cold air he’s been breathing in for too long. I’m guessing mild hypothermia, too. Ash, have you felt dizzy or lightheaded?"

Ash hesitated. "Maybe… a little. But it’s nothing serious!"

Misty tightened her grip on his hand. "Ash."

He sighed. "Fine. Yes, I’ve felt dizzy."

Brock nodded. "I thought so. You need to rest and warm up properly. No arguments."

Ash pouted. "Fine. But only if you promise to keep an eye on Pikachu and the others."

"Pika pi!" Pikachu protested, hopping onto Ash’s lap again.

"They’re fine, Ash," Brock said. "You’re the one we’re worried about right now."

Charmander let out a small "Char!" and curled up next to Ash’s other side, its flame glowing brightly to provide warmth. Ash couldn’t help but smile as his Pokémon surrounded him.

Misty leaned closer, her voice soft. "See? Even your Pokémon want you to take care of yourself."

Ash sighed, his resolve softening. "Alright, you win. I’ll rest."

Brock handed him another blanket. "Good. Now stay put while I make some hot soup."

Ash raised an eyebrow. "You’re cooking? Should I be worried?"

Misty chuckled. "Don’t worry, Brock’s cooking is way better than mine."

Ash smirked, teasing her. "That’s not saying much."

Misty playfully swatted his arm. "Hey! I’m being nice to you!"

Ash grinned, leaning back against the tree. "I know. Thanks, Misty. And… I love you too."

Misty blinked, her cheeks turning pink. "You do?"

"Of course," Ash said with a lopsided smile. "You’re always looking out for me. Even when I’m being an idiot."

Misty smiled softly, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Well, someone has to keep you in line, Ketchum."

Ash chuckled. "Guess I’m lucky to have you."

"Yeah, you are," she whispered, her voice filled with warmth.

As Brock stirred a pot over a small fire and the Pokémon gathered around, Misty stayed close to Ash, keeping him warm and safe. For once, Ash let himself be cared for, realizing he wasn’t alone.
