In the Palm of my hand

"Now, Weavile." Quillon commanded.

"Azumarill." Danika added

"Blastoise. Come on out." Gary ordered.

"Blastoise."

"Hey! What are you doing?" Goh asked.

"I think having a battle is our best plan." Gary replied.

"I kind of think it's just playing around." Goh said as he threw a Pokeball.

"Cinderace."

"Okay, I'll run support for you all." Goh said.

Before they could do anything, they heard a strong, " Eevee!" From the cliff.

They turned.

There was a bunch of Pokemon, but they were covered by the dark.

There was also a human with a flowey dress and straight hair.

" Who are you?" Quillon demanded. " And what do you want?"

The person sighed. " Oh Quillon. You're sad."

The Pokemon stepped forward.

" Eevee!"

" Sprigatito!"

" Char, Charmander!"

" Totodile!"

" Chika!"

" Alcremie!"

" Jiggly!"

"Appletun!"

" Rockruff!"

" Cherubi!"

Clefairy!"

" Ponyta!" The Galarian Ponyta yelled.

" Amura!"

" Altaria!"

" Shaymin!"

" Cinccino!"

" Milo! Tic!"

" Palafin!"

" Deerling!"

" Girafarig!

" Wobu Wobu fet!"

" Heyo!" Growlithe yelled.

" Toge Toge priiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

Gary blinked. " Hold on.... Those Pokemon seem awfully familiar...."

The person tilted their head and stepped forward. Quillon, Danika, Goh, Gary and Horace could see she was wearing pink flats with a pink bow on the front.

" Mew." The person said. " What's wrong?"

Mew turned to the person, and they gasped, stepping back. " Oh no...."

The Pokemon stepped forward.

" You guys really want to do this, huh?" The person asked softly.

Her Pokemon choursed, and the person nodded. " Right."

" Eevee, tackle! Wobuffet run defense! Chikorita Sprigatito Shaymin absorb! Charmander heatwave! Growlithe flamethrower! Totodile Milotic Palafin scald! Ponyta if they get hurt use your heal pulse! Appletun use Apple Acid! Jigglypuff once she's tired I need you to use sing! Rest of you,  help however you can."

The Pokemon choursed, and the person threw a finger into the light. " Alright, let's go!"

The person’s Pokémon launched into action with unparalleled determination.

“Eevee, tackle!” she commanded. Eevee bolted forward, its swift movements almost invisible as it darted toward the battle.

“Wobuffet, keep the defense tight!” she added. Wobuffet positioned itself in front, ready to counter anything thrown its way.

“Chikorita, Sprigatito, Shaymin, Absorb! Charmander, Heat Wave! Growlithe, Flamethrower!”

A coordinated flurry of attacks surged forward, Heat Wave igniting the air as Absorb drained the scattered energy. Totodile, Milotic, and Palafin unleashed Scald, sending torrents of steaming water at the opposition.

But no matter how precise and powerful the moves were, they didn’t seem to connect. The dark energy surrounding the enemy deflected every attack like an invisible shield.

“Apple Acid, Appletun! Jigglypuff, Sing!”

Appletun spat bursts of corrosive acid, and Jigglypuff’s melody floated through the air, but the dark aura swallowed it whole.

“Why isn’t it working?!” Danika shouted, her voice barely audible over the cacophony of attacks.

Gary grimaced. “This isn’t just a battle—it’s like they’re fighting a void!”

The person clenched her fists, determination burning in her eyes. “I’m not giving up! Not now!”

“Ponyta, Heal Pulse on the team! Everyone else, keep trying! Alcremie, Mystical Fire! Altaria, Dragon Pulse! Deerling, Energy Ball! Cherubi, Solar Beam!”

The Pokémon poured their hearts into their attacks, their cries echoing across the battlefield. But the dark barrier remained unyielding.

“Enough!” Quillon snapped. “It’s not working. We need to fall back!”

“No!” the person yelled, her voice fierce. “I refuse to give up on them!”

Her Pokémon turned to her, their eyes filled with trust and determination. They weren’t ready to give up either.

Goh stepped forward, his voice shaking. “We’re with you. Whatever happens, we’ll figure this out together.”

The person nodded, her resolve hardening. “Alright, one more time. All of you, together!”

“Charmander, Overheat! Growlithe, Inferno! Milotic, Hydro Pump! Eevee, Last Resort!”

The Pokémon unleashed their most powerful attacks, the energy building to a blinding crescendo. For a moment, it seemed like the barrier flickered.

But then the dark energy retaliated, sending a shockwave that knocked everyone back.

The kid gripped the Z-Ring tightly, her voice steady despite the chaos. “Time to step it up. Z-Move, let’s go! Three…”

The first ring on her wrist began to glow as the kid turned it, sending a surge of yellow energy into her Eevee.

“Ready, Eevee?”

“Eevee!” the Pokémon cried, its resolve matching its trainer's.

Without hesitation, Eevee sprinted toward the edge of the cliff and leaped into the air. Mid-flight, its form shimmered and shifted, evolving into Umbreon in a flash of radiant light.

“UMBREON! USE Z-MOVE: DARK PULSE!”

Umbreon howled, channeling the immense energy granted by the Z-Move. A wave of dark, pulsating energy erupted from it, colliding with the oppressive barrier. The impact sent ripples through the dark shield, and for a moment, it looked like it might crack.

Gary’s eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold. “There’s only one person I know whose Eevee can do that.”

Wisty didn’t stop. She turned the second ring, summoning Chikorita to the forefront.

“Your turn, girl. Let’s show them what we’ve got!”

“Chiiikaa!” Chikorita cried, stepping forward with unshakable confidence.

As the girl prepared for the next Z-Move, Growlithe barked loudly and sprinted forward. Its fiery spirit and the way it moved struck Gary with a sudden realization.

“No way,” Gary muttered. “It’s her.”

Danika and Quillon glanced at him. “What are you talking about?” Quillon asked.

Gary shook his head, disbelief giving way to a small, nostalgic smile. “That’s Wisty… Ash’s little sister.”

Goh blinked. “Ash has a sister?”

“Yeah,” Gary replied. “We grew up together. She’s a little firecracker, just like her brother.”

On the battlefield, Wisty was in her element, her Pokémon rallying around her. She turned to Growlithe, her voice firm yet filled with affection.

“Wisty?” Gary called out, stepping forward.

Wisty paused and glanced at him, her straight hair catching the light. She gave a small, mischievous grin. “Long time no see, Gary. Miss me?”

Gary smirked despite himself. “You haven’t changed a bit.”

Wisty turned back to the battle, her focus razor-sharp. “Yeah, well, save the reunion for later. We’ve got a fight to win!”

Growlithe barked in agreement, and Wisty’s Z-Ring began to glow once more. This was far from over.

Chikorita unleashed her attack, vines bursting forth as energy crackled in the air. But even as the move hit its mark, the dark barrier refused to yield. Growlithe followed up with a searing Flamethrower, its fire roaring to life, yet still, the shadow pulsed ominously.

Wisty frowned, her determination deepening. “Alright, if they think that’s enough to stop me… they don’t know who they’re dealing with.”

She turned back to Umbreon, her gaze steady. “Umbreon, return to Eevee!”

In a shimmering flash, Umbreon’s sleek black form glowed and shifted back into the familiar, loyal Eevee that had been with her from the start. Eevee landed gracefully, ready for its trainer’s next command.

Wisty’s Z-Ring flared with power, but this time, it wasn’t just a Z-Move. She reached for another ball of energy—Dynamax energy—letting it surge into her partner.

“Let’s go, Eevee! It’s time to Gigantamax!”

Eevee barked eagerly, the battlefield trembling as Dynamax energy enveloped it. A glowing light shot into the sky as Eevee grew larger and larger, transforming into its towering Gigantamax form, its fluffy mane now a massive, glowing cloud.

The others shielded their eyes as Gigantamax Eevee let out a powerful, echoing cry.

“Now this is a fight!” Goh shouted in amazement.

Wisty pointed directly at the shadowy energy barrier, her voice ringing out like a challenge to the world. “Eevee, let’s finish this! G-Max Cuddle!”

Gigantamax Eevee sprang forward, its overwhelming power radiating love and light. As it crashed into the dark barrier, its sheer force sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield.

But Wisty wasn’t done.

“Eevee! Time for the second part! Jolteon, let’s go!”

As the massive Eevee’s glow began to wane, a second evolution pulsed from its form. Jolteon emerged mid-air, lightning arcing around its spiky body.

“Jolteon, Thunder! Full power!”

Jolteon unleashed a massive surge of electricity, lightning bolts crackling and slamming into the weakened dark energy. Sparks flew in every direction, and the barrier began to tremble, cracks spiderwebbing across its surface.

Gary, wide-eyed, couldn’t help but grin. “She’s really giving it everything…”

Danika gaped. “Is this how Ash’s sister battles? She’s intense!”

Wisty stood tall amidst the chaos, the wind whipping around her, her pink flats planted firmly on the ground. “Come on, Eevee… let’s shatter this thing once and for all!”

The light and energy reached their peak as Wisty’s Pokémon poured their all into the fight, the dark energy starting to crumble under the pressure.

Wisty’s sharp eyes caught the faintest glimmer in Mew’s—the same playful sparkle Mew always had. It was small, buried beneath the dark energy, but it was there.

“Mew…” Wisty whispered, her voice soft but resolute. Then her expression hardened. “We’re getting you back. I promise!”

Gigantamax Jolteon’s Thunder crackled around her as Wisty turned to her team, determination radiating from her. “Everyone, we’re close! We just need to purify Mew completely!”

Eevee, now back to its normal form after the Gigantamax faded, barked in agreement.

Quillon blinked at her. “What do you mean, ‘purify’? That dark energy isn’t something you can just—”

“You don’t know Mew like I do!” Wisty snapped, not taking her eyes off the battle. She turned to Chikorita, Growlithe, and the others. “All of you, work together! We’ll overwhelm the darkness with everything we’ve got!”

Her Pokémon cried out in agreement. Chikorita released another Magical Leaf, Growlithe’s Flamethrower flared brightly, and Jolteon crackled with sparks.

“Mew, listen to me!” Wisty called out, stepping closer to the cliff’s edge despite the swirling chaos. “You’re stronger than this! Remember all the good times we’ve had together!”

For a moment, Mew faltered in the air, its dark energy flickering. The glimmer in its eyes grew stronger.

From behind her, Horace looked like he’d seen a ghost. “Wait… Wisty, you caught Mew? The Mew?!” His jaw dropped. “That’s… amazing!”

Goh blinked. “She has Mew? No way!”

Gary, arms crossed, smirked slightly. “Of course she did. That’s Wisty for you.”

Horace just gawked, his mind racing. “I thought finding Celebi was incredible… but Mew?!”

“Focus, guys!” Wisty shouted, though a small smile tugged at her lips. She turned back to the battle, her heart pounding as she reached for her Poké Ball.

“Mew! Come home—where you belong!”

As her Pokémon launched their final combined attacks, light burst through the dark energy like a sunrise cutting through a storm. Mew let out a cry—a sound both pained and hopeful. The darkness around it cracked, then shattered into glittering fragments that dissipated into the wind.

Wisty extended her hand as Mew drifted toward her, its body now glowing with its usual radiant light. Mew floated into her arms, its playful eyes wide and full of warmth.

“Mew!” it chirped softly, nuzzling against her cheek.

Wisty sighed with relief, holding Mew close. “I told you we’d get you back.”

Horace still looked ready to faint. “You caught Mew… and you saved it…”

Gary shook his head with a small laugh. “You’ve always been full of surprises, Wisty.”

Goh could only stare in awe. “Ash’s little sister, huh? You’re just as amazing as he is…”

Wisty grinned, brushing a strand of hair from her face as she hugged Mew. “Ash taught me well. But let’s not forget—this is my team, and we never give up.”

As the sunlight broke through the clouds and the battlefield settled, Wisty’s Pokémon gathered around her, their victory complete. Mew floated above them playfully, fully restored and glowing as bright as ever.

“Yeah,” Gary muttered with a smirk. “She’s definitely a Ketchum.”
