Easter - Contest Shipping

May picked up one of Drew's gloves, her brow furrowing. She felt around the lumpy fabric and gasped. "There's something inside!"

Carefully, she turned the glove upside down and shook it. Out tumbled another brightly colored egg, glittering like a rare gem. This one was purple and silver, with tiny sparkles that caught the light.

"Another one!" May exclaimed as Skitty purred proudly beside her.

The egg clicked open in her hands, revealing a handful of tiny caramel candies and yet another slip of paper. May unfolded it eagerly, squinting at Drew's unmistakably neat handwriting.

"I'm a tower but not too tall,
Your battles here can win it all."

May blinked at the riddle, frowning in concentration. "A tower... but not too tall? What could that mean?"

Skitty meowed and pawed at May’s PokéNav, which was lying on the bed. May stared at it for a moment before the answer clicked.

"The Battle Tower!" she exclaimed, jumping to her feet. "Of course! Drew, you really went all out with this, huh?"

Skitty leaped up, ready to follow her trainer, as May grabbed her bag and dashed toward the Battle Tower just outside the Pokémon Center. The excitement bubbled in her chest. She couldn’t help but smile, imagining Drew setting all this up. Was he watching her right now, smirking in that oh-so-cocky way of his?

As May reached the Battle Tower's base, she glanced around, looking for any sign of another egg. Then she spotted it—a green egg with little pink roses painted on it, nestled in a flower pot near the entrance.

May picked it up, laughing softly. "Okay, Drew, you’re definitely behind this."

The egg popped open, revealing another note and a small golden charm shaped like a rose.

"Your final clue is something sweet,
Find it where we first did meet."

May’s cheeks flushed as she read the words. Where they first met... The Contest Hall!

Grinning from ear to ear, May sprinted back toward the Contest Hall. Drew had taken something as simple as Easter and turned it into a full-blown adventure. And knowing him, the finale would be just as memorable.

May burst into the Contest Hall, her heart pounding with excitement. She glanced around, searching for any sign of the next clue—or Drew. It didn’t take long before her eyes locked onto a familiar figure standing casually near the stage.

Drew.

And, of course, he was holding a rose. Again.

"Seriously?!" May called out, hands on her hips as she marched toward him. "Every single time with the rose!"

Drew smirked, twirling the flower between his fingers before holding it out to her. "What can I say? It's tradition."

May rolled her eyes but took the rose anyway, catching the faint scent of its petals. As she did, she noticed a small ribbon tied around the stem. A tiny card was attached, and she unfolded it with curious fingers.

"Congratulations, May. You solved them all.
Now, here’s your prize—my final call.
Close your eyes and count to three...
There’s one more surprise waiting for thee."

May looked up at Drew suspiciously. "Close my eyes? Really? How do I know you’re not going to prank me?"

Drew crossed his arms, feigning innocence. "Do you think I’d go through all this effort just for a prank?"

"Yes."

"Fair enough," Drew admitted with a shrug, smirking again. "But not this time. Just trust me, okay?"

May sighed dramatically but did as he said, closing her eyes. "One... two... three—"

Before she could finish, something soft brushed against her cheek. Her eyes flew open in surprise, and she froze.

Drew had leaned in and kissed her.

It wasn’t long, just a quick peck, but it was enough to leave May speechless.

"Happy Easter, May," Drew said, his voice softer than usual, a hint of pink dusting his cheeks as he straightened up.

May blinked at him, still clutching the rose. Then, slowly, a grin spread across her face. "You’re such a show-off."

"Only for you," Drew replied, smirking again, but there was a gentleness in his gaze that made her heart flutter.

Skitty, who had been quietly observing, let out a cheerful "Skiiiitty!" as if approving of the moment.

May laughed, lightly swatting Drew with the rose. "Okay, fine. Best Easter ever."
