Contest shipping wedding
May and Drew were shoved out into the makeshift backyard altar by an excited Lily, who had apparently orchestrated a full-blown "wedding." The place was decorated with streamers, mismatched flowers, and stuffed animals posing as extra guests. Ash, Misty, Brock, and Max looked on, utterly baffled, dressed in hastily chosen fancy outfits Lily had somehow forced on them.
"Uh...who’s the wedding for?" Misty asked, scratching her head.
"Yeah, why are we even here?" Ash added, tugging at the uncomfortable tie around his neck.
“For Aunt May and Uncle Drew, of course!” Lily announced with a flourish. "They're getting married! Isn’t it beautiful?"
May’s jaw dropped. "Lily, we are not getting married!"
“Yeah, I didn’t agree to this,” Drew added, crossing his arms.
Lily’s sweet smile turned devilish. “Oh, but you don’t have a choice.”
May and Drew exchanged panicked looks as Lily clapped her hands. “Let’s start with the vows! Uncle Drew, you go first.”
“Lily—” Drew began, but she interrupted.
“No excuses!” Lily handed him a piece of paper. “Here, read this. I worked very hard on it.”
Drew reluctantly took the paper and glanced at it, his face paling. “You’ve got to be kidding me…”
“Read it!” Lily demanded, her hands on her hips.
With a deep sigh, Drew cleared his throat. “May, from the moment I first saw your fiery spirit and determination, I knew you were special. Your beauty rivals the most stunning rose, and your kindness makes the world a brighter place. Every moment I spend with you is a gift I cherish. You are my muse, my confidante, and the person who makes my heart race like no other.”
May stared at him, her face as red as a tomato. “D-Drew, what is that nonsense?!”
Drew gave her a helpless look. “She made me read it!”
“Your turn, Aunt May!” Lily chirped, handing her another piece of paper.
“No way am I—"
“Do it!” Lily interrupted with a warning glare.
Gritting her teeth, May snatched the paper. “Fine.” She glanced at the vows and groaned. “Drew, you are the most infuriating, smug, rose-wielding person I have ever met. But somehow, you’re also my greatest ally and the one who always has my back. You’re like sunshine on a rainy day, and my life wouldn’t be the same without you.”
“Touching,” Drew muttered sarcastically, though his cheeks were slightly pink.
“Okay!” Lily said, clapping her hands. “Time for the big moment. Uncle Drew, you may kiss the bride!”
“WHAT?!” they shouted in unison.
“You heard me!” Lily smirked. “Kiss! Or else…”
“Or else what?” Drew asked warily.
“Or else,” Lily said with a sly grin, “I’ll tell everyone Aunt May is pregnant, and you’re the father.”
May’s face turned bright red. “YOU WOULDN’T!”
“Try me,” Lily said, folding her arms. “Now, kiss like a normal married couple, or this gets real awkward.”
Ash and Misty, who had been whispering nervously, froze at Lily’s words. Misty turned to Ash, her face pale. “If she finds out about us, we’re so doomed.”
“Yeah, no kidding,” Ash muttered, tugging at his collar.
Meanwhile, May and Drew were locked in a standoff, but under Lily’s unrelenting gaze, they realized there was no escape. With identical looks of utter defeat, they leaned toward each other and gave the quickest, most awkward peck on the lips imaginable.
As soon as they pulled apart, both acted like they’d been poisoned.
“Gross!” Drew exclaimed, rubbing his mouth.
“Never again!” May shouted, fanning her face like it would erase the memory.
“Beautiful!” Lily said, clasping her hands together. “But next time, put some feeling into it. Married couples are supposed to love each other!”
“There won’t be a next time!” May retorted.
“We’re not actually married!” Drew added.
Lily tilted her head and smiled sweetly. “You sure about that? Because I did download a marriage certificate template online…”
May and Drew groaned in unison as the guests exchanged bewildered looks.
“Can we leave now?” Ash asked.
“No,” Lily said firmly. “There’s still the reception. And the first dance!”
As the chaos continued, Misty whispered to Ash, “We need to avoid Lily at all costs.”
“Agreed,” Ash said, nodding quickly.
