Contest Shipping - wedding
The garden was decorated with streamers, balloons, and paper flowers. The guests—Ash, Misty, Brock, and Max—looked utterly baffled as Drew and May stumbled onto the scene. Both were still wearing their makeshift wedding attire, faces red and voices ready to explode.
"WHAT IS THIS?!" May shrieked, glaring at Lily, who stood at a makeshift podium with a clipboard.
"Your wedding," Lily said matter-of-factly. "Now, please proceed to the altar." She pointed to a blanket covered in flower petals.
"Wedding?! This is insane!" Drew protested. "We’re not even—"
Lily gave him a glare sharp enough to cut glass. "Uncle Drew, Aunt May, unless you want me to tell everyone that you're just chicken, I suggest you cooperate."
Misty leaned over to Ash. "Do you think we can sneak out of here without her noticing?"
Ash shook his head. "Are you kidding? She’ll drag us into our wedding next if she finds out."
Brock cleared his throat. "Uh, is there any actual food at this wedding? Because if not—"
"Quiet, guests!" Lily snapped. She motioned Drew and May to step onto the “altar.” “Uncle Drew, here are your vows. Read them with love, or else.”
Drew stared at the note card Lily shoved into his hand. He squinted at the overly flowery writing and paled. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Read,” Lily commanded, crossing her arms.
Drew reluctantly cleared his throat. “May... from the moment I first saw you, my heart has been like a bouquet of roses—soft, delicate, and full of admiration.”
May’s face turned as red as a Charmeleon. “Oh, Arceus...”
Ash coughed loudly to hide his snort, but Misty elbowed him in the ribs.
Drew continued, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “Your smile is brighter than the sun, your laughter is sweeter than honey, and your... your stubbornness challenges me to be a better person every day.” He grimaced. “Seriously, Lily?”
“Keep going!” Lily snapped.
He groaned and read the final line. “You are my everything, my forever, my May. I promise to cherish you always.”
May looked ready to combust. “Drew, I swear—”
“Aunt May, your turn!” Lily handed her another card.
May scowled but read aloud. “Drew, you are the thorns to my rose... Wait, what?!”
“Keep reading!” Lily barked.
“You are the thorns to my rose, the gust to my Beautifly, and the sparkle in my Poké Ball.” May’s voice grew quieter with each word. “Even when you’re infuriating, I can’t imagine a life without you. I promise to always stand by your side, even when you act like a—” She paused and glared at Lily. “Did you write buffoon in here?”
“Stick to the script!” Lily ordered.
Drew smirked. “Buffoon sounds about right.”
“Oh, shut up!” May snapped.
Lily ignored the argument and clapped her hands. “Wonderful! Now, Uncle Drew, Aunt May, you may kiss.”
“What?!” May and Drew shouted in unison.
Lily’s innocent smile turned devilish. “Kiss. On. The. Lips. Or else...”
“Or else what?” Drew asked warily.
“Or else I’ll make Aunt May pregnant, and Uncle Drew will definitely be the father.” Lily smirked. “So, pull it together, lovebirds.”
The silence was deafening. Ash and Misty’s faces turned pale as they exchanged horrified glances.
“Nope,” Ash whispered. “We are never letting her find out about us.”
Misty nodded furiously. “Never.”
“Fine!” Drew groaned. He turned to May. “Let’s get this over with.”
May looked like she wanted to crawl under a rock but leaned in anyway. “Just do it quickly.”
Their lips met in the briefest, most awkward kiss imaginable. They immediately recoiled as if burned.
“I feel poisoned,” Drew muttered.
“Likewise,” May agreed, wiping her mouth with her sleeve.
Lily huffed. “That was the worst kiss I’ve ever seen. If you two don’t act like a normal couple, I swear I’ll—”
“Okay, okay!” Drew interrupted, raising his hands in surrender. “We’ll try harder. Just... don’t say the P-word again.”
Lily grinned triumphantly. “That’s more like it. Now, let’s cut the cake!”
As the chaos continued, Ash leaned over to Misty again. “So... how long do we stay before we can leave without offending anyone?”
“Forever,” Misty said, staring at the scene with wide eyes. “We’re trapped.”
