May yawned and stretched as she opened her eyes, blinking her eyes a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light.

Drew was nowhere to be seen.

Wait.... Isn't today...?

She grabbed her phone and scrolled to the date and squealed.

Easter!

She jumped up and glanced at her Skitty. " Skitty it's Easter!*

" Skiiiiiity!"

May glanced at the window still and raised a brow.

A yellow egg.

She picked it up and it opened like a Pokeball.

Out shot some bunny shaped chocolates.

There was also a small paper that fluttered in the air. May caught it and folded it open.

Congratulations! You found the first clue! Where do you go when you want to train?

" Train?!"

May stared at the paper, confused.

Wait.

It's a riddle.

Oh great.

Train.... Train.... Train....

" Outside?* May asked, confused.

But there was soooo much outside!

How was she-

Wait.

Does grass glimmer in the sun?

" What's this?* May mumbled as she picked the glittery egg from the grass.

It opened again.

This time gummies fell from them.

With the paper.

What is as soft as a kitten,

You wear on your hands, it's a........

What?!

" What do you put on your hands that's soft as a kitten?! You don't put kittens in your hands!!"

" Skitty?"

May smiled at Skitty. " Are you good at riddles?"

" Skit?"

May gave her Pokemon the paper. " Could you interpret this while I-"

Skitty took the paper and ran.

" Hey! Skitty!" May chased her Pokemon back into the Pokemon Center and into their room.

Skitty stopped on the bag. " Skit!"

" You think the next one's in here?*

" Skit!!"

Skitty hopped off and May opened the bag.

Nothing.

" Skitty, there's no-"

Then she saw Drew's winter gloves.

They were all lumpy.

"Wait a second..." May muttered, narrowing her eyes. She reached into the gloves and pulled something out. A pink egg rolled onto the bed, glittering faintly in the light.

"Another egg!" May exclaimed, excitedly cracking it open. Inside, there were more candies and another piece of paper.

This time, the note read:

What is green and sharp, found on your path, but bends with the breeze?

May groaned, flopping onto the bed. "Seriously, Drew, what’s with these riddles?" She held the note up for Skitty to see. "Any ideas?"

"Skiiiity!" Skitty tilted its head and pointed toward the window with its tail.

May peered out the window and spotted something glinting near a tall patch of grass outside the Pokémon Center. "The grass!" she realized.

She sprinted outside, with Skitty bounding after her, and knelt by the tall blades of grass. Sure enough, nestled among the greenery was another egg, this one lime green with a silver ribbon.

May popped it open and gasped. Inside was a beautifully folded flower made of paper, along with the next clue:

Congratulations, May! You're almost there. The final surprise is waiting where roses are red and battles are won.

She froze, her cheeks turning pink. "Roses are red... battles are won..."

Skitty pranced around her feet, looking up expectantly.

"That’s so Drew!" May huffed, grabbing Skitty and heading straight to the Pokémon Contest arena where Drew always hung out.

Sure enough, there was Drew, casually leaning against the wall, his trademark rose in hand. At his feet sat a golden egg, tied with a green bow.

"Drew!" May shouted, stomping up to him. "What’s the big idea making me run all over the place for—"

He cut her off, smirking as he handed her the rose. "Happy Easter, May. Thought you’d enjoy a little challenge."

May stared at him, then at the golden egg. She cracked it open, revealing an intricately wrapped chocolate bunny and another note:

"Thanks for playing along. You’re the sweetest prize of all."

May blinked, her face flushing. "Drew... did you—"

"Don’t make it weird," Drew said quickly, turning his face away. But the faintest hint of a blush on his cheeks said it all.

May couldn’t help but grin as she hugged the golden egg to her chest. "Happy Easter, Drew."
