Song: "Recollection" - Naruto Shippuden: The Movie
Groaning softly, as she laid in the bed, Sara sat herself up a little for a brief moment, until she was immediately hit with another powerful headache again, that's enough to nearly make her cry in pain.
Just not too long ago, the headaches suddenly slammed in her body's system without any warning, and it already feels like Giratina's realm.
"Ah! Oww!" She winced, having no choice but to lay herself back down.
"Sara, are you alright?" Kira's voice was heard, making the young teen look over and see her mother still sitting on the chair, right next to the bed, and watching her.
Unable to say anything at the moment, Sara shook her head, as she held it in pain.
Earlier, not long after she told her mother that she'll help teach her the basic stuff a human normally does, she was just getting ready to teach her, until that plan was unfortunately sabotaged because of the said headache.
"Uhm...Sara?" Kira begins as she shifts her gaze, not meeting eyes with her daughter for a moment before looking back at her. "I've been meaning to say this, but, there's something I'd like to apologize to you about."
"Huh? Why?? You did nothing wrong, mom." Sara went, giving her a bewildered look.
"While that alone is very valid, I still insist on apologizing...There's something I should've told you, the moment you and your friends arrived in the past." Kira sighs.
"But, your friend, Penny, is the only one who knows about this other than Sada."
In turn, Sara could only give her mother a questioning look, not understanding what she means by this.
However, she decided to hear her mother out, since she knows it'll become more understanding if she lets her explain.
For a few minutes, silence filled the atmosphere in the room, until Kira broke it with another sigh as she slightly leaned forward a bit and rested a hand to her forehead.
"Sara...I think it's time I should tell you this. What your mother was researching was not just the mysteries behind the Terastal phenomenon, when she was still alive...She was researching ways to artificially create humans, along with learning more of paranormal activity of the deceased."
"Artificially - ? You don't mean - ?" Sara began, only to get a nod from the AI.
"Yes..." Kira says next as she shudders. "The whole reason the research on synthetics started, was because of her interest in the pokémon, Mewtwo.
Apparently at some point, she found out the knowledge that the pokémon was a clone of the mythical, Mew, created by Team Rocket. Only the pokémon had a mind and willpower of it's own, especially when it comes to making it's own decisions.
She wanted to see if it was possible to do the same with humans too, since she knows it's possible to do it with pokémon aside from Mew and Mewtwo, shortly after she learned about this."
Hearing those words, Sara's face paled as she covered her mouth, while she stared at Kira.
"My...My god." Sara could only say, trying to process the knowledge she was given. "That's...That's really...dark."
"You don't have to tell me. I know and felt the same way too...But, unlike Team Rocket, your mother had good intentions when she was researching that kind of stuff." Kira nods.
"You're the prime example of that."
"Me?" Sara went as she pointed at herself.
"Mm-hm. And she truly loved you too. That's why, instead of the unpleasant life that clones were mostly given, she gave you a normal life.
Spending time with you, giving you consent to stay at your uncle's home, and giving you a normal school life while you seek out your own treasure when the Treasure Hunt begins every school year...
That was the kind of lifestyle she wanted you to have. And what she wanted any other artificially created humans to have too."
At those words, Sara was lost.
Even if she wasn't synthetically created, she knew her mother still wanted her to live the life she's living right now...
That was an unexpected surprise that'll be hard to take in and process.
"But, what about the other half of the research? The paranormal one??" Sara inquires.
"It's linked to the other one. As you somewhat know, your mother has been interacting and connecting with ghost type pokémon, a lot more frequently than a hex maniac trainer normally does and from what I can count, up until the day she died.
Just a few days before her death, she had been interacting with a pokémon that goes under the alias name, 'Dokutaro', in the files, when I checked her documents and notes on the pokémon that she's last encountered and interacted with, up until her dying day.
"Dokutaro...." Sara murmurs aloud to herself. "If I recall it well, that name alone has something to do with or related to the meaning 'poison peach'...Do you think it's a new pokémon, that hasn't been discovered?"
"Yeah...I think so too." Kira nods. "The name itself is unheard of, even though I'm certain that it's not its actual name. More like a code name if I were to describe it. But, the notes your mother left behind seems to hint the pokémon is possibly at the region you were born in."
"Weird...And you mention it's hinted to possibly be in the region where I was born in?" Sara went. "I'll keep an eye out for it, whenever I get the chance to visit my home region again. If I find it, I'll catch it too, and make sure it won't cause any kind of chaos anymore."
"Thanks. I'm sure your mother would be happy to hear this." Kira smiles softly.
"Just...please be careful. Your mother and I wouldn't want you getting hurt while you're going after it."
"I pinky promise. With all my heart and soul." Sara swears as she extends her pinky finger out to Kira.
Nodding after seeing how serious Sara was, Kira reached out with her pinky finger as well, before she and Sara hooked them together.
"Good. I want you to stick with it, until it's been fulfilled." A relieved sigh was heard from Kira, as she and Sara unhooked their pinkie fingers.
"I plan to." Sara smiles softly in return.
"Now, a word of advice, in the future...If you're given purple mochi, whenever you get the chance to visit your birth region again, do NOT eat it at all costs, no matter the circumstance or how tasty and delicious it looks and smells." Kira says as her face changes to a really serious look.
"Just say thanks and mention that you're not hungry but you'll take it and save it for later...When you do, put it away in your bag."
"Why?" Sara asked, feeling really bewildered by that sudden warning.
"I've done some digging on your mother's research on Dokutaro recently too lately, up until I was sent into the past...And it's somehow linked to the purple mochi that's been offered to your mother before from a friendly old lady.
I don't know what would happen if you try or actually do eat it, but I strongly insist that you really shouldn't, just to find out the result by experimenting on yourself." Kira answers as she shakes her head.
"Okay...Whatever it is you tell me, I'll listen to you." Sara nods.
"Thank you, once again...On the side note, how's your head? Are you feeling any better?" Kira sighs in relief again before asking, concerned of her daughter's health.
"Yeah, I'm starting to recover. My head still hurts, but it's not to where it feels like it's splitting in half like a melon anymore." Sara answers as she sits up a little.
"That is good."
"Uh-huh...Are you alright with me teaching you the basic human stuff, while I'm recovering?"
"It's fine as long as you don't push yourself too hard."
"Alright, let's start with the simple thing, for your first lesson..."
Then Sara pulls out a pair of scissors and a blank piece of paper from her school bag.
"Try cutting the paper in half, in a straight line, with the pair of scissors I gave you. It doesn't have to be perfect either." She instructs Kira.
Nodding again, Kira slipped her fingers in the finger holes of the scissors and started to cut the paper in half, as Sara watches her.
When she was finished, Kira held the cut paper up for Sara to look.
Seeing the results, Sara clenched her teeth and sharply sucked the air in between them as the sight of it.
The result was...awful.
While her AI mother did cut the paper in half as Sara asked her to, it looked more like it was ripped in half to a rough shape than being cut in half.
"I didn't do a very good job at it, did I?" Kira asks, feeling slightly disappointed, after seeing her daughter's facial expression.
"No..." Sara shook her head. "But it's okay. It's your first time doing this, and I did mention it doesn't have to be perfect either after all."
"Valid..." Kira sighs as she hands the paper and the scissors back to Sara.
After taking the paper and scissors, Sara set them down on the bed for a moment.
"On the light note of this, you held the scissors the right way, when you were trying your best at cutting the paper in half, so that's a good starting point for an AI mother like you." Sara mentions next.
"Really!? That's wonderful!" Kira's eyes lit up with excitement, feeling happy to hear this.
"We just need to work on the cutting part..." Sara nods. "Here, lemme show you how it's normally done when a human cuts a piece of paper in half."
At those words, Sara picks up the paper and scissors from the bed, before she demonstrates to her mother next.
When she was finished, Sara showed the result, surprising Kira a little over how noticeably different the paper was, in comparison to hers and Sara's when it was cut in two.
"Wow...Yours looks better and smoother than mine." Kira speaks, as she continues to gaze at it a bit longer before looking at her daughter.
"Yeah. So, now you know what it normally looks like when a human cuts a piece of paper in half." Sara chuckles lightly.
"And that's where that part comes in for me to start teaching you, to help you improve on cutting the paper apart."
"Okay!" Kira nods.
Content with hearing that, Sara smiles before she started teaching her mother, even though it was a little bit frustrating, since it felt like she was teaching a five year old who gets distracted easily instead.

While sitting on the couch and trying her hardest to relax, Sada glanced over at the injury she got from the futuristic Slither Wing earlier, checking to see how bad it is.
Just by looking at it, it wasn't a pretty sight to her.
And the new feeling she felt...
Pain was not a pleasant feeling at all.
It was a nightmare.
Glancing up as she heard footsteps descending down the stairs, she spotted Arven and then Penny next.
"I've heard about what happened from Arven..." Penny says while walking over to Sada. "Lemme see what I can do to repair you."
Then she nodded her head over to Sada's injured arm.
"If I may?" She asks
Nodding, Sada carefully slipped her injured arm out from her lab coat and showed it to her.
"Yeesh...That looks really nasty. These should help for now." Penny sharply sucked the air in between her teeth, before she started to work on repairing her.
While that was going on, Kira had just gotten downstairs when she immediately noticed the state Sada was in.
"Oh god, Sada!" She went in shock, after covering her mouth. "What happened to you?!?!"
"Shoot...This was the last thing I wanted to happen too." Sada muttered under her breath, as she looked away for a brief moment, before looking back at Kira.
"I tripped over a branch and fell to the ground." She lied.
"The heck you did! That injury's not something you can get, just by falling over!" Kira went, unconvinced by Sada's lie. "Who the f#$% did this to you?!"
After hearing Kira say this, Sada, Arven and Penny were all caught off guard for a moment, as they both turned to look at her, taken aback by those words.
She, Arven and Penny knew Kira was kind, caring and a bit of a worrywart, especially to everyone else other than her daughter very well...
But they never expected her to also be the type to swear like that, on such rare occasions, once in a while.
"Kira!" Sada went, still clearly in shock by what she just said. "Language! You know there's kids around!"
"I can worry about my language later. Right now, I still want my question answered...Who did this to you?" Kira rolled her eyes at the ceiling, as she sighed heavily through her nostrils, before she folded her arms across her chest and looked back at Sada.
"Be honest. You know your lies and excuses don't work on me at all, Sada..."
Knowing she wasn't getting out of this until she honestly answered Kira's question, Sara buried her face in her free hand and sighed.
"It was one of his pokémon that did this...They came in and attacked me without any warning too." She answers, before looking back up at Kira.
"Now, can you kindly please don't use such vulgar words around the kids again, in the future? I understand you're a little bit overprotective towards me and Sara, but I don't tolerate this."
"Yes, I'm sorry. Especially to you too, Arven and Penny...I'll try to be careful with what I say next time." Kira nods, feeling a little guilty, as she lightly dips her head.
"Thank you. I appreciate it." A relieved sigh was heard from Sada next.
Afterwards, Kira's eyes turned yellow as she glanced over at the direction towards the stairs, without turning.
"Sara, I know you're there. You overheard this and got it on recording on your rotom phone...Didn't you?" She asks, as she still didn't turn to face the stairs.
"How'd you - ?" Sara went as she stepped down into view and stared at her mother in shock.
"AI sensory." Kira chuckled as she turned to look at Sara now, answering her question.
"Dang it...You're too good at this." Sara groaned a little.
"Heh...Sorry, sweetie. But you're gonna have to deal with that." Kira smirked as she reached over and ruffled Sara's hair.
"Whatever..." Sara pouted.
Then she grinned to herself for a moment.
"But, I gotta admit, it was pretty hysterical for me to overhear an AI use a curse word." Sara snickered next as she looked at her mother.
"Almost reminds me of that one movie I watched with uncle Mao, that involves AIs..."
"Sara, that subject's been done and over with!" Kira screeches in embarrassment. "Drop it!"
In response, Sara laughed a little before settling herself down.
"Alright, alright...I'll stop." She giggled.
"Be lucky I didn't ground you right off the bat. I may be an AI, but that doesn't stop me from being your mother too." Kira sighs.
"I know...This was just payback for embarrassing me yesterday by talking about my life when I was a baby." Sara grins wickedly, as she sniggered a little.
"Hey!"
