Somewhere in Kanto
Looker walked through the quiet corridor. The corridor was never-ending, atleast to the human eye. There was no other noise, nor a single sign of life except the FBI Agent. He was there for a meeting, his boss wanted to have an important discussion with him. He stopped outside a door with 'Head of Department' engraved on it. He took a deep breath in and knocked.
"Come in." Said a feminine voice. It belonged to Felicia Cruz. Looker and her had known each other since high school and even though they joined the FBI together, she had always been Looker's senior. Looker walked inside her office. "Looker..." She started.
"Uh uh-" Looker interrupted her. "We've known each other for what? Forever? Call me by my name."
"Was it Ted? Or maybe Jason?" Asked Felicia, joking. "They are so many, I don't even know what you go by anymore."
"You can call me Ted." He said. "Or Jason. Or maybe Stefan, just don't call me late for dinner. Ugh, already used this one with you."
"Only a thousand times. Okay, I called you here to talk to you about the Giovanni case." Felicia's tone became serious. "You're taking this friendship or whatever you call it - for granted. But now, this continues on my terms. You have 48 hours to bring Giovanni in, with proof that he committed those crimes-"
"Or else?" Asked Looker, he was frustrated, he also understood why Felicia was doing something like this, even her hands were tied.
"Or else, this case is closed." Said Felicia, she was frustrated too. "And no, I'm not angry this time, I'm just worried about the most capable agent who's wasting his life on one man."
"You know, it's Giovanni we're talking about, I can't find anything on him, and as soon as I do, it's gone-" Looker tried to explain himself. But was interrupted again.
"48 hours, that's all you get." Said Felicia. "Take it or leave it. The clock is ticking. Good luck."
Looker walked out of the office and took a deep breath. He gasped and quickly pulled out his phone.
"Hello? Sam? How are you? I'm good." He said, talking on the phone. "Need to catch Giovanni in 2 days. In or out?"
Dewford Town, Hoenn
"Sabrina? Was she just hanging out in the Pokécenter?" Asked Cassidy, confused about Red and Leaf's story that Sabrina spent the halloween with them. "Quite odd, isn't it?"
"Like I told you, she's on some kind of a holiday, just wants to spend some alone time away from everything else." Leaf explained. "How hard is that to understand?"
"Can you tell that story again? I lost you at Sabrina, she's my favourite gym leader." Butch had heart eyes, he was list in his own thoughts. "She's so perfect."
"Uh huh?" Cassidy looked at Butch in disapproval. "Okay, I'll tell you a story. Butch met this girl back in Rustboro called Melissa, who then asked him to deliver a letter to someone. Now all he thinks about is this letter and that girl."
"Guys." Leaf commented.
Enid looked around. It was a Pokécenter. Leaf and Cassidy sat on the couches right in front of the reception while Butch was standing in a distance, reading a magazine. Enid sat in a corner and noticed everything, heard everyone, read every-mind. She began building a level of trust for Red and Leaf but they still were Pokémon Trainers, something she hated about them.
"What's your plan? What are you doing?" Asked Leaf, curious about what Cassidy and Butch were trying to do.
"Right now? Butch is gonna deliver some stuff to guy named Steven, then he is supposed to deliver that letter. Once that is taken care of, we'll head straight Lilycove, unless Butch decides to take any detours." Cassidy explained.
"I hope Butch doesn't ruin my plan here, once we get to Lilycove and know what Team Aqua is doing. I'll send Giovanni every piece of information he wants to wipe Aqua and Magma from the face of the Earth." — Cassidy thought.
"Oh, by the way." Cassidy began. "Where is Red?"
It was a bright sunny day. Red was sweating, and so was the fisherman right in front of him. The fisherman promised to give Red a unique fishing poll only if Red beat him in a battle.
"Go Wingull." The fisherman sent his first Pokémon. "God, it's so hot today."
Red pulled out his Pokédex and pointed it towards the Wingull.
"Wingull, a Seagull Pokémon. It rides upon ocean winds as if it were a glider. In the winter, it hides food around its nest." Explained the Pokédex.
"Alright, I choose you, Pidgeotto." Red tossed out a Pokéball and Pidgeotto appeared from within. "Use sand attack."
Wingull's accuracy fell. "Wingull, use Water Gun." Red was surprised to see a flying type Pokemon use a water type attack, he quickly checked Wingull's types. He was shocked to see Water listed as one.
"Alright, then." He said. "Pidgeotto, use Wing Attack." Wingull fainted, it was a powerful attack.
"Come back." Said the fisherman, calling the Wingull back. "Go Pelipper."
Red pointed a Pokédex at the Pelipper.
"Pelipper, a Water Bird Pokémon. It is a flying transporter that carries small Pokémon in its beak. It bobs on the waves to rest its wings." Explained the Pokédex.
"Pelipper! Water Pulse." Said the fisherman. Pidgeotto fainted. "You should've chosen an electric type." The fisherman smirked.
Red was irritated at this point. "Come back, Pidgeotto." He said. "Go Pikachu, use Thunderbolt."
Pelipper fainted. Pikachu's electric type attack was super effective against the water type Pelipper.
"What did you do?"
"I chose an electric type." Red smiled.
Somewhere in Kanto
Looker sat alone in his car. The sun had set a few minutes ago and the darkness now filled the street. Looker wanted to turn on the headlights but he was in a trance, thinking how he was going to catch Giovanni and prove him guilty of his crimes.
Suddenly, the door of his car opened. Looker swiftly grabbed his gun and pointed it at the uninvited guest. All he could see was a man, sitting beside him with a hood on.
"It was so difficult to find you, Looker." Said the man. As soon as Looker heard his voice, he knew who sat beside him, as the man turned to Looker to reveal himself.
"Giovanni." Looker placed the gun right at Giovanni's forehead, where he believed it belonged. "Give me one reason not to kill you right now."
"I'll give you three." Said Giovanni, speaking as quietly as he could. "One, you're not a killer."
"Try me."
"Two, you don't have any evidence against me. And you won't find any, as you're aware, I have the most capable hacker on my side. So unless you wanna go to jail-" Giovanni continued. "And three, last but not the least, if you kill me right now, you won't ever get the information I'm about to give you."
"You're here to give me some information? Is that right? What's that supposed to be? An evil masterplan, I suppose." Looker raged. "You took everything from me, and I am never going to forgive you for that, you monster, what are you doing here? What do you want?"
Giovanni laughed. "I'm on a mission to achieve global peace, and yet, I am the monster. Or maybe I am one and just don't know it yet. But what I do know is that if I don't do what I have been planning to do, for decades, the world will end sooner than it's meant to. And without this information, you don't stand a chance against me, you can't stop me."
"And you want me to stop you?" Asked Looker. "You're a sociopath."
Giovanni smiled. "Do you want the information or not?"
"Can you stop saying information, for one minute?" Asked Looker. "Okay, what is this information?"
"Me." Giovanni smiled. "I confess that I run Team Rocket and am responsible for hundreds of deaths in the Kanto region."
Looker stared at Giovanni in confusion.
"Come on, I am surrendering here, where are the handcuffs?" Giovanni asked. "I am the boss of a criminal organization, for god's sake. Show some respect."
