It was about an hour following their arrival in Dewford Town. The small town was located on the island of Muro. While the rest of the island was a dense forest, the town had no sign of greenery except for it's boundaries.

Most of the buildings were near the beach, with a few being located in the forest. The world always seemed to be growing, but the people of Dewford however, did not support anything new.

New trends were always the rage among the inhabitants of this small island town, something the Devon Corporation was trying to fix. But did the town really need any fixing?

"Butch, where is this bloody cave?" Cassidy was out of her breath. "That girl, Florissa-"

"Her name is Melissa. She asked me for a favour, well, she wanted a letter to be delivered to her grandmother, if I remember correctly." Butch explained. "As for the parcel, we need to deliver it to some guy called Steven."

"And he's just chilling in the cave?" Asked Cassidy. "How odd. Why did you even opt to be a delivery boy?"

Butch ignored her and went on, towards the cave. It was about 7 in the evening, Cassidy was worried that they would not be able to make it back before the clock hits 10.

"When I was a kid, I used to walk like this with my dad, late nights." Said Cassidy. "We used to come back home with an icecream in our hands."

Butch smiled. "That's nice." He said. "I didn't really get to connect much with my father. He was always busy. But mother was there, always, she used to make these delicious pastries that could make your mouth water just by the scent. I'd do anything to eat one of those again, once all of this is over, maybe."

Cassidy smiled. If everything goes like I've planned, then yes, Butch, I would love to join you with those pastries. I wish I could share what I'm trying to do, but I know you won't support me. Your mind is set against what Giovanni is trying to do, and I can't change it. But I promise, I will try my best so that you stay safe at all costs. You're my best friend. But I will have to eliminate you if you do anything against my plans — thought Cassidy.

"You know, if any of this gets more complicated than it already is, I'm going to head straight home and say hasta la vista to all of this." Butch said, smiling.

"Hasta la what?"

"Hasta la vista. It's spanish for goodbye." Butch explained. "Ah, leave. Nothing too important. I just like using it."

"Hm." Cassidy tried to remember it. "Hasta la vista? Huh." She whispered to herself.

Before they could even realise, they were standing right outside the cave. It was as dark as it could be. The sky had the darkest blue shade and the moon was nowhere to be seen.

Cassidy was sweating in fear. She had no intentions of entering the cave. "Hey, I don't wanna go in there!" She screamed.

"Alright then, wait outside." Said Butch, walking into the cave alone. He was all by himself.

Cassidy watched him walk inside as he disappeared, out of her sight. She realised that she was all alone now. She looked around, trying to search for another sign of life nearby.

All she could see was the beach, in a distance, the sound of the waves hitting the rocks somewhere close, and the noise of the trees, shaking because of the breeze. The cold wind made Cassidy shiver.

Suddenly, she could hear nothing. The waves, the trees, the wind, all gone. It was dead-silent. She began trembling in terror. She started having a chilly feeling on her back, that slowly travelled upwards to her neck, in a matter of seconds, her torso was petrified when the only thing she could hear was her own deep, cracking breaths.

She had a strange feeling, as if someone was there, watching her every move. She looked around to confirm it, but no life was to be found.

She closed her eyes, as she began losing her mind. She noticed that her breathing was louder, and whenever she exhaled, she could feel the air on her right ear, which she assumed was the wind.

She took a deep breath and held it for a few seconds. But, she could still hear someone exhaling, followed by the air on her right ear. She was petrified. The sound of the breathing, came closer, and closer, she could hear the sound of someone breathing into her ear.

She felt someone's presence. Someone was standing behind her.

"We are not afraid of being alone in the dark." Said a feminine voice into her ear. "We are afraid of not being alone in the dark."

Cassidy slowly turned around, hesitating. She recollected herself and finally saw who stood behind her.

There was no-one.

Cassidy screamed at the top of her lungs and ran for her life into the cave. "Butch!" She howled. As soon as she stepped into the cave, she hesitated to take another step. The cave was darker than her future. She couldn't see anything.

How did Butch manage to go about it — she wondered. Now what?

Cassidy tried her pockets and pulled out a lighter. She clumsily lit it and began walking deeper into the cave. She walked in a straight line, trying to find the right way, but the cave felt never-ending.

Where is he? — she thought. I think I should stop. I'm probably lost.

Cassidy stopped walking. She heard a sound of someone walking right behind her. She clenched her fists, her face went pale and her heart skipped a beat.

"Cassidy." Said the same feminine voice, everything she spoke sounded like an eerie whisper. "You really are all alone. Nobody wants you. Giovanni knows you're expendable, your family doesn't care if you're alive, and Butch, if you told him your truth, he would leave too."

Cassidy was astonished. "Who is that?!" She demanded, enraged. She felt someone's presence again, right next her. She turned to see who it was. A dark human-like figure sat next to her with red glowing eyes. She froze.

She couldn't move herself, nor could she set her eyes off the creature that stood next to her.

"Do you want to feel wanted again? I know what you crave, Cassidy, and I can help you." Said the creature. "I can pave the right way for you, but you're the one who'll have to walk on it."

Cassidy took a deep breath. "This isn't real, this isn't real." She panicked. She closed her eyes tightly and opened them again. The dark figure vanished.

She wiped the sweat off her forehead and turned around to head back to the exit. The figure appeared right in front of her, looking right into her eyes. Cassidy clicked the lighter again and threw it on the dark figure. As soon as the lighter touched the creature, it disintegrated, turned into dust within seconds.

"That was a mistake." Said the dark figure in anger. It placed it's hand on Cassidy's shoulder. The figure turned into a gray-ish smoke and went inside Cassidy through her mouth. Cassidy fell to the ground.

She passed out.
