Red's POV

How awkward do you think it was, finding a legendary Pokemon in the wild and catching it, only to know it was some shape-shifting Pokemon.

The answer is - I WAS IRRITATED, FRUSTRATED, AND EVERY WORD ENDING WITH 'ATED'.

I guess you guys have a lot of theoretical experience and knowledge about what it is to be a trainer. But if something like that ever happens to you, don't forget that it happened to a Pokemon League Champion like me too.

It wouldn't change anytime that happened, but surely will make you feel better, I guarantee.

As we walked through the cold Route 30, I had feeling, a very funny one. but I was excited to, I wanted to catch the Mew and this time I had my master ball in my hand.

I ran forward, following Ditto, who slimed through the dirt. Lyra was right beside me. But Bugsy, he stopped right outside the cave.

I suddenly stopped to ask Bugsy why he wasn't going in. Our eyes met and he gestured his hands towards the cave, asking me to continue.

I nodded and walked inside. Lyra and Ditto stood a few meters from me.

'This way', said Lyra, pointing towards Ditto, who started rushing as soon as I got there.

I tightened my fist to get a firm grip over the master ball and followed them.

Ditto was way faster than I imagined, his slimy body gave him an advantage over friction. The Earth seemed frictionless while Ditto slimed.

The cave was dark, Ditto was now barely visible to me. I followed Lyra, who was still in my line of sight.

Water leaking and dripping sounds could be heard, our footsteps were echoing and Ditto's slimy movement was loud, making a 'slaz' sound.

Suddenly, Lyra stopped and I crashed into her. She looked back at me, rubbing her face.

'Watch it', she said, quickly. She walked a little further and a white light was seen.

She peeked towards from where the light was coming. 'Clowns ?', she whispered and advanced towards the lights.

I quickly rushed after her.

Inside was an open area, not a very big one. It was kind of dark and in the centre was a pile of junk. The place gave me creeps and smelled as bad as a sewer.

'Hurry up', said a familiar female voice.

'Hey, I don't have super speed', said a familiar male voice.

Lyra couldn't stop herself, she stood in front of them. 'Who are you two ?', she asked.

'Um, I'm Pennywise, the dancing.....', said the male clown in a very creepy high pitched voice.

'Zip it', said the female clown with an old American accent.

'Do you want a balloon ?', asked the male voice, then chuckled.

'They are creepy', I said, I started having goosebumps in every part of my body.

'I am not afraid of you two. What are you ? Why are you here ?', asked Lyra.

'Oh, the storm blew us away, blew the whole circus away. Can you smell the circus ? Peanuts, popsicles, cotton candy, and....?', said the male clown.

'Pitt Cola ? I love them', said Lyra. 'Yummy, peach flavoured'.

'No, you had to say Popcorn', said the male clown, disappointed.

'Fail', said the female clown, laughing at the male clown.

'Why Popcorn ?', I asked.

'Because they, pop ! Pop, pop ! Pop, pop !', said the male clown.

These clowns were annoying, I wondered what they were doing there. I realised that there were people, floating above the big pile of junk.

I stared continuously. 'Why are you clowns here ?'.

'We are not clowns, we are Pennywise... Penny...Pennywi...Pennywises', said the male clown.

'And what is that again ?', asked Lyra.

'You kids don't watch movies ?', asked the male clown.

'Oh, crap. We are three years in advance, the movie hasn't been released yet', said the female clown.

'Darn it, kids, come with us and you'll float too, you'll float too, you'll float too', said the male clown.

'What did you do to them ?', I asked.

Lyra seemed really scared now, which was contradictory as she only said that she wasn't afraid.

'Don't worry, they're not dead. Yet', said the female clown.

'What are you saying ?', whispered the male clown to the female male clown.

'Come with us', said the male clown. 'And you'll float too'.

'Stop it Butch', said the female clown, annoyed.

I knew it, they were the of Team Rocket Grunts, Cassidy and Butch.

'Cassidy and Butch. I thought you wanted to leave Team Rocket', I said.

'You know these idiots ?', asked Lyra.

'Idiots ? We have a good fanbase, people like Team Rocket', said Cassidy, tearing off her clown outfit and revealing her black Team Rocket clothes.

'Cassidy, we are just for comic releif', whispered Butch.

'No, no, no. We are more than that now', said Cassidy. 'We are not theives now, we serve a purpose'.

'Right', said Butch, tearing off his clown outfit. 'Go Houndour'.

'What is that ?', I asked, pointing the Pokedex towards the Pokemon.

'Houndour, the Dark Pokemon. To corner prey, they check each other's location using barks that only they can understand', explained the Pokedex.

'Go Misdreavus', said Cassidy, sending out her Pokemon.

'Let me do the honours', said Lyra, pointing her Pokedex towards the Pokemon.

'Misdreavus, the Screech Pokemon.
It likes playing mischievous tricks, such as screaming and wailing to startle people at night', explained the Pokedex.

'Okay then, I choose Ditto', I said, Ditto slimed forward.

'Go Marill-', said Lyra, looking at Marill, who was still sleeping on her shoulder. 'Never mind, go Chikorita'.

'Ditto, Transform', I said. Ditto changed its shape to what Houndour had. But he was still purple. Suddenly, his body shone and he now looked like Houndour completely.

'Chikorita, use Razor Leaf', said Lyra, pointing her hand at Misdreavus.

'Houndour, use Ember', said Butch. Houndour didn't listen to Butch.

Ditto and Houndour clashed and used the same attacks at each other.

Meanwhile, Lyra was trying hard to defeat Cassidy's Misdreavus.

'Misdreavus, use Astonish', said Cassidy.

Ditto fainted. Houndour was strong.

'Come back, Ditto. Go Jolteon', I said.

'Houndour, use Flame Wheel', said Butch.

'Jolteon, use Thunder', I said, and Jolteon sent a powerful strike over the Houndour.

Misdreavus and Houndour fainted at the same time.

'Cassidy, are we left with any Pokemon ?', asked Butch.

'Go Drowsee', said Cassidy. Drowsee was standing far away and wasn't noticable.

He walked forward. 'Drowsee, use Confuse Ray'.

As Drowsee used his attack. All the floating people started falling to the ground. I realised those weren't people, those were Pokemon that Drowsee kept captive with it's Psychic abilities.

The Pokemon were falling and falling and were a few meters from the ground now. I was unable to do anything.

Suddenly, a pink aura surrounded the Pokemon and they stopped in mid air.

A Mew came from nowhere and slowly made them float down to safety.

Mew transformed into a Gengar and used Shadow Ball on Drowsee.

Drowsee fainted. Mew snapped it's fingers and the Team Rocket Grunts vanished. I was sure Mew didn't erase them from existence but it teleported them elsewhere.

Mew flew towards me and was in front of my face. In my hand, was my Master Ball, and I still hesitated to catch the Mew.

Mew looked at the Master Ball. I had tears in my eyes, and the ball slipped from my hands to the ground.

Mew picked up the Master Ball, I had no idea how it even touched the ball without going inside.

It opened the small zip of my bag and put the ball inside, then closed the zip.

Then again it came up to my face and said ,'Mew !', then flew away. The Pokemon ran after the Mew.

Lyra stared at me in confusion. We called our Pokemon back inside.

'Why didn't you catch it ?', asked Lyra.

'I don't know, I had this strange feeling, that I shouldn't. Mew is a legendary Pokemon, last of it's kind', I said. 'And it deserves to choose a right owner for itself'.

'You're right', said Lyra, every Pokemon does.

We walked back outside. Bugsy was no more there. We looked around to see if he was nearby.

Suddenly, he came running from a distance and stopped.

He bent to loosen his back, and breathe heavily.

'Where were you ?', asked Lyra.

'Nowhere, just jogging', said Bugsy, in a weird tone. 'Violet City is that way'.

Meanwhile....

Cassidy - Where are we ?
Butch - I don't know, it's dark in here.

(Alarms ringing loud)

Male voice - What are you two doing here ?
Cassidy and Butch - Giovanni ?
