Looker's POV

"Looker! What a pleasant surprise!" Oak walked towards me, smiling. He then welcomed me inside and made me sit on a couch. His lab was as clean as always. "What brings you here?"

"Um, I was asked to-" I said, stopping myself, Oak would never call me Looker. He was one of my closest and he would only call me by my real name. "Who are you? Where is Samuel?"

Suddenly, a voice came from behind. "Sabrina, how many times have I asked you not to do that?" I looked around, Oak was now standing behind me in the same lab coat, and a red t-shirt.

"Oh, Han, how are you?" He said. I was confused, then I looked around only to find Sabrina, the Fuschia gym leader.

"You know Sabrina, she is the Saffron City gym leader." Said Oak. Okay correction, I thought she was Fuschia gym leader.

"She can transform?" I asked.

"No!" Said Sabrina. "I can't. I can just make an aura around me, which would make an illusion that I look like something else, or someone."

Interesting, after knowing that parallel universes exist as well as time travel, I was ready to beleive anything.

"Oak, I was asked to come here by someone." I said. "The man is against Team Rocket, Giovanni works under him, but the man says he wants to end Giovanni. He attempted to kill Charles and he wears a mask, so gis identity is unknown."

Oak looked at me, confused. "That's a lot to take in. And why did the man asked you to come here?"

"He says you can somehow help me, to go back in time and get more information on Giovanni secretly." I said. "I know this sounds stupid-"

"It's not." Said Oak, staring at Sabrina. "Yes, the man is right. I beleive that's the only way to successfully catch Giovanni."

"But, Professor." Said Sabrina. "Wouldn't it change the flow of time, like Red did."

"No, Red made a huge change, but if Looker disguises himself and stay hidden, it just might work." Said Oak.

Oak was ready to do it. He advised me some of the basic rules I had to follow otherwise I'll end up messing up the time and cause something called the paradox.

"Han, think of the time you want to go to, think about the date when the Goldenrod City incident happened. Which was April the 19th. "

I thought about it, I pictured Goldenrod City in my mind and sunken my mind into the thought. I pictured myself standing near the city, but something diverted my attention and I started thinking about Azalea Town.

Oak handed me the GS Ball.

A blinding light was seen and suddenly I found myself in Azalea Town. I could hear Pidgeys chirping in a distance, and hoppips floating.

The wind was harsh and it's sound rubbed my ears, I pandiculated while looking at the evening sky, partially filled with stars.

"I need a disguise." I walked through the streets, trying my best to hide my face and searched for a shop where I could buy some clothes.

I realised I would not be able to purchase through my credit card, I checked my wallet to see what I had.

After entering the clothes shop, I didn't have enough money to buy everything, so I did the most obvious thing, I purchased a black hoodie.

I wore the hoodie and got rid of my long brown coat, just so you know I didn't throw it, I kept it in a room in the Pokecenter.

I had a funny feeling in my stomach, while I walked through the Ilex forest. The forest was damp, as if it had rained just yesterday, water began to fill inside my shoes.

Suddenly, the sky flashed purple in color, for a few seconds it seemed as if I was in a science fiction film. It was almost the time when it started, I had figure out what Giovanni was planning, and this was my chance.

I need to hide the GS ball - I thought. It would be terrible if I messed this up. I remember Red telling me about a hideout in Goldenrod, I must find where it is.

I couldn't find a place to hide the GS Ball. I was in a forest with lots of similar trees, there was no way I could hide it somewhere without someone else finding it.

I saw a shovel kept in a distance and I knew just what to do. Bury the ball! - I said to myself.

I reached and grabbed the shovel. I knew just the place to bury the GS ball. I zipped the hoodie upto my chest and put the hood on, slightly covering my face.

Thud! I started digging a hole in front of the Ilex forest Shrine. The plan was perfect, no one could stop me from obtaining evidence against Giovanni.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of a twig. My heart almost stopped, what if it was some Team Rocket Grunt. I put my hand inside my pocket and grasped the GS ball and looked around.

A girl, walked out from the back of a bush. I stared at her, the face was very familiar, I had seen her before, possibly on television.

By the look of her clothes, she was clearly a Pokemon trainer. She radiated confidence from within her. Along came two more trainers whose faces I couldn't see because of the utter darkness.

I had to make something up. Pokemon Trainers these days suspect people too easily. I had to get away from them.

"Uh, I was praying for my dead Raticate." I said, in a cold tone, trying my best to hide my face. "I came here to bury her."

The girl in teal exchanged looks with the girl wearing whitish clothes, due to the darkness I couldn't really tell her color.

I looked at the boy standing in the middle, he stepped towards me and moonlight touched his face, revealing who he was.

Red was standing right in front of me. I could just hand him the GS ball. I was about to lift my hood but one of the girls asked, "What was her name?"

I couldn't think of a name. "Uh. Um." I stammered. "Red, is that you?" I changed the topic. The boy couldn't move, he was probably still processing my voice to recognise me but it was no luck.

"Red, do you know him?" Said the girl in teal. But the trainer couldn't recognise me.

"You are Red, right? Who cam second in Indigo League? And, you do not recognise me?" I asked, I was messing everything up.

What if these kids were the ones who came from Earth-2? It was very stupid of me to say all of that.

"Second? Whoa!" Exclaimed the girl in white which now seemed a bit yellow.

"No." The trainer said.

"Forget whatever I said. Forget everything. And pretend none of this happened." I said, probably messing my first time travel trip, now completely.

"Well we are going to. We don't even belong here." Said the girl in yellow, giggling. I was right, they are the kids from Earth-2.

The kids walked away, chatting. I quickly grabbed the GS ball out of my pockets and buried it right in front of the Shrine.

I didn't know what to do from then on. I had no idea where the Team Rocket hideout was. All I knew was it was somewhere in north-western side of Goldenrod.

"I shouldn't have done this." I said, jogging calmly to the city.

Giovanni's POV

I had to do something about Charles. I had ordered him not to bring the other universe's Team Rocket, now if something bad happens and my plan get blown up, Charles is going to repay the price.

I had to do something about Charles, he was a menace. I specifically told him not to take orders from Masked Man or whoever he was. I had some idea of his true identity.

But Charles, it's an outrage, he can't just pretend being the bad guy on my orders?

"Sir, you had asked for Goldenrod's signatures." Said one of the scientists. I had asked them to scan the city for any unusual signatures, as the other universe's Team Rocket could be here any minute.

"What did you find?"

He placed a file at my desk. "This is from the last hour sir. I've been looking at it again and again." He started pointing at a purple color on Goldenrod. "Here, you can see the dark matter signatures which means the portal had already been activated and probably they have arrived."

"Then we need to move as soon as possible." I said, putting my gun in my pocket and standing up, I started walking to the door when the scientist stopped me.

"Sir, another thing. It's not in Goldenrod, but-"

"What is it?" I asked, curiously. He grabbed out a piece of paper from his pocket and showed me the signatures of some other city.

"This is the dark matter signatures of Azalea Town." He said, pointing at a green color with gold and silver borders. "Somehow dark matter was present there for a second, just a second."

It was impossible. I knew exactly why the dark matter was there, but who had it. Who had the GS ball?

I had no option except for ignoring the fact that the GS ball was here. "C'mon let's go, send all the executives."

Looker's POV

I found it! The Goldenrod City Team Rocket Hideout, I followed a grunt to this place, it was under the Game Corner, quite similar to the one in Celadon City.

I managed to sneak inside without getting noticed. It was empty, no one was there, except of course the grunt I had followed.

This was my chance, I quickly rushed to a computer and inserted my flash drive. In a matter of seconds, I was carrying two terabytes of Team Rocket resources and information.

I hid the flash drive in the pocket on the inner side of my hoodie.

"Look what we have here." Said a grunt. I looked behind only to see three Team Rocket Grunts. "People have started finding our hideouts."

All of them walked to me casually. "What do we do to intruders?"

I tried to make a run for it. But they managed to sleep-dart me. And I was fast asleep.

I woke up, distortion filled my ears, I was dizzy, I had to get out of there somehow or else it was a big mess if any of the grunts find out who I was. That would just ruin everything.

"You know your mind has been bugged, Bugsy!" Said a very familiar voice.

"Red, shut your mouth, I'm trying to think." Said another voice.

"Think what?" Red asked.

"Do you wanna get outta here or not? Don't be such a dork." Said Bugsy, the Azalea Gym Leader. I tried to see where these voices were coming from.

Both were, like me, locked up in a cell next to me. "Well if you have figured a way out, let me put with ya." I said, I thought I would faint any second.

My shoes were very annoying, as they still had water filled inside of them. I removed them and threw them away.

"Looker!" Exclaimed Red. "What are you-"

"Listen to me. Just help me get out of here, I'll come back with my officers to arrest Petrel and Proton, got it?" I said.

Bugsy used his belt to pull a table where their Pokeballs were kept. In a matter of seconds, the kid managed to slash his way out of the cell using a Scyther and a Kabutops.

Red asked his Ditto to transform into a Team Rocket Grunt and we walked outside, very conveniently.

"Thank you." I said, running away, obviously trying not to reveal anything else. I had to get back to the GS ball. Good thing I decided to hide it, else it'd be a problem.

"Ight Imma head out." I whispered, sighing.

Giovanni's POV

"Um, wait a second." I said, calling the scientist back. "Scan again, would you?"

"Sure sir." He said, walking back to his lab. I waited in my office for a few minutes. He walked back inside with another file. "You won't believe it."

He opened the file and pulled out the chart. "We saw a green colored dark matter energy earlier, with gold and silver borders?"

"Yeah." I said, reassuring.

"I scanned Azalea again. And I found nothing, then I scanned Goldenrod, and saw the same old purple color. Until now, I scanned the place between these two cities."

"Ilex forest?" I asked. "What is it? Come to the point." My heart beat faster.

"Here, give it a look." He showed me the signatures in Ilex forest. I did not see the green color but I saw the gold and silver ring at one point. "It's moving sir."

"It's in Ilex forest?" I asked.

"In Ilex forest, right in front of the Shrine."

Looker's POV

I ran as fast as I could back to Ilex forest. This little manuever could've cost me a whole timeline. From next time, if there's any, I'll take care of things like not talking to people.

Who knows, I could've changed the timeline. Maybe when I get back Giovanni's the king of all regions. Maybe I'm a ragpicker or maybe Donald Trump is the president of the United States. The funny part is no one would ever know but me.

I started digging in front of the Shrine to obtain the GS ball. Suddenly, a gun cocking sound was heard from behind me.

"Now let's see who you are." Said Charles. I turned around to see the fake Team Rocket Boss. "Well, well, well. Looker's here. So you have the ball? How?"

My heart had stopped, as well as my brain. I had no idea what I had to do. If only I could grab the GS ball for once, I'll be gone before he takes another word out of hia mouth.

I bent down to reach the hole.

"No, no." Charles pointed his gun at me. "You're not going anywhere. Let's see what promotion I get if I kill the one person who wants to destroy Giovanni."

Charles slowly pulled the trigger. I accepted that this was the end.

Shoot!

Charles was shot in his back and fell to the ground. Giovanni stood right in front me, between us, lied Charles' dead body.

"Nice shot, eh?" Said Giovanni. "Now, where is it? The GS ball? How did you get it?"

"You killed him?" I asked. I was devastated, if not for my iffy actions, none of this would've happened. I shouldn't have come here in the first place. It's my fault that Charles is no more, it will surely have huge consequences on the flow of time, just like Oak said.

I looked down, the ball was visible inside the hole. I had to protect the ball from Giovanni at all costs, how does even Giovanni know about the ball?

"I'm asking you, last time." Said Giovanni. "If I kill you it won't affect my time." He gave an evil smile. "So tell me."

"It's in my pocket." I lied, I put my hand in the pocket. Giovanni stopped me.

"Let me do the honours." He said, coming towards me, his gun still pointed at me.

I backed off a bit and kicked his hand in which he held the gun, disarming him. I quickly reached to the ground.

I thought about the time I came back here. Oak's lab, Sabrina, the month August, everything that had happened the day from when I travelled.

I touched the ball.

"Why wasn't he able to go?" Said Sabrina. I was back in Oak's lab. I sat down on the chair next to me, panting.

"He came back." Said Oak. "Han, how was it?"

"WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS BALL? WHERE DID YOU GET IT? AND HOW DOES GIOVANNI KNOW ABOUT IT?" I shouted at Oak in anger.

"For research, the ball has something in it that enables it to time travel. Red found it somewhere near the Rock tunnel and gave it to me last year." Oak looked shocked. "What do you mean Giovanni knows about it?"

"He knows about the ball. He called it the GS ball. He already knew I was there." I said.

"Did something happen there?" Asked Oak, worried. "Have something changed?"

"Giovanni killed Charles." I said.

"Oh my god." Said Sabrina. "So this was just a bad idea. You must've changed everything Looker."

"Things here seem fine to me." I said. "But I'll have to go out there to see what else has changed. Starting with your t-shirt. You were wearing a red one Oak, not pink."

"That doesn't matter. I pick whatever I find first. Which means for some reason I put the pink on in the dryer first to wash it." Said Oak. "Anyways, as soon as I know what's making the GS ball one of the most powerful thing in the universe, I'll destroy the ball. Reminds me, did you get any information?"

"Tons of." I said, showing Oak the flash drive.

He smiled.
