Red's POV

This takes me back to when I encountered Orchid on my journey through Cerulean Cave. The sounds, the smells, the sight of it all. It was all very familiar of a time when I would take charge in capturing the most powerful Pokémon in the region. My starter Pokémon Charizard Mega Evolved into the very beast that took down Orchid originally, I was prepared to use this form against theirs. I felt ready now that I had Charizard on my side. This was my chance to save everyone and to make a path for Red and Leaf to make it back to their home planet.

"Red, Leaf! I am going to fight Mewtwo and clear a path for you to head back to the tower."

"But what about you?" Inquired Leaf softly.

"I'll handle him, Bugsy can you accompany them?" I inquired.

The purple haired bug catcher nodded from my plea. After tying the string-shot around Proton's back.

"You got it," said Bugsy.

"You stay right where you are, Team Rocket." Gestured Bugsy with a wagging disapproving finger. Yellow the Tom Sawyer looking fellow. Hopped out of the back of the van towards me. Eyeing me with intent, like he had been emotionally distraught through all of this.

"Please Red, I need you to save him. He is not able to control himself. Team Rocket has him under their whim with that helmet."

"You can count on me; I'll take that helmet off him and free him from their prison, now go, there is no time, we've got to turn the power back on. IF we don't, you guys will be stuck on my world for a while!"

"Thank you!" Bowed Yellow in respect.

Everyone before me filed out of the van once Bugsy had freed them from their bounds and launched themselves as a team swiftly toward their objective. This path before them was dangerous and there was no way everyone would be able to make it, unless I acted rationally.

"You can't beat us! We are Giovanni's Executives! We'll have what we want—

"Stop talking Proton." I assured to the whiny Executive next to me.

"If you want to live from being thrashed by your own creation then keep your mouth shut."

Mewtwo's power was glowing with vapid intensity. His powerful light emitting from the bubble surrounding him had bounced light along the golden alleyways and buildings around us. Charizard was huffing and flapping his wings. Anxiously awaiting my order to strike him.

He's got a shield around him, however that shield was not going to last long once it was hit with physical attacks. If we want to accomplish defeating him in one go. We'll need to open those shields and I'll need to divert Mewtwo's path from where they are in proximity to him.

Just as soon as Mewtwo began to summon a dark ionic colored ball from within his palms. I whistled for Charizard to take flight.

"Bill can I count on you with making sure our enemy doesn't escape!"

"I'll be here when the Interpol arrives."

I nodded and focused my attention toward my opponent.

"Let's go!" I shouted vigorously as the dragon launched his hind legs up in the air. The mounting pressure from the wind blasting from Charizard's wings pushed the van and several of Team Rocket's posse several feet away from the vicinity.

I did my best to maintain a stable leg on Charizard's back and held onto his corners of his behind to remain still. Gesturing intently for my Pokémon to fly towards our enemy as swiftly as possible.

"Fly."

"Grrrrawwww!!" He roared with intense fury as the beast flapped his wings. Blowing fire from both his nostrils and mouth intent for a fight. I could tell Charizard was mad and that he had been aching for a long time

"When you defeat him Charizard, you get a treat."

Mewtwo released his shadow ball towards my group. Propelling it with such precision that everyone was unprepared for what was coming.

"Charizard Fire-Blast, stop it from reaching the group !"

The beast bellowed out a humanoid like flame that dislodged the shadow ball toward another building. The explosion from that move caused such incredible devastation that I was worried that the debris from that move would have potentially injured them.

Mewtwo was not amused. He turned to face me and my Pokémon, his helmet glowed from the intense flames arising from the destruction below him. Wagging his tail back and forth as he maintained himself from within the bubble before us.

"Charizard let's do it again buddy, just like old times, Hyper Beam !"

My Pokémon perked his wings up in the air as fire and energy gathered from within my lizard's mouth. The powerful move escalated as the air became thick around me. The power of this light was drawn in. Charizard held the beam from within like holding in a bunch of jawbreakers.

"Now!"

The beast bellowed out a powerful light that flew heavily toward the ground. This pillar of light was what I used to try to defeat Orchid from before. As it permeated the ground striking through several buildings and knocking them all down in succession. Charizard used his head to pull this heavy light as leverage and direct it towards Mewtwo. He was struck from the outside, however, this was not enough to damage him, nor bring him down.

He's a tough one, however I am not going to give up. I've nearly broken his shield I just have to move in and break that helmet. Something else was coming, something I was not prepared to face.

Mewtwo zipped out of our view so suddenly that it was impossible to see where he was. There was a strange pressure coming from above.

"What is that?".

There was nothing stopping the power of this Pokémon as the Psychic energy it emitted from above us had pushed us down toward the ground. Charizard was furiously flapping his wings to maintain elevation. It was in vain however, as the mounting pressure from his move had thrown us directly against the pavement below us.

We slammed body first and the impact of this move had thrown brick and debris all around us. I gripped onto Charizard's wings good and tight to make sure I maintained composure and didn't fall off.

"Are you alright Charizard!?" I shouted for his attention.

My Pokémon nodded to let me know he was in good spirits.

"Listen buddy, we need to go for his helmet. He's at full power with that on and we need to destroy it."

Charizard twitched his claws and eyed his opponent with frustration. He and I were in sync, but we weren't going to accomplish this without taking that helmet off him.

"Once more Charizard, let's destroy his shield, after his shield is gone, we'll blast him!"

"Grraawwweerrr!"

He's running out of energy; I can sense it. There is only time on our side, until Bugsy makes it to the Radio Tower, they will never be able to make it home. It was fight or flight, however, I've been in situations like this before when times called for desperate measures.

We are going to win! I'm going to be best Pokémon trainer in the world, and I'll do it by defeating you...

Mewtwo.

Yellow's POV
[Pokemon Leaf Chronicles]

My heart began to break after hearing the incessant cries of the Mewtwo above me. Leaf, Red, Lyra, Bugsy and Yellow could tell that my tears and my weak panting as I ran alongside them have been too deafening. There was no reason for me to be feeling this way but that was my gift and it was my curse.

I could feel this Pokémon's anger, the hatred he could feel towards us humans. It was all too apparent for anyone but me to notice. He wants to be free; he wants to be let go from all the poison they are feeding him from inside his head.

Was there any way to stop him from rampaging the city while at the same time help him control his powers when he is free?

This Pokémon is so hurt I can tell just by hearing all the thoughts he is sending my way. The infinite rage and the lack of will power was what this Pokémon hated the most. A corrupt organization that is doing the bidding of their known leader Giovanni was my chance to avenge for this Pokémon and set him free.

He was created in a laboratory, his genes altered to make him different from both Pokémon and humans alike. But I know him better than anyone. I know that he has a soul, I know that he wants to be let go from the shackles that are placing him in this very situation. Yet, I can't do a damn thing about it.

Stopping alongside with my friends for a breath of fresh air and allowing the tears to course out my eyes. I knew that my moment to help this Pokémon was useless.

"I was told that we would save him, that we would set him free?" I cried with incessance.

Dropping to my knees, everyone around me all looked concerned, including Red, Leaf and Lyra.

"Look—uh, I know you care about him, but now is not the time. We've got to get you all back home." Assured Bugsy. "That and I need a shower from all this soot."

"Why can't I do anything for him? Why can't I help him, why do I feel so powerless—

"You are not powerless!" Shouted the other Yellow kneeling right next to me.

"You are a very special Pokémon trainer and I know that you can help him."

"I can hear his cries, hear his pleas, his pain—

"It's all not in vain, listen, I have a Mewtwo that I need to reunite with up into that tower as well." She gestured my eyeline toward the tower that has heaved its way above the clouds. Tears streaming down her face as she is doing her best to restrain her own emotions.

"He is sending me a telepathic communication to you Yellow. He's going to save him, no matter what, he will save him. Orchid doesn't just make promises that he can't keep, he means it."

"How do you know?" I inquired with sincere interest.

"He talks to me as well." She said.

"You can communicate with Pokémon too?" I inquired.

"Just him, however, he understands your feelings for this Pokémon and when we break him free. We'll all set him free, I promise."

"I didn't know that I had a chance."

"Not without Orchid, Yellow," Assured Leaf.

"We need to keep moving there is someone that we need to confront when we get there." Said Bugsy.

Yellow reached out her hand towards mine, gingerly holding mine tight as she pulled me up from off the ground. I was clearly a mess, but even I could see that she was just as concerned for her own Mewtwo. There was so much that was similar between us, our care for our Pokémon was just as absolute.

"Thank you for helping me deal with those voices."

"We all have demons that we have to face, let's face them together." She smiled.

I nodded back to her after her warm gesture.

"Right!" I shouted as I wiped the tears from my face.

Each of us continued our trek back towards the tower from when we arrived. The sky was tumbling about the darkness as lightning pulsed about and pouring rain fell among us. People and Pokémon alike were all being hit in the city limits from these ruthless attacks. We needed to hurry back to our world, otherwise this conflict would bring theirs into even greater danger.

Looker's POV

Walking up the steps of the second floor of the building I could tell it was dark. Using the torchlight that I carried with me was enough for me to see a certain point of range from within the room. However, there was very little that I could visualize it was all pretty dark and restrictive.

"Anyone here?"

There was no response, however that didn't stop me from being ready to battle when the need allowed. I released a Pokémon that I knew would be helpful in being able to detect enemies using sonar.

"Zubat c'mon out!" I shouted.

"Zuuu!" Chittered the teal green bat.

"Growl if you hear any enemies nearby."

The creature nodded back to my command.

Shining the light around I could see what looked to be a studio booth and a couple of computer mainframes all lined along desks. It seems that there were people that were working in this tower at one time when Charles took over.

No doubt he's probably near the very top of this facility. Now for Archer and Ariana, I need to find them and release them so that we can bring this facility's power back on. Here goes nothing.

As I walked up toward the fourth floor, I noticed a couple of cubicles that were somewhat enclosed in a small corner of the room.

"Hmmm.. Curious." I thought out loud.

Navigating through the debris and furniture scattered about, I could tell that Team Rocket certainly did a number on this place. But the fact that there were several cubicles that were already enclosed on themselves still didn't leave the forefront of my mind.

I reached in to pull them out, but I knew that there was something severely wrong with them.

"They are quite heavy, Zubat, Fury-Cutter now!" I shouted.

"Zuuu!" Squeaked my little echolocator. As he used his wings to slash across the seams of the rather cheaply made but sturdy material. Both walls came crashing down from below and who would-a-thunk? Ariana and Archer were laying in two of those cubicles. Tied up but separated from each other.

"They must have done a number to keep you two separated now didn't they? Rainbow Rocket."

I reached in to pull the tape off Ariana's mouth and what did I expect, I got an earful from Ariana.

"What does an Interpol agent like you seem to be doing in Team Rocket's jurisdiction. Archer is my pal and they decided to separate us? How cruel and unusual! And that mask of yours, how terrifying!"

Then when I still expected it, I got another earful this time from her partner Archer as I pulled some tape from off his mouth as well.

"Mmm—ah! I am going to kill him! Whoever this Proton, Petrel dude is! I'll kill them!"

"Very funny—now I'll need your guys' help with making sure we open up the portal."

"Portal?!" They all exclaimed with quirked heads.

"What exactly is the portal that you refer to?"

"Yeah—not like we don't know what that portal is... I'll see myself outside—

I stopped Archer from running towards the staircase as my hand caught hold of his shoulder.

"Listen up soldiers, we need to bring this place back to life. Is there a place that we can go to make sure we turn the power back on?"

"How does turning the power back on help bring the portal open asked Arianna?"

"We don't open the portal by using power, the energy waves emitted from the tower will allow the rippling effect to occur. Once we open the dimensions of spacetime—

"English please!"

"Think of this tower like a tuning fork, once the building begins bouncing signals around the atmosphere it will create an effect like an aurora borealis where the sky will atomize and create a slip space—

"Do we trust a regular police officer that is hiding his face under a mask?" Whispered Archer.

"I don't know you tell me—

"Something's fishy about this guy, he's probably going to arrest us when he has the chance—

"Nah—I'll arrest you later, I need someone of your talents to try and put a stop to Team Rocket and their plans."

There was no time, Mewtwo is destroying the city, Red is out there on his own countering the threat as the most powerful Pokémon is under their control.

"Show me to the power generator, we need to turn this tower back on, once we make it out of the building. I'll be bringing in a squad from the Pokémon International Police to remedy the situation."

Proton's POV
[Pokémon Leaf Chronicles]

There was no better feeling than to realize that we had won. We had obtained the sample that we needed. Red and the rest of their gang may have felt like they had won but we are just getting started. Once the portal opens, all hell will break loose. Giovanni will have his sample and there will be nothing stopping what will be coming in our world.

"Keke! Those fools, they are struggling to save their precious Goldenrod City and they are running to open the portal for nothing."

"I would remain quiet if I were you." Said Bill with sharp tone.

"You remind me of the one we have in our world, pathetic! Always stepping on our toes whenever necessary. You and your partner Professor Oak making the world a better place! There is no peace in this world or in yours. Forget your place! —

"Sssh!! It's because of you that we weren't able to get hamburgers." Said Petrel tied up in the same string shot as me.

"Absolutely not now Petrel, I don't care how hungry you are we aren't getting hamburgers!"

"Awe."

In any case, we've accomplished our mission. If they can't allow us to go back into the portal and they throw us in the slammer. Then it was a sacrifice we were willing to take.

"Hehe!"

Little do they know that the sample is with one of our Grunts who are scattered around the city. They will never be able to find them.

Leaf's POV
[Pokémon Leaf Chronicles]

Bugsy and the rest of the gang arrived at the main entrance of the Radio Tower once again. Hoping that we wouldn't get kidnapped like before, I made sure that we were in the clear from other enemies around us. Raising my Poke ball in front of me, ready to release my friends from their capsules in case danger was near.

"I am not looking forward to being bound like that from them again. So uncivilized." I declared with protest.

The purple haired bug catcher joined up with me near the entrance of the tower and looked up at the spire. Gazing upon its magnificence as the structure winded it's way high above the storm clouds. This was the reason to be here in the happening place of the big city. It's a building that was well known for tourist sites back on my home world.

"Once again, this tall thingy is the one thing we need on in order to get you all back home."

"How would we turn the power back on?" Inquired Lyra with wide eyes while wandering aimlessly in the darkness beside us.

"Is there a power station nearby—

"No need, all commercial buildings like this one have a Generator hidden from within." Assured Bugsy to the crew.

"But how would we be able to find it?" Probed Lyra.

"Easy!"

"There is an employee only door near the back of the main floor. If we turn on the switch, we'll be able to go through it."

"Yeah well, the problem is the switch, it's not going to turn on, at least not on its own without the power being back on." I clarified.

"Not a problem, seems like someone else was able to get inside anyways." He said while investigating the damaged door frame before him.

"No way! Someone seems to have the same idea as us? Could be the Team Rocket of our world's doing?"

We needed to be cautious, it appeared that Team Rocket was down there. Seemed we were destined to fight them regardless. Meandering our way carefully down the stairs we could hear feint noises. Almost like a loud bang or slash was being exchanged.

"Are we walking into a battle?".

"Get ready!" I shouted with fervor as Red, Bugsy, Yellow one and Yellow two all had their Poke balls ready.

When we reached the bottom of the staircase, we observed one Team Rocket member against a couple of Executives or what they called Rainbow Rockets. I beheld them duking it out and to my horror these Rocket's were fighting against the very Team Rocket members who are associated with the name, Charles. These Rainbow Executives that were opposing them seemed to be the good guys or vigilantes who had a prescribed vendetta against their organization. I was uncertain if we were to trust them, however they were are only in of being able to get to the Generator going quickly in time.

Raising up my Poke ball I tossed it vigorously across the polished tile floor beneath me. The echoing thick plastic unhinged the tip and released my Ivysaur from within.

"Whoah! That's a nice Pokémon you got their Leaf!" Said Lyra with quirked amusement.

"Thank you! His name is Ivy!" I smirked.

"Go Marill" Shouted Lyra to the right of me.

"Who are you brats!" Shouted the Team Rocket member with short stubby legs left opposite of his tall slender companion.

"Charles will not be happy about the fact that you all made a mess on our plans!" Shouted the tall nerdy slender grunt.

"Looker?" Questioned Bugsy.

"What the heck are you doing here?" He asked.

The tall thin man veiled in front of a fox like kabuki style mask. White on the outside and red trim on the corners. Adorning what I observed to be a detective's garb with a long tan outfit. Gave Bugsy a look of exhaustion.

"Saving the world as usual."

"Not cool, I was going to do something cool but then your old people show up and cramp our style—

"Ah-c'mon that's no way to treat an old man. You need to respect your elders occasionally. Archer and Ariana are here to help me activate the generator to bring power back on for the tower. Your problem is the Team Rocket members before you."

He's right, they have a Koffing and a Raticate. They should be easy to take out. However, the next step in the plan is to immobilize them.

"How many of them are there Looker?" I inquired.

"Just the two before you, they put up a pretty good fight originally, but Archer and Arianna were able to successfully bring a few of their Pokémon down. A tag team would do nicely." He nodded with content.

"Oh, we'll beat them for sure! Ivy Stun Spore now!"

Ivy leaped forward, raising his bulb towards his target it trembled with fury. Releasing a large powdery like substance that sprinkled from above that filtered through Koffing's porous holes that exhaust his internal smoke. The round purple spike like creature fell to the floor. His energy weakened from the move. However, Raticate was able to avoid the move quite well. Dodging every particle that was released from my Pokémon.

"I got this one Leaf! Marill Bubble go!" The young girl declared with fervor.

The small round blue mouse inhaled quite a bit of air that was being cumbered into his soft white cream like belly and exhaled a ton of bubbles directly toward his target. The rat like creature was not fast enough to avoid the onslaught of bubbles that came directly toward him and exploded with concussive force. Blasting the rat back against the thin grunt in front of us.

The other Team Rocket Grunt was absolutely stunned that we were able to take down their fastest fighter so easily.

"Ah! Who the heck are you people!"

"We're Pokémon trainers! And we are going to get back home." I raised with confidence.

"Now step aside before anyone else get's hurt further." Commanded Lyra.

"You're pretty good for a trainer. Did you learn a thing or too from Red?" I asked to the small girl with a cute round fluffy hat. She looked back at me and gave me this adorable wide grin.

"I joined my cousin on the journey. Though I've learned a thing or too about Pokémon battling. I've mostly learned to train on my own while earning Gym badges."

"That's quite the skill to have learned. I too am learning as I go with my friends." I reaffirmed with a smile.

"Thank you, you're not half bad yourself girl." She giggled.

"Ariana, Archer, tie these two Grunts up immediately. We'll need to hurry and activate the Generator in order to bring the Radio Tower live." Commanded Looker.

"Right away!" They shouted in Unison as they retrieved their Pokémon. I barely caught a glimpse of them, Archer had a Houndoom a Pokémon that looked like half dog and demon. With a red glow around his dark fur and two horns protruding from his head. Ariana had an Arbok a large cobra looking creature with fangs and a scary looking facial pattern imbued inside the Pokémon's hood. But these Rainbow Rocket duos used some rather powerful Pokémon to take on their foes. They very well could have had a chance to defeat the Grunts even without our help.

"Looker!" Shouted the girl Yellow from the sidelines.

The man turned to face the girl. Her distraught demeanor and her gritting posture showed she was too patient for this battle to not be concerned about her other Pokémon. She could sense that Orchid was near.

"My Pokémon is upstairs; Charles has held him captive once again. He hopes to steal my Pokémon to use his power against us. We need to save Orchid, so that we can end this charade immediately."

The man nodded in kind to her plea, there was so much that needed to be done in such a short amount of time that it seemed that it was an impossible request. But Looker seemed interested in her plea and was willing to go the extra mile for the truth. He was in my observation a detective. One who would do anything for a case even if it was the most exhaustive thing to do.

"I'll save him, once we take control of this tower. We'll be sending your friends back and I'll be restoring order with my police force. I understand that he's in danger and that we don't have much time. But while the portal is being remained open as you say. Then our Earth needs to generate enough of a tune to open it from the other side. When this is all over, let's make sure your Pokémon is safe and secure inside his Poke ball to the trainer he trusts."

"We'll fight with you to see it through!" Shouted my partner Yellow next to his counterpart.

The man walked toward the generator and pulled the switch upward. Charging in the particles from all different areas of the tower. The lights suddenly started to sputter to life. Blanketing the sea of windows with a radiating warmth of light. Throwing the lavender open above the clouds in preparation for our final exit.

"Everyone! Let's put an end to Charles' plans".
