Red's POV

'I am tired', said Lyra, exhausted. 'I can't walk more than this'.

'What ? We've just started', I said, I had all my energy in me, I wasn't tired at all.

'I've been walking since morning, you got here after that', said Lyra. I looked at her, she was perspiring alot.

I thought that she really was tired, maybe we could take a break and stop here. But part of me told that going to the PokeCentre was a better option.

'Okay, let's just find a PokeCentre', I said, agreeing her. 'We can't just stop here, it is really hot outside, while PokeCentres are well air conditioned'.

'Okay, follow me', said Lyra, talking while breathing out.

I followed her as she walked tired, and slowly. The grass was quite tall compared to Route 1. I really missed travelling in Kanto, but Johto was fun too.

On my right, were trees and a strange forest like environment. And on my left, I could see the ocean, but the full view was blocked by the pine trees.

'I think we should take a break, Cherrygrove seems a lot more distance than I thought', I said, stopping.

'Finally, thank you', said Lyra, walking towards a tree that was bigger than the rest.

I walked to her and removed the burden, you call a bag, off of my shoulders. And sat down with my back on the tree. Lyra grabbed out a can that belonged to some soft drink or a juice.

It was probably some soft drink because it had the word cola on the can. After observing carefully, the peach colored can had Pitt Cola written on it, along with a smiling peach below the name.

'Is that a cold drink or something ?', I asked.

'Yes. You don't know what Pitt Cola is ? Maybe, you guys have something else in Kanto', said Lyra, surprised.

'No, we don't', I said, changing my voice to a suspicious tone after seeing something.

My eyes scrolled to the tree and I saw an R written on it. The R was pink in color. I freaked out immediately and couldn't believe that it was here in Johto.

'It can't be, no', I shouted, getting up.

'Whoa, what happened ?', asked Lyra, in a plain voice.

'That's a Team Rocket logo. But how are they in Johto ?', I asked.

'Yeah, I saw two people of Team Rocket, called themselves Cassidy and Bitch', said Lyra, as she explained what happened.

'Cassidy and Butch, huh ? There back then. This tree must have a secret passage underneath, I saw a tree like this back in Kanto, it had a secret base underneath it', I explained.

'Hm, we should find some switch or something that activates it', said Lyra, as she started to touch the bark of the tree.

I started to look here and there on the ground if I could find something but couldn't.

Suddenly, a way opened inside the bark, Lyra looked at me and showed a thumbs up. She jumped inside without fear, so did I.

The slide went in a spiral and we reached inside a base. This one was way more hi-tech than the one in Kanto, the flooring was futuristic. The floor was made up of some kind of metal, and walls were too of the same material.

We could see a corridor that didn't seemed to end. We walked further inside, and a big open room was seen.

'Walk slowly, don't make any sound', I told Lyra, whispering. Lyra nodded.

The open room had several Team Rocket Grunts, with a grunt standing in front of them who looked like their Leader.

There were some scientists working on some machine in the middle of the room. The machine was huge, like a thing only seen in science fiction movies.

The machine was circular in shape and I could clearly see through it.

'Start, test number 122', said the Grunt who looked like the Leader.

'Yes sir', saluted the Grunts and the Scientists.

One of the scientist pressed a red button inclined on a metal rod that was perpendicular to the floor.

Suddenly, the machine had a white light radiating in every direction and I couldn't see a thing through it, only the light could be seen.

'Sir, the machine is working fine, but there is one problem', said another Scientist.

'What ?', asked the Leader.

'To be able to open a breach to another universe, we need to have the specific vibrational rate of it', said the Scientist, worried.

'I'll ask Giovanni about the frequencies of his universe', said the Leader, confident.

'But if we even know the frequency, how are we going to change it ?', asked the Scientist.

'Don't worry, I've sent two of my Grunts for that job, Radio Tower will be of perfect use', said the Leader.

Suddenly, Lyra's Pitt Cola Can slipped out of her hand and a loud echo was heard throughout the corridor.

The Grunts turned towards us and saw us. There was no way out, we couldn't do anything. My heart pumped faster than ever before.

Running was useless, cause climbing a long slide is a waste of time, and moreover the gateway would've been completely sealed.

Lyra and I stood beside each other, praying. The Leader walked towards us and his face was revealed, he was Giovanni's assistant.

'Don't be scared, you two. We have something for you, that'll help you forget everything you saw from the past one hour', said Charles.

'What are you gonna do to us, Charles ?', I asked, angrily, hiding my fear.

'Oh, is that you who destroyed Team Rocket ?', asked Charles. 'Oh, thank you. Hey, Fred, we need to use that memory device of yours'.

'What memory device ?', asked one of the Scientists.

'That makes you forget certain stuff', said Charles, whispering but we could hear him perfectly.

The Scientist brought a gun-like looking device and handed to Charles.

'Just turn the dial to one hour or something', said the Scientist - Fred.

Charles fiddled with the gun and aimed towards us.

'Are you going to -?', asked Lyra as Charles press the trigger.

We collapsed. I could hear nothing but beeps in my head.

I woke up and found myself sitting next to Lyra, under some tree. I looked around unaware of what happened to us.

The sky was dark blue, I looked at my Pokegear, it was 7 o'clock.

'Lyra, wake up', I said, as I shook her, holding her shoulders.

'Ahh', said Lyra, waking up. 'What happened ?'.

'Lyra, we slept under the tree for two hours', I said, shouting.

'What ?!', exclaimed Lyra, standing up and holding her bag. 'We need to reach Cherrygrove on time'.

'Yep, let's go', I said, picking up my bag.

Lyra stopped and started to search for something in her bag.

'We don't have time', I said, annoyed. 'We have to reach Cherrygrove'.

'Yeah, but I couldn't find my Pitt Cola', said Lyra, sad.

'What is Pitt Cola ? Is that a soft drink ?', I asked, not knowing what it was.

'Don't you know what Pitt Cola is ? It's the best cold drink, maybe you don't have them in Kanto', said Lyra, as we walked towards Cherrygrove.
