Red's POV

The wind was back to it's calm state. The pink aura was darker here in the Johto Region. Lyra seemed a bit disturbed by something and her expressions clearly said - Don't ask me anything about anything.

'Hey, what's the matter with you ?', I asked, trying not to trigger her. 'It's okay, you can tell me about it'.

'I know I can, we're cousins. But I don't know you that well, I doubt I can trust you', said Lyra, serious.

'You can trust me, Lyra. Why is there a need to doubt anything ?', I asked, didn't know why she acted wierd. 'You want to know me ? Fine, just stop and talk for a minute'.

Lyra stopped walking and looked at me, folding her hands. 'Okay', she said.

'What are the things you think about me ?', I asked. 'Let me know'.

'Uh, I think you must be arrogant because you won the League', said Lyra, not sure of herself about what she was saying.

'Hey, that's completely wrong. I'm not arrogant, I even gave up the option to become a Gym Leader to the second position holder who was my rival before', I said, explaining that she was wrong.

Lyra smiled. 'And who is Leaf ? I know you like her', said Lyra, teasing me.

'Uh, no', I said, stammering. 'She's just a good friend'.

Lyra started laughing. 'You're blushing', said Lyra, pointing at my cheeks.

I covered my cheeks with my hands. 'No, I'm not', I said. 'Did you catch your first Pokemon yet ?'.

'No, and you're changing the topic. Admit it that you like her', said Lyra.

'I'll help you catch a Pokemon', I said, changing the topic.

'Admit it that you like Leaf', said Lyra, again.

'I'm saying that I'll help you catch a Pokemon', I said.

'No, admit it first', said Lyra, trying to sound like the boss here.

'I'll help you to-', I said, interrupted.

'Admit it', said Lyra, loudly.

Her voice hurt my ears as if someone had put a a needle in both my ears and hammered them at the same time. I covered my ears to stop hearing her voice.

'Okay, okay. I like Leaf', I said. 'Fine ?'.

'Oh, yes', said Lyra, smiling. 'When are you telling her ?'.

'Stop it. We're acting like brother and sister', I said, irritated.

'But we are brother and sister', said Lyra, smiling at me.

We laughed.

'So, now would you like to catch a Pokemon or not ?', I asked.

'Okay, I will catch a Pokemon', said Lyra. 'Hey, what Pokemon do you have ?'.

I took out my Trainer Card and showed her my Pokemon.

'Trainer cards have the picture of the Pokemon we caught ?', asked Lyra.

'Yes', I said.

'Wow, I saw a Trainer's Trainer Card this morning, his name was Silver, and had a Farfetch'd', said Lyra. 'His red hair looked funny in his face'.

'Red hair, Farfetch'd and there was a Pokemon stolen this morning, oh no. That guy again', I said.

'You know him ?', asked Lyra.

'Yeah, he stole five of my Pokemon', I said. 'But I got them back somehow'.

'He's a thief ? That means he must have the Totodile with him', said Lyra.

'Okay, just forget about it now and learn how to catch a Pokemon', I said.

'Okay', said Lyra, scratching her head.

'You have to throw a Pokeball....', I said, then I looked at Lyra.

She threw a Pokeball up high, away from her. And the Pokeball fell behind a bush.

'I was saying that you have to throw the Pokeball at a Pokemon', I said.

Suddenly, there was blue light that flashed behind the bush where the Pokeball was thrown. Lyra ran towards the bush, so did I.

The Pokeball shook and flashed. A Pokemon was caught.

'You- you caught a Pokemon', I said, freaking out. 'Wow'.

'That's awesome', said Lyra, she held the Pokeball in her hand. 'I caught a Pokemon'.

She stood in the anime style Pokemon catching position.

'Don't you want to know what you caught just now ?', I asked.

'Yes, go Pokemon', said Lyra and a Pokemon came out.

'What is this ?' I asked, pointing my Pokedex towards the new Johto Pokemon.

'Sentret, the Scout Pokemon. It stands on its tail so it can see a long way. If it spots an enemy, it cries loudly to warn its kind', explained the Pokedex.

'Can you show me how to use the Pokedex ?', asked Lyra.

'Just point towards the Pokemon and press that red button', I said.

'Red - button', said Lyra and laughed, she pointed the Pokedex towards her Sentret.

'Sentret, the Scout Pokemon. A very cautious Pokémon, it raises itself up using its tail to get a better view of its surroundings', explained the Pokedex.

'Your Pokedex says different stuff, and your Pokedex's voice is different too', said Lyra.

'Maybe you have an updated version or something', I said, I kept the Pokedex back inside my pocket. 'And congrats, you caught your first Pokemon'.

'Thank you, but I caught it by mistake', said Lyra, scratching her head.

'Now, do you want to have a battle ?', I asked. 'I'll play safe'.

'Okay', said Lyra. 'Go Sentret'.

'Battling is the best way to train your Pokemon. Go Bulbasaur', I said.

'Sentret, use Tackle', said Lyra, looking in her Pokedex for Sentret's attacks.

'Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf', I said. 'It'll be just a one versus one cause you'll lose if I used others'.

'Right', said Lyra, laughing. 'Sentret, use Sand Attack ? I wonder what that does ?'.

Sentret grabbed some sand and threw on Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur couldn't see because of the sand that went in his eyes.

Now, Sentret had an advantage. 'Bulbasaur, use Sleep Powder', I said, hoping that it would spread to make Sentret sleep.

But, Bulbasaur's attack missed.

'Sentret, use Quick Attack', said Lyra, the attack was powerful. Bulbasaur, without knowing from where Sentret could hit him, lost track of the battle and was hit badly, and fell two meters away.

Bulbasaur fainted. 'Bulbasaur, come back', I said, calling Bulbasaur back in my Pokeball.

'Ha-ha. Just send your other Pokemon, I'll battle them too, I think I'm going to win the League', said Lyra, overconfident.

'You wish, go Charizard', I said, throwing a Pokeball and Charizard came out.

Sentret hid behind Lyra after seeing Charizard. Charizard smiled and waved his hand towards Lyra.

'Sorry, I'm not at you level, I was just being overconfident', said Lyra, sad.

'That's why I was battling with Bulbasaur', I said, calling Charizard back.

'So, show me your other Pokemon, all of them', said Lyra, excited. Lyra called Sentret back in her Pokeball.

'Hey, send your Pokemon back out, all of them, all of our Pokemon should know each other', I said, throwing all of my Pokeballs.

'Okay', said Lyra, sending out all of her Pokemon.

We looked at each other's Pokemon.

'So, is your starter the blue Pokemon ?', asked, pointing at the blue Snorlax-y Pokemon on her shoulder.

'Oh, Marill ? No, my starter is Chikorita', said Lyra, picking up a green Pokemon from her team. 'So, you have only four Pokemon ?'.

'No, I have fifteen, the rest of them are with Professor Oak', I said.

'What all ?', asked Lyra. I handed her my Pokedex for her to see all of my Pokemon.

She looked at my Pokemon, but she didn't know any of those, so she didn't questioned that I had an Articuno.

'So, what now ?', asked Lyra, gesturing her shoulders upwards.

'We go to the next town obviously and get our Pokemon restored to full health', I said. 'Which is the nearest city from here ?'.

'Cherry Grove', said Lyra.

'So Cherry Grove it is !', I exclaimed in merry as we started to walk.
