Red's POV

"Are you sure we need to hurry?" Lyra looked at me as we walked briskly throught the streets of Olivine City.

"Yes, we have to. You have the medicine right?"

"It's in the bag." Lyra said, stopping. "I think we're rushing everything. Can't we just stop and take our time? I'm tired."

"Lyra! We have 25 days until the Pokemon League starts and we're still left with 3 gyms." I irated. "I mean, we don't even know how much time we're gonna take on the other ones. And I'm sure the last three are not going to be like Chuck. Focus!"

"Let's just give this medicine to Jasmine's Ampharos." Said Lyra. "We'll see what we need to do afterwards."

Lyra opened the door of the lighthouse and we rushed to the lift, hitting the button for the top floor. "You can't win without being faster than others."

"Huh." Lyra looked at the floor number. "Slow and steady, wins the race."

"That's something losers say." I said, walking out of the lift, finding no one there. "She must be at the gym."

We argued a lot on the way to the gym. I did not understand why Lyra didn't care about just getting over with these things. Procrastination is not a good habit.

"Red, here's the medicine. I'm going to the Pokecenter." Said Lyra, handing me the medicine and walking away. I didn't say anything to her.

I kept looking at the Olivine Gym from the outside, the lights were on, so Jasmine was there inside.

"C'mon Red." I walked inside.

Ethan's POV

Alarms rang loudly

"Intruder alert!" Shouted a Team Rocket Grunt. "Oh no! I dropped the keys for the main office."

I looked around and found a keychain with a bunch of keys right in front of me.

"Alright!" I grinned. I've been noticing a suspicious activity in the Mahogany Town for a past few days. After defeating the Mahogany gym leader, I've been observing this cookie shop in the north-east part of the town. The shop was detached from the rest of the town and I've seen some Team Rocket Grunts going in and out on a regular basis.

Finally, yesterday I looked through the window and saw that there's a secret entrance in the shop to a Team Rocket Base where they are working on something.

I haven't yet discovered what they're upto but I know that it's upto no good.

Red's POV

"

Thank you so much, Red." Said Jasmine. "Now, Go Forretress."

"Go Espeon." I said. "Use, Psychic."

"Forretress, use Rapid Spin." Espeon was critically hit. "It's not gonna be that easy."

"Espeon, use Quick attack." I shouted. "Get 'em. You can do it."

Espeon wasn't faster than Eevee or my Jolteon, I really missed the old timeline. Time travel is a mess, shouldn't have done it.

Jasmine's Forretress dodged the attack and Espeon bumped into the wall, fainting.

"Come back, Espeon." I said, I clipped the ball back to my belt. I had to choose wisely, I had to think properly, I can't just send out a strong Pokemon like usual and win the battle.

According to the Pokedex, Forretress is a bug and steel type, Charizard had a total advantage over it. But then, what about my other Pokemon. Can't send out Ditto, it won't have any affect. I can't ask Ditto to transform into something from the Pokedex, not allowed during battles.

"Alright. Go Pikachu." I said. I really can't more predictable. Jasmine asked Forretress to use Giga drain. Pikachu's health was drained.

"Use Thunder!"

One shot, one Pokemon. Forretress fainted.

Ethan's POV

"Why can't you find something important when you're in hurry?" I spoke to myself, looking for thr pendrive in my bag pack. I had Team Rocket's plans right in front of me.

I didn't look at much stuff as I had to copy everything to my flash drive so that I could look into it later. But this flash drive, I don't even know where it is.

"Found it!" I quickly plugged it in and started copying data. The plans were confusing, but not very confusing if you actually look at everything.

There was a Gyarados on the screen with a spherical stone on the other side of the screen with this crazy DNA logo, I wonder what company manufactures it, might as well get one for myself.

"Copied." I said, smiling. "Let's get outta here."

"Not on our watch." Said a Team Rocket Grunt I had met before. "Prepare for trouble!"

Red's POV

"Stantler, use Earthquake."

I feel on the ground due to the impact. Pikachu fainted. "Come back, Pikachu. You fought well, buddy. Go Wartortle."

"Stantler, use Psychic." Stantler wasn't able to attack. Maybe because he had a headache. Funny possibilities, this is no time for jokes.

"Wartortle, Water gun." Wartortle stood straight and attacked unstoppably. Stantler fainted. I knew what Jasmine was gonna use next. Wartortle was weak against Ampharos as Ampharos had a type advantage.

"Wartortle, come back." I said. "Go Ditto."

"Go Sparkles." Said Jasmine. "You knew I'd be using Sparkles. Smart move."

"Ditto, Transform." I looked into the Pokedex at Ditto's moveset. "Ditto, Thunder."

Ampharos was badly hit. Jasmine looked at me and grinned. "My turn."

"Sparkles, Thunder!" Jasmine shouted. Sparkles used Thunder which seemed to look ten times more powerful than Ditto's.

Ditto fainted.

Ethan's POV

"Okay, kid." Said Butch. "Where are you gonna give this information? Police? FBI?"

"Looker." I clipped off a Pokeball from my belt. "And I'm gonna do it even if I have to go through you."

"Oh no no no." Said Cassidy. "We're on the same side. I'll tell you another way to get out of here. Follow me."

"Why are you doing this?" I asked, I did not trust these two at all. "How can I even believe that we're on the same side?"

"You can't." Said Butch. "I can't explain. We're just working here for information now, and you know more than we do. Alright? And we'll be happy if you take that to Looker."

"Uh huh." I looked at the two grunts.

"You have to believe us." Said Cassidy. "You don't have any other choice. We can't risk you getting captured by these Team Rocket Grunts."

"Where is the exit?" I asked.

Cassidy pulled a lever downwards and a door opened. "There!"

Red's POV

"Wartortle, use Water Pulse!"

Ampharos fainted. Jasmine was out of usable Pokemon. She walked to me and handed me the badge and the TM.

"Here's the Mineral Badge and TM23, Iron Tail." Said Jasmine. "It did not occur to me before but where is your friend?"

"Uh, cousin." I said. "She's at the Pokecenter, she was tired. I think she'll come tomorrow morning."

"She better! Time is running out for you two. The trainers eho came before you must be  a week ahead of you."

"A week?" I asked. "I thought we were too late."

"You were, but I couldn't believe that you came back from Cianwood in less than a week. That is speed. Impressive." Jasmine smiled.

"So we'll be able to catch the other trainers?"

"Oh yeah, why not." She winked. "Goodnight, now. You should hurry back to the Pokecenter."

"Yeah, goodnight."

Ethan's POV

I was locked in a cell. Cassidy and Butch had tricked me and now, I was trapped, unable to get out. They've taken my Pokemon too. I couldn't believe I was in such a mess.

"Bad news for you kid." Said Butch" We're giving your Pokemon to our boss. You're gonna miss them."

"Aw." Cassidy chuckled.
