Dimensional Duel (II)

Cyrus' POV

I've done it. All my life I've had only one goal, I've worked so hard to reach this point in time. And finally, today is when I get my reward. After so many years, so many defeats, so many deaths and I stood right there, in front of my final work. The vessel was revolving around the particle accelerator.

"Sir, sound speed achieved." Said Andy, the lead physicist working alongside me. "Should I project the hydrogen particle now?"

"Take your time, precision is important." I said. I stood right in front of the door which led to the inside of the accelerator.

"Hydrogen particle ready for collision." Said Andy. "And...projected."

The anti-matter vessel collided with the hydrogen particle, opening a portal. No one knew where the portal was going to lead me, except me.

I was time. I placed my hand on the glass door, it recognised my hand print and the door slid open. All I had to do was jump into the portal.

"Here we go." I said. I jumped.

Leaf's POV

Cyrus was gone. Suddenly, my Pokegear rang again. The last time is rang was when we were in the forest, eavesdropping the Team Rocket Grunts.

I answered the call. "Red, you have a very bad timing. I'll call you okay? Later."

I hung up the call. "Your friend will get us killed someday." Whispered Barry.

"You're already dead." Said a man. Lucas turned around and saw a Team Galactic Grunt blocking our exit. "Everyone, we have intruders."

The Team Galactic grunts standing in the basement turned around and looked at us. I should've been scared but I wasn't. Team Galactic didn't feel scary at all. I mean, what are they gonna do? Make us wear bunny costumes?

Three grunts held our arms and pulled us. We couldn't do anything. They outnumbered us, obviously. The grunts walked us to a section of the basement where there were prison like cells. Though they weren't regular cells.

The room was dark and was too narrow to be a room, one end was the entrance and the other was one prison cell. It was just like a science fiction movie set. Near the cell, was a computer screen.

One of the grunts dragged Barry to the cell. The grunt kept Barry's Pokeballs on a hovering plate like disc. Barry was pushed into the cells, and the grunt tapped the computer screen. The glass door of the cell closed and the entire cell moved to the right and another empty cell stood in it's place.

Same thing happened with Lucas. His Pokeballs were kept on the hovering disc and he was pushed inside the cells, the grunt tapped the screen. The cell moved to the right and revealed another.

This time I was pushed inside. The cell was made of some kind of plastic but seemed unbreakable. The door was glass, that also was hard to break.

The cell was in some kind of open place. I couldn't see properly from the inside. I could just see a metal wall in front of me from the glass door. Wherever I was, the place was big enough to contain three or more prison cells.

"We're stuck here. And this glass, doesn't even break." Said Lucas, probably hitting the glass as I could hear a loud thud.

"Even if we get out, the cells are about twenty feet high." Barry justified. "So we can't just jump without breaking our legs."

Whatever we needed to do, it had to be quick.

Proton's POV

My heart was beating fast, I had no clue what we were supposed to do. Moreover, those kids were in danger, as if it was our business but I didn't like the fact that they were. Working for Looker was changing my nature.

Petrel and I just waited for something to happen. "Proton, should we help those kids?" Petrel asked.

Petrel was thinking the same, and now I was sure. "Petrel, we'll find the kids and get them out."

"More like, take them in."

I felt like it was a job that we were supposed to do. We casually walked in the direction where those grunts took them.

I looked around, as we walked through the Team Galactic HQ, the ultramarine blue and bright white corridors.

Comparing this to the Team Rocket Base, I felt like I was in the future. Technically, I was infact in the future. Petrel was surprised to see the technology of this era.

Finally, we came across a room with a floating plate. I was curious, how was the plate levitating in thin air.

We walked forward and discovered that a couple of Pokeballs were placed on it. "Help!" A voice yelled, and I was sure that the three trainers were behind the metal door.

I walked to the door to search for a handle to open it.

"I don't think it opens like that." Said Petrel, as I tried kicking the door open.

I even searched for buttons, but didn't find any. Ah, the technology.

"Proton? That screen clearly says slide to open" Petrel instructed. I was surprised, I felt stupid.

Petrel slid his fingers across the screen and the door opened, revealing an old enemy. I was shocked to see that face again. I wasn't expecting it but here I was, face to face with Leaf.

She didn't seem threatened by looki g at my face. She pretended as if we were strangers. And trust me we weren't any strangers to the girl.

She looked different, at least two years older and taller. Her expressions changed, she was angry but worried.

"Proton, who you looking at?" Petrel asked, as he tapped the screen and opened the door of the cell.

She ran outside and past me, picked up a Pokeball from the levitating plate and was ready for a battle.

"We'll do that later. Tell me where are the other two." Asked Petrel.

"What?" Leaf asked, confused. Obviously she was confused, two Team Rocket Grunts who didn't like her are trying to help her, not at all confusing.

"Um wait." She walked to the screen and made some gesture and the her cell moved to the right and another cell came into place from the left, holding another trainer, but this one wasn't familiar at all. I'd never seen that kid before.

The door opened and he walked out. "How did this happen? I mean wow. Things are just working out today. And are these Galactic Grunts moles?"

"We're not Galactics." Said Petrel, calmly. "Proton tell them!"

"Um yeah." I said, removing the Galactic outfit and revealing my Team Rocket uniform. "We're Rockets."

Another kid came out of a different cell, he was also a new face. But the real surprise was, how Petrel was acting responsible and mature, as if suddenly something happened. Even I felt stupid, that too in front of Petrel.

"But Leaf here, is-" I said, interrupted.

"How do you know my name?" She asked. "Who are you two? Are you working under Giovanni?"

"Didn't you and Red end Giovanni and everything?" I asked.

"Red did, yes. So you're working under Charles?" Asked Leaf.

"How's Charles?" I asked.

"Your new boss?" Leaf explained. "Giovanni's former assistant and head executive?"

"I am the head-" I said, interrupted.

"Proton and Leaf. Stop." Said Petrel. "Proton this Leaf isn't the Leaf from our Earth, she is more like her doppelganger. Pretty similar, but not her. And Leaf, long story short, we're from a parallel universe and we don't work for Team Rocket anymore. We work for the FBI."

"Parallel what?" Asked Leaf.

"I'll explain later." Said one of the boys. "I'm actually pretty good with all these things."

"I think our main focus should be getting out of the headquarters as soon as possible and not a science class." The other boy snapped.

"Right." I said, putting the Galactic outfit back on. "Act as if we're taking you somewhere else."

The trainers picked up their Pokeballs and Pokegears and we were good to go. I walked in the front followed by the kids and at last Petrel. With ease, we successfully escaped the Headquarters without anyone caring to ask us where we were taking them.

As soon as we got out. The trainers rushed to the Pokecentre. As for us, we didn't have sufficient information to offer. I was pretty sure, saving the trainers would give us extra points.

Cyrus' POV

My plan had worked. After all those years I was finally where I belonged. Ready to rule the world with the immortal weapon.

"You can't find it." Said a voice from behind. I was astonished to hear another person's voice.

I turned around and saw an old man. He looked way too old for a person to be alive and well. "I don't understand." I said, trying to look for answers.

"I was pulled into this realm, the Distortion World, as I call it. I've been living here for months." Said the old man. "Why are you here?"

"How do you know I chose to be here?" I asked. "And who are you?"

"You are not surprised to see this place at all, how all the things are floating and vanishing. You were instead surprised to find me here." Said the old man. "My name is Gregorio Silverman, I was a historian and a scientist by profession."

"And how long have you been here, in this realm?" I asked.

"I have no clue. Last thing I know, I was with a fellow scientist, experimenting some kind of unknown element." Said Gregorio. "In the year 1969."

"I'm so sorry, you've been here since that long?" I asked.

"That long? Is it 1970 yet?" He asked.

"It's- 2014." I said.

"2014?" He asked, not at all surprised. "That proves my theory to why these Pokemon live for centuries. Because of their realms. The time here passes slowly."

"And where do I find it?" I asked.

"Giratina?" He asked. "You can't! You're stuck here forever."
