Rosa's Pov

"Please... you don't understand..." I cried. I couldn't help but feel scared right now. I can't believe that out of all the police man in this city, this guy comes out of nowhere and finds me under a week!

I can't go where he's taking me... I don't want to be separated from my Pokemon... I can't be alone... My Pokemon are all I have...

He let go of me with such shock. I rubbed my wrist in pain and called for Meloetta to take me somewhere safe...

I sat on the floor and hugged my legs while I let my tears fall on their own... it hurts to know that if I get caught for real, I will be send somewhere where I know I will not be able to survive without my Pokemon...

'Rosa...' Meloetta frowned 'it's okay... you won't go to jail... I promise' I looked away

"You can't promise me something like that..." I looked at Chingling looking up at me while frowning "that boy is different from the other Police... I better watch out" I sighed and walked over to take a hot shower

While I was done towel drying my hair. I left it damp and started looking at the rolls of 6 of 100,000 pokedollers in my sack. I'm saving this money... I'm not going to spend it. in not even close to my goal "just 800,000 short..." I sighed and ran my hand in my hair

"Ching! Ching!" Chingling alerted. Meloetta gasped

'The room has been bought! They are coming this way in 10 minutes! We must go!' I gasped and started cleaning as fast as I could to where things are usually done before I got here

This room hasn't been bought in weeks! Why would someone rent it now!? After finishing, I picked up my uniform, regular clothes and sack "lets go!" Meloetta nodded and teleported me outside between some alleys. I squealed from the rush of cold air hitting my damp skin

"M-M-Meloetta... please find me somewhere..." she nodded and disappeared. then reappeared with a disappointed look on her face

'All of them are taken...' my eyes widened

"What?? How can they all-"

'It's the airport Master... no one can get out this place... so the rooms are piling up fast...' I frowned and hugged myself tighter once the air hit me again. I send out Castform. she changed to her snowy form

"Castform... stop this winter" she frowned and floated around while saying her name

'She cannot stop the weather, she can only bring it' Meloetta said. I sighed and sat down to hug my whole body. Mareep came out and tried to help

"Then use sunny day... to make it warm..." it's s-so cold...

'It's 1 in the morning... the sun isn't up...' I frowned and brought my hair in front of me so I can somewhat get warmer, but my hair was the coldest part of me because it was damp

"Is there any mistreated Pokemon..?" She shook her head. I sighed "Now what..?" Mareep made her tail glow. "no... you'll attract attention..." she frowned and turned off her light. I started crying "mom... dad..." I rest my forehead on my knees and just sat there... might as well sleep here

Something warm landed on my shoulder. I looked up and saw that Bait guy... or Sam, squat down to my height and gave me a warm smile

"Come on" he offered his big hand. he was wearing a long sleeve white shirt "lets get you somewhere warm" I frowned and turned my body slightly, not wanting to... "I won't hurt you... let me help" I stared at his hand and slowly reached for it, then saw my moms ring

"My mom's ring..." he looked at it while I looked at my ringless hand. how did I not notice..? This is the most special thing I own... next to my Pokemon

"Oh yeah, I found it in the fountain" he smiled and continued offering his hand. I eventually grabbed it and helped me up on my feet, I tackled his chest to find some warmth. I was shivering. he went down and grabbed my clothes, not letting go of my hand

"Follow me..." he walked me out the alley and into the streets with his arm around my back, keeping me close. why am I going with this guy without even fighting him... he can put me to jail! But looking at his pretty warm smile, I can't help but go with him

While we walked, Mareep lit her light, Castform stayed close, Chingling rang her bell, and Meloetta sat on Sam's head... did she trust him enough to do that?

I caught him looking down at me, I was letting out hot air for my hands "why are you out here? It's freezing and you're all wet"

"I... have no home..." I admit shyly

"How you get your hair wet?" I avoided that question... my real question was... why am I still here..? he sighed and walked me into a office building filled with Police officers. I flinched and tried to run, but my hand was caught in Sam's

"No... no... nonononono!" I started crying and tried to pull my hand away, but his grip was too strong. he looked at me with a sympathetic look

"Ray..." he frowned. I shook my hand and continued to pull

"Nonono! You can't take my Pokemon away from me! They're all I have!" I was going crazy, I don't want them to take my Pokemon! Then I will truly be alone!

"Ray! We're not going to take your Pokemon!" He raised his voice. I stopped struggling and stared at him "we just want some answers"

"That's right" someone's voice said behind me. I turned around and saw a tall guy with brown hair and a brown coat looking at me. I flinched and ran into Sam's arms

"He's going to take my Pokemon!" I cried. I heard Sam chuckle and pet my head, it made me feel calmer.

"Would you have a seat please?" The man asked. I didn't move from my spot... it's been so long since I hugged a person... he was warm

"Ray" I looked up and saw his face close to mine. I flinched and backed off. he chuckled and showed me a soft looking couch "please sit" I picked up Mareep and slowly made my way to the couch and hugged my legs.

Sam put a blanket over my shoulder and sat next to me with a smile. I frowned and looked away... why am I here..? I could be running and yet... I'm here

"Ma!" Mareep cuddled with my cheek. Castform sat on my head and Chingling sat on Mareeps fur. Sam gave the man my things, and...

"Hey! That's mine" I jumped to grab the sack, but was frozen in place... a Abra kept me in place

"Don't worry, we'll just put everything in the evidence pile" the man said while walking away with my things. I sighed and didn't even want to look at Sam staring at me. I fixed the blanket on me... I'm so sleepy...

Nate's Pov

I gave Looker the clothes and sack that I picked up from the ground where Rapunzel was sitting in the cold alley and watched her hugging Mareep closely as her eyes fell heavy.

Staring at her... I couldn't take my eyes off of her. she's shows so many different types of personalities. first it was cold, then bright, then... nervous... watching her crying because she thought we were going to take her Pokemon... was really something. I just want to understand her... she's different

"Alright, we're ready" Looker came back with a notepad, then looked at Rapunzel having her head on Mareeps fur

"She's asleep" I pointed out. Looker groaned and sat down

"Wake her up" I frowned and looked at her puffy eyes. I didn't want to wake her up, she looked peaceful. Meloetta floated up and sat on my head

'No need!' It said. Looker and the rest of the officers looked at it surprised 'my name is Meloetta, and I will answer any questions you need'

"It's telling the truth" I said. Looker sighed and picked up a pen

"You're a legendary Pokemon, correct?" He asked. I looked up at Meloetta shocked... this girl actually had a legendary Pokemon??

'Yes'

"Why are you with this girl?"

'Because I love her' I smiled and nodded, signing that it was telling the truth

"Did she kidnap you?"

'I found her'

"Where?"

'Liberty Garden'

"Are you being forced to be with her?" She rolled her eyes

'Oh please'

"Okay, questions about you is done" he said and turned the page "what is this girls name?"

'You have to ask her that' it sat on my lap and looked away

"Fine" he sighed "is this girl a Team Plasma member?"

'Former'

"Former?"

'After Team Plasma was finished, she never went back'

"She continues stealing people's Pokemon though" he pointed at the Pokemon around Ray "are those Pokemon she stole?"

'Yes, but Mareep is hers' he nodded and wrote that down

"How many Pokemon did she keep that were stolen?"

'She uses ditto to disguise her face so that no one could recognize her' that's smart 'ditto was abandoned by its trainer by the dumpsters, Castform was abused by its trainer because she was the cause of him for loosing some science fair. Smeargle belonged to her mother before she passed' I frowned and looked at Ray crying in her sleep 'Chingling was always yelled at and abused by her trainer because she kept waking her trainer for sneezing in the middle of the night, and Mareep was given to her by a very generous person who cared about her...'

"Wait..." Looker stopped her "are you saying she... rescues Pokemon?" It nodded and stood

'I help her look for the bad people who mistreat their Pokemon. she steals them away and finds them better homes or release them to the wild. I talk to the Pokemon before we do anything so I can get some information about the trainer!' It put its hands in fist 'she's not a bad girl! She just has personal troubles, but she is very caring to Pokemon and care about where they go! She never forces the Pokemon to leave with her! They want to go with her!' It started crying, I stared at it in shock 'she often steals the money from the trainers, but I wouldn't let her! So I donate it to a good cause or give it back if the trainer if they deserved it. because what they do with the money would only make matters worse! She earns her own money but refuses to spend it because she is saving up for something she wouldn't tell me about! Her heart is in the right place! Even though she hisses and has anger problem... she's the best master I can have... even if she does refuse to capture me... she said a legendary Pokemon should be free...' it whipped its tears away 'she is just trying to survive... I try my best to take care of her... she's so stubborn...' it shook its head 'I do admit... she does steal food... but the Pokemon that usually steals her food are psychic... Ditto turns into a psychic, by this, they know which food won't be eaten... she never had a proper meal... just left overs...' it looked at Ray and floated over to her to whip her tears.

Looker looked at me, I just can't help but stare at Ray... so, she doesn't steal them... she rescues them... she doesn't use force and she isn't really a criminal. she has her heart in the right place...

"It's true... everything" I said. Looker shut his notepad and walked over to a officer on the computer near Rapunzels stuff

"What info do you got on her?" He asked

"Rosa Valentine, 8 years old, lives in... Kanto?" I furrowed my brows confused and walked over to the screen. seeing a little girl with short light brown hair and sparkly blue eyes, smiling on the picture

"Let's see..." I thought out loud "8 years old, this file hasn't been updated, so that means she's 17 years old now. she lived in Lavender Town in the Kanto region. reported missing after the family went through a terrible car crash while on vacation in Unova. there were many search party for her but no one could ever find her..." I looked back at Rosa and frowned... she was missing for 9 years?

"Brown hair, blue eyes, height... weight... needs glasses... straight A student, panic disorder, dyslexic" Looker finished "wow... this girl is really something" we all looked at Rosa still sleeping on the couch. I smiled, walked up to her and moved a strand of hair away from her forehead

"Mom... Dad.." she mumbled. I frowned and looked at Looker looking at Meloetta

"If all this is true, then... we can't exactly charge her... since she didn't do anything wrong" I said

"But she stole Pokemon and released them without anyone's permission" Looker said. I crossed my arms and faced him

"I think we can use her" he looked at me like I was crazy "its proven that she is skilled. a man in this one place where she was singing said she destroyed 11 punching bags! She's tough and she certainly got some guts! She kicks like crazy hard..." I rubbed my nose, remembering the pain she put me through before Meloetta healed me "if she can go through 2 years while stealing more then 100,000 Pokemon without getting caught... I think she can really be useful to us and become a International Police like us" Looker glared and pulled his hair

"Are you crazy!?" I snorted

"I'm dead serious!" I pointed at him "I will watch over her, she will go to trainer school with me and she will travel the world with me" Meloetta smiled at me and cupped her hands together in awe

"You don't even know her Sam! Why would she go with a stranger around the world?! Why would she even agree to do all these things with you-"

"Trust me" I pointed my thumb at myself "I know how to make her stay" I smirked

"How?" I raised my arms to the side

"Come on, no girl can resist me" I laughed, then showed him Rosa's ring "and this, I have her ring and she's got no choice" Meloetta flew over to me

'Forcing is wrong...' I smiled and pet its head

"This is going to be good for her... I wanna get to know who she is and how skilled she is. trust me... I'm not going to put anything against her will" it sighed, nodded, and pet its hand on my shoulder

'She's a special girl Nate... her heart is dark and all she ever wants is a friend... she doesn't want to admit it...' I held its hand 'she needs more than Pokemon in her life... will you please be a friend to her..?' I nodded with a warm smile

"There's nothing else I want more" it hugged me and flew over to Rosa still sleeping. I looked at Looker glaring at me "well?" He huffed and looked away

"Fine, do what you want... you are, after all, one of our best" I grinned and looked at Abra

"Great! Teleport us home!" Meloetta sweatdropped and flew to my face

'Calm down Nate, she's not a toy' I flinched and blushed

"I know that!" It giggled and flew around me

'I see a great but complicated future...' it held its heart 'my Rosa will not accept you as a friend, so whatever you do, be patient' I nodded and lifted Rosa in my arms... she's so small

"Once we graduate, our journey will begin" I know I can't make her do this, but if I explain to her enough, I know she can be a great partner... besides, it'll be nice to look at a pretty face when I travel the world. heh... this shall be interesting
