Nate's Pov

Woobat, Meloetta, Emolga, and I walked through route 6 together, hoping we can find Cheren and Blade, and hopefully Rosa soon

'Dad... where you going?' Little me asked while my head went off on its own

'I'm sorry son, I can't stay here... I have business to do' dad told me before he left out the door

'You're just going to leave me!?' Mom cried 'and if not me, leave your son!? He looks up to you! Think about what he feels!' Little me was crying a storm. dad just continued to walk

'Dad... please!' Little me begged

'This research is important...'

'Is this Pokemon named Mew really more important than us!?' He stopped in place 'don't leave me dad! Please!' He looked at me with a blank expression. little me glared

'Yes...' little me flinched at his cold word 'this research will be the best discovery to find Mew! A extinct Pokemon that no one has seen in years! We're going to go see if it's still around!' He was trying to lighten the mood, but it wasn't working

'That's stupid!' Little me shouted 'Mew will never show itself to you! It only shows itself to a pure bright heart! You don't have a bright heart! You're selfish!' He turned his back to leave the house. I ran after him to see him climbing into a helicopter in the air 'I'm going to find you! I won't stop till I get my revenge on what you have done to my family! And how dare you just take my Cleffa away from me...'

That day he left me and mom, he took my Cleffa with him... for research purposes because Cleffa evolves to a Clefairy, and it has "wonderful" magic abilities of space that may help him look for Mew... that bastard... I know Mew will never show itself to him... A dream told me...

'Nate... stop...' I heard Meloetta beg, I ignored her. not only was I looking for my dad, I'm looking for my Cleffa that my mom hatched for me... that Cleffa knew me better than I knew myself... she was my light... everything I felt, she felt... And that's how I knew exactly what Hugh was feeling, but I never told him or anyone...

"Nate, Wake up" I heard a familiar voice say. I kept ignoring it. I'm not going to give up until I look for Cleffa. I haven't seen her in years... I'll never stop looking. and if I do end up having her with me for some reason, I'm still looking for my dad's ***.

'Language!' Meloetta gasped. my dad ruined everything. he thought Mew was more important than his family! He ruined it even more by separating me and Cleffa! I want Cleffa back! Sure, she was sensitive, but she was just like me... I didn't care about anything negative. she was my friend who comfort me from all the bullies that use to tease me back then

Something stung against my cheek that caused me to fall back in force. I held my cheek surprised and looked up at Cheren glaring at me with his hand in a pose that he just slapped me...

"Cheren..." I stood up "why did you slap me?" I rubbed my arms and shivered "and why is it so cold..?"

"It's not cold" I looked at him confused "you are" I looked at my hands and saw that my finger tails were purple... Dammit... I've been overthinking because theres no one here to distract me like Rosa... I have to find her...

"Did you really have to slap me??" He shrugged

"I yelled at you, but you couldn't hear me" I rubbed the back of my neck, feeling the chills that were making my hair stick out more

"S-sorry..." he sighed and grabbed my shoulder

"Come on, let's get inside" he walked me into a building with 4 deerlings inside... they all looked at me and cheered, running towards me and attacked me in hugs. I sat on the floor confused while they licked my cheeks

"What the..?" I asked

"Do you know these Deerlings, Nate?" Cheren asked "a scientist in here told me that they found these four in the forest together, crying" I stared at these Pokemon smiling at me. they seem familiar

"Don't tell me.." my eyes widened "you're Alex, Ally, Ariel, and Amy's Pokemon..." they shrugged and walked away "wait!" They looked back "why... are you not with them?" Meloetta flew over and spoke with them, she came back towards me

'They were traded' I looked at her confused 'they left their deerlings for the scientists to research them together. the girls were given other Pokemon' I put my hands in fist

"For research..?" She nodded

'As you can see here' I looked at each deerling and noticed that each of them were in different season forms 'this is a unusual thing to see... therefore... it's being researched' I shook my head

"How can they just leave them here?" Cheren put his hand on my shoulder

"They were traded in Nate, remember that lesson on Trading?" I nodded and frowned

"But..." I sighed and looked away "whatever, what you got?" I turned on my Xtransceiver so I can record him. He nodded and walked to a computer a scientist was looking at

"No one really talks about it, but the record shows that there was a sudden drop in temperature near Lacunosa Town"

"Temperature drop?" I looked at my finger nails. I'm really freezing here..

"It was only for a moment but it went down as low as -58 degrees Fahrenheit" I looked up in shock

"Arceus! -58 degrees in just a moment?" He nodded

"We think that's why the deerlings are this way. Not only that, but similar temperatures were recorded around Castelia City and Driftveil City" I held my chin, thinking

"That boat... Do you think it has to do with Team Plasma??"

"I think this needs some investigation before things go bad"

"Good idea, I'll get on that. where's Blade?"

"Out, he's going to be out searching for answers. you got his number, right?" I nodded and turned off my recording "good. it's getting late, let's sleep here for the night"

"Cant, I have to find Rosa"

"She'll be fine Nate... this is the same girl you told me she had a grunt by his uniform over Ns castle because he said she wasn't the boss of him" we chuckled "we don't need you getting a cold, it's starting to rain and I will not have a student of mine go out here and grow more cold"

"You're not my teacher" I smirked. he rolled his eyes and walked me to a room with some bunk beds

"I'm still your elder"

"By two years!"

"Don't care! Get to bed" I rolled my eyes and laid on the bottom bunk, falling asleep before I could move a single muscle

"I'll be going now" I walked towards the door the morning after. I ate my simple berry breakfast and now ready to start the searching again

"Nate" Cheren called. I stopped without looking at him "please, don't over think too much. we need you for this... and Rosa will be worried" I nodded and walked out

"Alright, let's go look for Rosa and find this Lacunosa place" Meloetta followed me through the soft rainy forest "Meloetta?" She looked at me "why aren't you with Rosa right now?" She looked back toward

'She doesn't need me right now...' I looked at her confused 'don't worry, she's a strong girl' don't worry, she always says that... I'm getting tired of it honestly

"Is she still c-cold..?" The temperature suddenly dropped for a moment. it soon started pouring harder. Meloetta made a barrier over our heads like a umbrella. Emolga joined Woobat on my head . what am I? Transportation?

'Yes, but don't worry... she'll live and once you two are together, it'll all be alright' I blushed and looked down

"You're saying it like we belong together" she giggled and continued leading. I looked at my Xtransceiver for the map "there's a cave up ahead that's about a few hours from here... it's take us to a city-"

Something shouted loudly "huh?" I looked around and saw a large blue Pokemon jump towards me. we stared at eachother for a long while... what is that thing?

My Pokedex went off in my pocket 'Cobalion, the iron will Pokemon, it has a body and heart of steel. it's glare is sufficient to make an unruly Pokemon obey it' I blinked a few times and continued looking at the Pokemon

"Why are you here..?"

'You're near...' It closed its eyes and jumped away

"wait!" It was already gone. "did it just speak?" Meloetta nodded

'It's the Legendary Pokemon called Cobalion' Cobalion 'they say the three Pokemon Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion fought against people to protect Pokemon from the war those people started...' she closed her eyes 'when people fight, there's no peace for Pokemon, either. the three legends learned that the deeds of humans could lead to dire consequences for their world..' she looked at me 'how unusual it showed up in front of people...' she smiled 'it sensed you had a bright heart' I stared at her and smiled at where the Pokemon left 'you have a Pokemon of the trio to depend on. Terrakion has Hugh to depend on' she started leading again. I quickly followed surprised

"Hugh? He has a legendary on his side too?" She nodded "then-"

'I'm sure they're looking at each other right now' she giggled 'they won't help you, but they will believe in you...' I nodded and looked down

"So... if I have Cobalion believing me, and Terrakion believing in Hugh, that means Virizion believes in Rosa!" Meloetta said nothing "wow, it's like we're friends already!" She shook her head "huh? Why not!"

'Rosa won't think of Virizion as a friend' she stopped flying and looked up ahead 'Virizion is the reason why Rosa's parents died' I stopped walking in shock

"W-why..?" Why would a Pokemon kill her parents for no reason?!

'It wasn't for no reason' huh? 'The trio use to hate humans because of what they did to Pokemon back then... it wasn't till recent years that they started trusting humans. just a few. but before that... Virizion was in Pinwheel forest, where it usually lives, and made Rosa's father drive into a river...' I couldn't believe my ears 'but it was for a reason...'

"What!? What is a good reason enough to kill off a little girl's family and have her living with Pokemon for years!?" I snapped. she ignored my voice and flew forward

'Time is a straight line... there are no looks or curves...' she said to herself. I heard those words before... 'If that never happened' she looked at me with blank eyes 'you would've froze your heart and died right in the middle of your journey... Rosa wouldn't be living here in Unova of her parents didn't go through that accident'

"What..?" I was absolutely terrified right now "b-but there would've been something else to distract me from my heart freezing... right?" She shook her head. I looked at the grass under me "so... if Rosa's parents never died... of Virizion never killed them... I wouldn't have been alive..?" She nodded "but that doesn't make sense!" She looked forward "why Rosa!? Why does she have to go through all that suffering!?"

'Time is straight... there are no loops or curves... no turns... no reverses...'

Blade's pov (this is a shock! Even for me!)

"No way..." Angel frowned through the Xtransceiver. I nodded

"Yeah... And since she's not with Nate, I'm pretty sure his heart is going to freeze as well..." she looked down

"Rosa needs her shadow for now... Victini said so! I don't want her to die! I never even seen her smile in person!" I smiled and looked at Victini on my shoulder

"Maybe you should come and help us out?" She looked back down "right..." I sighed "how's looking for Neveah going?"

"Not so good... I still have work, so I can't even help the boys search" I nodded "is her ditto doing good?"

"Oh yeah! Rosa's taking good care of it! Nate even told me himself!" She smiled

"I'm glad"

"Sis... don't worry... I know there's so much drama to deal with, but what's going on right now, it isn't your fight" she nodded understanding "we've done our fight. let the next heroes handle everything" she refused to look at the screen "come on, show me that smile!" She rolled her eyes and smiled "there there is!"

"Stop treating me like a child..." I laughed and felt Victini grabbing my attention. I looked up and saw Nate walking towards the Chargestone cave I was next to

"There's Nate" I frowned "he's really really pale..."

"Keep him warm!" Angel freaked.

"Pika!" Her Pikachu yelled. I nodded, hung up and waved at Nate

"Nate!" He looked up and rushed over to me with Woobat and Emolga on his head. Meloetta was on his messenger bag, but didn't look at me

"B-B-Blade!" His teeth chattered "where you been?" I took a blanket out, beanie, some gloves, and a scarf from my bag and gave it to him. these are the clothing Angel gave me back in the Cold Storage. he can really use them

"Put those on, you don't look so good" he nodded and started putting everything on after he replaced his visor with the beanie "how long did it take you go get out here?"

"A few hours..." I raised a brow

"How many?"

"Like... 8 hours"

"And your dressed like that? You must be freezing" he shrugged while cuddling with the scarf. I smiled and send out my Emboar. funny to have mention, Angel and I both received a Egg from Bianca. they hatched into Tepigs. I evolved mine while Angel kept hers as it is

"Stand near Emboar to keep warm. he's a fire type" He looked up at Emboar staring at him

"No-No... I'm okay" I sighed

"I know I might not have the type of death glare you, Rosa, Flora and Flame hold to make people do as you say, but I'm offering to keep you warm while we go into the cave. something might be going on in there, who knows"

"Who's Flame and Flora?" I smiled

"A couple of friends I know from Sinnoh" he nodded shakily and stood in front of Emboar with his face facing Emboar "good, now let's go"
