Rosa's Pov

Living in the Nate's ranch was one of the best places I could play in! The Mareep were absolutely darling, they cuddle and play with me every time I come here

I had been going around the town and city near by to rescue any abused Pokemon. there wasn't a lot, thank goodness...

I love having all these Mareep around me, they make me feel happy and make my heart feel warm... But honestly... I miss being with Nate. I didn't want to see him during the month because I didn't want him to be distracted by anything

But when he found me and said he missed me... I couldn't think I could be happier, I miss him being around me... even if he was annoying as crazy.

I often sleep in my previous room every other night. I wash my hair every time I go, so I can't sleep outside when it's wet... Even if the Mareep did keep me warm with their fur

The grunt that had sewaddle with him really pissed me off, His name is Tommy... I remember working with him while I was trying to find Victini in Liberty Garden. that was the only time I was near him... he really pissed me off because I had been told my Meloetta that a Team Plasma grunt stole Larry's formal Sewaddle from the DayCare Couple. I had been searching far and wide for this jerk. and now that I found that he was hurting Nate's Herdier, I kicked him as hard as I could and send him flying. all I needed was a good kick for him. I'm sure Meloetta had some fun and just threw him into jail... heh

"Oh darling... I was so worried.." I smiled at Sewaddle while the boys talked "did the bad man scared you?"

"Swa! Swa!" She cried, I pet her head and held her close

"It's okay now... you're safe..."

"Rosa?" Nate called "how do you know this Sewaddle? And how do you know that guy?" I put Sewaddle down and looked through my notebooks to draw Tommy and the data

"We worked together once while I was in Team Plasma. he was a terrible trainer, lowest in the class. I was in charge of operation Victini... I got stuck with the loser grunts who easily got caught by Angel" I sighed "Sewaddle was one of the Pokemon I rescued, but was kidnapped by that loser and I had been searching everywhere for her" I showed him the notebook "got the data down..." he smiled and flipped through the notebook

"You are..." he sighed with a smile "such a amazing person" I blushed and picked up Sewaddle again and put my forehead on hers

"I'll take you back to the Daycare center" she shook her head "oh? Do you want to live in this ranch? The Pokemon here are wonderful" she shook her head again "huh? Then where?" Meloetta floated near us

'With you!' With me?

"But I'm not the best trainer to be around... wouldn't you prefer to be with another?" She shook her head and started crawling to my shoulder

"Looks like she made her decision" Nate smiled while taking out a Pokeball "here, you can use this" I took the Pokeball. Sewaddle crawled to the button and was sucked in... fully captured

"She could've had any trainer... and she chose me" Nate hugged me from behind and placed his chin on my shoulder. my face nearly exploded as he kissed my neck

"Maybe she thought you were perfect... just like I do" he cooed. I punched him right in the spot a guy should not be hit and ran away "Rosa!"

"You perv!!!" I cried. I hate how he's so cocky... he teleported near me to run by my side

"Yeah, let's take this path! I have to go back to that weird guy who wanted to train me!" He laughed. I glared at him and continued running until I ran into someone. Nate caught me before I landed on the ground

"You alright cutie?" Nate winked. I punched his chin and sat up in a hurry

"Knock it off!" I pouted. my face couldn't feel any more hot. he sat up, moved his jaw and chuckled

"I'm sorry..." I sighed and helped him up

"You're such an idiot..." I muttered

"You know you like me" he winked. I covered his face

"You wish, big head" someone cleared their throat behind me. I turned around and saw the person I ran into... wait a minute...

"Sorry we took so long Alder" Nate smiled. Alder stared at me

"Well! If it isn't Rosa!" He laughed loudly. I sweat dropped "your face matured!" What's that suppose to mean?

"If it isn't the Former Champion of Unova who couldn't win against Lord N" I looked away, smirking

"Ah! I see you remember that!" He laughed "it was quite the day!"

"Am I missing something?" Nate sweatdropped. Alder laughed again

"I didn't know you meant this young lady, Sam! You are quite lucky to have her!" I blushed and started to run off again, but Nate lift me and put me on his shoulder

"So! About that training mister Champion?" He asked

"Former!! Lord N was champion! Lord N!" I whined. Lord N was someone I looked up to. he believed Pokemon should be perfect beings and be separated by foolish Humans. even though it's been proven that being separated from Pokemon was bad, I still looked up to him for his beliefs

"Oh well!" Nate chuckled. I crossed my arms annoyed

"Shall I tell you the story while I walk you to my home to train!"

"Please do!" Nate walked me to some house. why won't he put me down!? While we walked, Alder told the whole story about what went down in Lord N's castle. I found the story surprising... there was a love story between Lord N and Angel... My cheeks went red

"That's so cool! Is she still champion?" Nate asked while we sat on a table while I ate some donuts

"Are any of you challenging any Gym Leaders?" Alder asked

"Rosa is!" I looked at Nate like he was crazy

"No I'm not!" He dug in his pocket and gave me the badge that I earned with Cheren

"Oh? Then what's this?" He gave it to me

"It meant nothing... I just challenged him just so I could annoy Hugh" He laughed

"You surely did! But you earned that badge. i kept it safe for you all month" I looked down at the shiny badge and blushed. he kept it safe... for me?

"Isn't that touching?" Alder smiled. I started eating the donuts more quickly "if you want to know who the Champion is, you're going to have to see for yourself... which means collecting every badge from different places and enter the Unova League" I looked down. do I really want to see Angel if she's still the champion? For all I know... she could be somewhere far away. Cheren did say she travels to collect data about shadows... I still can't believe that story about shadows controlling a bright heart was true... Meloetta told it to me, and she never lies. But me? A bright heart? There's no way. there's nothing special about me

"I'm sorry that we took so long to come here, it's already late" Nate frowned "is it alright that we can come tomorrow? I think training from a former champion will be great!" Alder nodded

"I would love that, and I would love to see how Rosa battles!" I shook my head

"Not happening"

"Why not?" He frowned

"I just don't want to" I felt Nate's face come close to my cheek, I froze

"Please..?" I covered my face

"Fine! Just get away from me!" He cheered and hugged me sideways. I blushed and looked away. I hate how he does that to me. coming close to me so I can snap and agree to whatever he wants so he can get away from me. we walked back to the ranch to pick up our Pokemon we left there

"Do you wanna go back home and get some sleep?" He asked. I shook my head and held his hand

"Let's sleep under the stars" he looked at me surprised

"Wow... I haven't done that in awhile" he smiled "alright!" We went back to the ranch and found my Pokemon and his Dewott sitting in a line while watching my Ampharos rejecting the grey orb Ampharos trying to flirt with her

He had been trying to flirt with her all month, but she wasn't at all interested. "Poor Ampharos, he's frustrated because this is the first pokemon he couldn't flirt with and have her fall over heels. Their allot like us!" Nate laughed. I blushed and crossed his arms

"I don't see how, and My Ampharos doesn't like him because she knows he flirts to avoid a pain in his heart" he looked at me confused

"Pain?" I nodded

"Meloetta told me... Ampharos thinks about its previous owner... all the time... and that's why his orbs are gray... he lost that shine..." Nate sat on the grass and placed his arms on his knees

"Pokemon and their Shadows are a different story between humans... I know how Ampharos is feeling" I sat down and stared at his sad face "I think about my dad all the time..."

"What happened to him?" I frowned

"He left us when I was younger... he left me this herd of Mareep and his Ampharos to go on a Pokemon Journey... that's why I became a World International Police, so I can travel the world and find him..." his eyes were going dull. I gasped and jumped to hug him

"It's okay..." I frowned, I heard him sniffle "you'll find him" I looked at him and whipped his tears away. he looked up and smiled

"Thanks" I looked up at the sky, Meloetta sat next to me and started singing with me, just to keep that shine in Nate's heart. he has a lot going for him, I don't want him to grow cold... it's better me than him

"Im not battling" i sweat dropped while we stood in front of two kids who were being trained by Alder as well

"It'll be fine, we're doing this together" Nate said, next to me. his arms went around my waist and his lips hovered over the side of my chin. i froze at his hot breath "please..?" I punched his nose and looked away

"Fine!" Meloetta came to the rescue... she's like our nurse... if she wasn't around, he would be a numb mummy

I send out Deino, I've been training her in the ranch for a month now. since she can't see, I helped her build up her hearing and other senses

"Deino huh?" Nate smirked "she looks powerful, you've been training her?" I nodded as he send out Abra

"Remember kids! Even though they look tough, you can still learn from loosing!" Alder shouted. he sat on a bench on the side of the field, saying he's referee, but... he's not doing a good job "you all may begin!"

"Panpour! Water gun!" The boy ordered

"Pansear! Ember!" The girl ordered

"Protect!" Nate ordered. Abra protected herself and Deino from getting hit

"Dragon Rage!" I ordered. She started building up a light in her stomach, before she could release it, she sneezed and made an explosion. I sweat dropped, looking that she created a huge dent under her "oh Deino..." Nate burst out laughing

"Dragon Rage!? More like Dragon Sneeze!" I glared and punched his face to the other side of the field

"Idiot" I muttered and looked up at Deino crawling out the dent "you alright?" She nodded and faced our opponents again

"Dragon types are much harder to train, you might need to work on that training" Alder yelled. I glared

"Shut it old man!" He flinched, then laughed. I looked back at Nate passed out behind me. I rolled my eyes "I'll carry out the match" I send out Chingling "Chingling! Psychic!" She started glowing and threw both the opponents to the wall of the house, making them faint

The two kids jaw dropped "that was truly a rousing battle!" Alder laughed "it was barely a battle!" I sweatdropped while he approached me "you only used one Pokemon to attack the two pokemon. you should've let Deino attack at least one, she still needs training" I looked away "and this was a two on two battle, you knocked out Nate without letting him get the chance to attack"

"Sounds like a personal problem" I returned Deino and Chingling "I think we're done here... this was a waste of my time" I started walking away before I was lifted on someone's shoulder

"You think you can battle without me, punch me, knock me out, and get away with it?!" Nate laughed "I believe we have to get going to Virbank City! Looker, my boss, called and said there had been some robberies going on" busted...

"I see!" Alder laughed... please stop laughing... "meeting Pokemon and people you never would have met otherwise is truly one of the great things about traveling! Have a good time!" Nate nodded and carried me although route 20

"Dammit! Put me down!!" I demanded

"Why? I like the view" my face exploded

"You pervert!!" I punched his back, he groaned and put me down. Meloetta showed up next to me

'Do you have to keep killing him?' She sweatdropped and healed him

"Does he need to keep being a pervert?!" I glared and walked away. he caught up to me

"I can't help it, you have a nice figure!" My face got even hotter "that's why you're very much in shape with all that training" he chuckled

"Don't even think about it Nate, we're nothing but partners, nothing else" he stopped me from walking, pressed my lower back on his stomach and lifted my chin to look at his close face, I froze

"We'll see" he smirked, he was so close to my lips... my heart was beating 10 mph

"Am I interrupting something?" I heard a girl voice say. we looked up and saw a blonde girl with a big green hat and red glasses

"Bianca! It's been awhile!" Nate smiled "how you been?" He knew her? No surprise there, he had every girl in the palm of his hands, his charms are resisting... I'm the only one that has the guts to punch and beat him silly

"Who's this?" Bianca asked, smiling at me "is she your girlfriend?" I pushed Nate off me and held my hot cheeks

"Rosa! She's my partner and crime... and future girlfriend" he winked. I punched his cheek and knocked him out again

"Idiot..." I muttered. Bianca looked at me surprised

"You mean... the Rosa??" She held my hands "The one that rescued my best friend two years ago?" I sweat dropped

"How many people know me..?" She giggled

"Just Angel, Blade, Cheren, Alder, Iris, many gym leaders, Both the Professor Juniper, and Angels mom..." I sweatdropped more

"That's stupid" she cupped her hands in awe

"You're just as pretty as Angel described you!" I blushed surprised

"Shut up!" She giggled and squat down to dig in Nate's pocket for his Pokedex

"I came to look for him because I want to update his Pokedex. I'm the one that delivered this to him two months ago..." she started doing some stuff to it "and... done!" She put it back in his pocket and stood to face me "Cheren called me the other day, saying you were near, so I wanna give you this" she handed me a pink Pokedex

"I don't want it" she sweatdropped

"I figured you'd say that... Angel didn't want it either, now she uses it while she travels the world" I took the Pokedex and stared at it

"Fine" I looked away "if it'll make you shut up" she cheered

"Yay! Your Pokedex is already updated. I added the habitat list! It's an amazing feature. you can see all the Pokemon that live in that area. it even tells you which ones you'd already caught" she jumped in place "it was so nice to meet you! I must go now! Tell Nate I said hello!" She ran off

I looked down and saw Meloetta flying around him until he woke up "dammit Rosa... can't you take a joke?" he rubbed his face. I huffed and crossed my arms

"How can I take it as a joke when all you do if flirt like crazy. it's really annoying" he lift his legs, brought his arms over his head and jumped back to his feet to stand not even a inch from my face. I prepared to punch him again, but he caught my hard punch, my eyes widened

"I'm not weak Rosa, you can't keep trying to kill me when I'm trying to help you. if it's really bothering you, tell me to stop" who was this guy..? he just changed personalities!

"I-i" I blushed "I've been telling you to stop since you started..." he let go of my hand and shook his head

"But you never meant it" he turned his shoulder and walked away. my jaw dropped... the nerve of this guy! He can't just catch my hand and talk to me like I'm a child! "Come on, Looker is waiting for us" I glared and followed him all though Virbank City

'He's not at all what you think Rosa... he's just trying to have fun... he's a very serious person and its not good for a bright heart like his to be serious...' I raised my brow

"How come?"

'A person with a bright heart should be determined and happy, that is why they have a heart like that in the first place. Nate isn't a happy person, but he always tries to fix that by focusing on positive things... all he ever thinks about is his father. If he stays serious, he'll start to think about one thing and one thing only... if he does that, his shadow will leave him and he will grow cold... in temperature until he can't deal with it and he will die' my heart dropped

"But... why would his shadow leave..? Isn't it trying to take over his heart if he's sad?"

'A shadow will take your heart if you're sad, scared, and living your fear... if you think about one thing... it's called obsession, the shadow doesn't like what obsession does to the body... the heart will dim on its own and it will leave him!' I bit my lips and looked down

"But I don't want him doing all that to me..."

'You don't have to, you just have to make him happy... which isn't hard at all. And if you don't want him to touch you to much, just run' I sweatdropped

"Run?" She giggled

'You heard me, its not like he'll run after you... he knows of your panic disorder' I sighed and played with my hair

"So... just make him happy?" She nodded "hey... what did he mean by not meaning it when I tell him to stop?" She giggled and disappeared. I took a deep breath and stared at Nate walking a few meters away from me...

I ran up to him and hugged him from behind, he stopped walking "Nate..?" He looked down at me with a blank face "can we... get something to eat..?" His lips slowly became a smile. he nodded and pet my head

"Sure!" I smiled and followed him to the city
