The Charmander, Cubone, Kangaskhan Theory

So... most of you guys should know by now either the Kangaskhan and cubone or the Charmander and cubone theory. However, which theory is actually more legitimate?

Well, it's time to find out, isn't it?

So, basically, to jolt everyone's memories and to lessen the confusion of those who have never heard either of these theories, here's an overview:

Basically, the Pokédex states that Cubone wears the Skull of its dead mother. However, is the mother actually Marowak? Or is it someone else? For example, another Pokémon like a Kangaskhan's?

As such, the theories have been born that either Kangaskhan or Charizard was cubone's mother.

So basically, Kangaskhan supporters think that it's a Kangaskhan that was cubone's mother due to the fact that cubone looks similar to the baby in Kangaskhan's pouch. This is then further backed up with the fact that Kangaskhan have a special parental bond with their babies. Here are a few pics to help you guys visualize better:

To make things even wackier, some people online even say that Kangaskhan could appear in an SOS call by cubone in sun and moon or something.

Still, some things don't add up. According to a website I read up, a baby Kangaskhan's color doesn't match that of a cubone's. And while it may have grown that color as it gets older, it still doesn't account for the fact that it suddenly grew protrusions out of its back.

To make matters even more confusing, the skull matches that of a charizard's more than a Kangaskhan. Especially since you could see horns in the skull but no horns on an actual Kangaskhan.

And that, is where the Charizard theory comes in.

Basically, Charizard is said to be Cubone's mother due to the fact that the skull on cubone's head matches the shape of a Charizard's.

The theory goes something like this from a website I've read:

A charizard is killed and thus, her eggs don't have a mother.

As there is no heat from the dead charizard, only one of its young survives.

The young Charmander is different from the other Charmander due to the lack of fire (that is supposed to sustain the entire charizard evolutionary line) and thus looks like a cubone.

The young Charmander then picks up the skull of the dead Charizard and wears it.

And, we get a cubone.

Shockingly, Pokémon go seems to like the charizard theory more as Charmander wearing cubone skulls could be caught in 2019's Halloween event.

More evidence? Look no further than Alolan Marowak.

As we all know, Alolan Marowak is a fire/ghost version of the original Marowak. While it's kind of obvious why they wanted it to be a fire type, (due to the fire dancing tradition) it's ghost typing was never explained. Well at least, on why the Marowak itself is the ghost. However, it kind of makes sense since a Charmander dies when it's flame goes out, resulting in...

ghosts?

Well, it's possible.

If we go according to the Pokédex, however, the ghost typing is said to be due to its dead mother departing into its flame.

Let's go Pikachu/Eevee's entry states that: "It has transformed the spirit of its dear departed mother into flames, and tonight it will once again dance in mourning of others of its kind."

But if that's the case, then why is the Marowak a fire type?

Well, that'll make sense if it's mother was a fire type, aka a charizard.

So, that ends off the Charmander, Cubone, Kangaskhan Theory.

After reading this, which Pokémon would you support more to be cubone's mother?

Honestly, I don't exactly have a side myself, so I'll be staying in the middle for now.

Do you guys have anymore evidence to add in for either theories?
