Kadabra's Pokédex Entry goes something along these lines: (I'm not completely accurate on this entry as I have to look the correct wording up again)

It happened one morning that a boy woke in bed — transformed into Kadabra.

The reason this is nonsense is because Kadabra had to become Kadabra by evolving.

Abra's Evolutionary Family:

Abra > Kadabra > Alakazam

^ Now you know why they are called those names (Easter egg: Abracadabra Alakazam!)

As you can see here, an Abra has to evolve into a Kadabra for Alakazam to be in that evolutionary family.

If Kadabra was taken out of this evolutionary family...

Abra > ??? > Alakazam

Abra Alakazam!

Doesn't have the right names for that one...

So Kadabra is important to the evolutionary chain, but Kadabra isn't a boy who woke up randomly and transformed into it; it's a Pokémon in the evolutionary family of Abra.

This Pokédex Entry is Nonsensical and FALSE!
