"Mmm..." X groaned as he looks around and asks, "Wha... what happened...?"

"Oh thank god, you're awake!"

X's eyes is a bit blurry, so he blinks a couple of times until he sees a woman who looks exactly like nurse Joy, which freaks him out a bit.

"J-JOY?!" X blurted out in shock.

"Mm? How did you...?" Joy, than realised, "Oh! You must have met one of my sisters!"

"... Huh?"

"Yeah. I have... quite a few sisters and cousins around the city," Joy explained, "And they all work as Pokemon nurses."

"Oh... what are their names...?" X asked her, "Their names can't be all Joys... right... right!?"

"Well, Joy is just our family name, not our actual names," Joy explained.

"Oh! Okay than." X replied. "So glad it's not as outlandish as I thought, thank god..."

"I also took care of your Pokemons and your two friends while you were unconscious." Joy told him.

"Ah! Thank you, nurse Joy!" X replied. "Ahem... what city are we right now?"

"You're in Sandgem Town," Joy told him.

"Ah... right..." X remembered, "The town we were in before we..."

(Flashback)

Mespirit, out of panic and fear, uses it's psychic powers to lift X, Zero and their Pokemons off guard, and throws them to the nearest trees as it turns invisible and flies away.

(Flashback ends)

"Ah!" X remembered. "Are my friends okay?! And what about our Pokemons!?"

"Do not worry," Joy ensured him, "They're already out and about."

"Oh thank god..." X muttered. "I'm really relief to hear that."

"Yes, now, what happened back there?" Joy asked him, "I hope you three didn't do anything troublesome?"

"I-Of course not, ma'am!" X denied profusely.

"... Ma'am...?" Joy asked angrily.

"Oh no! I'm doomed!" X thought in fear, "Why am I so bad with women!?"

Suddenly, Axl slams open the door much to Joy's shock and X's relief. The red head had overheard the conversion and decides to do a dramatic entrance to save the day.

"Hey X!" Axl greeted him, "Glad to see you're okay now!"

"Y-Yeah," X replied, "So, I gotta go now! Thank you, nurse Joy!"

"Goodbye!" Joy responded happily, "I hope you guys come back!"

"..." Axl just gives her a quick glance as he felt a little uncomfortable around her as she said that as the two goes out of the Pokemon center.

"Something wrong, Axl?" X asked him.

"No... I'm fine..."

"... O... Kay, than," X responded unsurely, where he notices Zero waiting outside for the two, "Ah! Zero!"

"Mm? Ah, you're finally awake." Zero said as he does his usual smirk.

"Hey Zero! How-how long has I been asleep...?" X asked him.

"Quite awhile, honestly," Zero told him.

"... Oh..." X mumbled as he blushes out of embarrassment.

"It's fine. It happens to the best of us." Zero ensured him.

"Thanks Zero," X thanked him.

"No problem."

"Ahem... where's my thanks?" Axl asked him, "I saved you from that nurse who you accidentally called old!"

"First, I didn't call her old! I just called her ma'am!" X pointed out, "And second, were you eavesdropping?"

"First, never call a lady a 'ma'am', they hate being called that cuz it makes them feel old!" Axl explained to him, "And second, well... I want to make sure you okay, alright?"

"Well... I do have to thank you for your impeccable timing," X thanked him as he sighs, "And you know I never been good with women..."

"And I never understood them." Zero agreed with his best friend.

"You're lucky that I am quite the ladies' expert!" Axl boasted, making Zero rolls his eyes with a frown while X does the same, but with a smile instead.

"And yet, you don't have a girlfriend." Zero pointed out sarcastically as he walks away.

"I-OI!" Axl shouted at him angrily.

"Ha Ha!" X blurted out laughing, much to Axl's and Zero's surprise. "A-Sorry! That is pretty funny, honestly!"

"I don't find it funny at all!" Axl pouted.

"Well, glad you have a good laugh, X," Zero said, "But unfortunately, we should focus on getting home, especially since a certain SOMEONE scared our chance at getting back away!"

"Hey! Don't blame it on me!" Axl yelled back, "It caught me by surprise!"

X takes out his book from his bag as he looks through it, than he shows the page to his friends. It not only included the statue of Mespirit, but also two other Pokemons that looks similar to it, but not quite.

"We can try those other two for help," X suggested to his friends, "Though, according to the legends and the map, it is much further down as the one called Azelf is in Lake Valor which is close to Pastroria city while the other one named Uxie is in Lake Acuity, which is close to Snowpoint city."

"And where are those two locations, exactly?" Zero asked X.

"Well... according to the map... Pastroria city is on the east side of the Sinnoh region and home to the 4th gym leader," X explained, "While Snowpoint city is much, much further to the north and home to the 7th gym leader."

"Well, looks like the best course of action would be heading to Lake Acuity first," Zero said.

"Agreed." X agreed with him, "And since Uxie is considered a being of knowledge, than they must understand that we only wanted to go home."

"Well, hopefully they do," Axl said, "Anyways, after this boring talk of where to go, let's resume our adventure!"

"Yeah. We should get going," X agreed as he puts away his book. "Let's go."

The trio goes back to route 202 as they head back to the big city to continue their journey.
