After a good while, the trio finally reaches to a small town, much to Axl's relief as he yawns loudly and says, "Ugh! Finally!"

"It's only been twenty minutes, Axl." Zero pointed out.

"Feels like twenty years for me." Axl replied.

"Ugh..." Zero groaned in an annoyed tone.

"Hello there."

The trio turns to see a black haired young man who looks around Dawn's age, silver eyes, and wears blue cloak, red scarf, and blue trousers. The man gives a soft smile at the trio and X asks, "Ahem... hello there."

"Hey, sorry if I suddenly caught you off guard," The man apologised, "It's just that not many people came here unless they want to see the lake nearby, especially kids like you."

"Well... actually we are here to see the lake." X answered, "Anyways, who are you exactly?"

"Ah! Sorry again, my name is Lucas," The man named Lucas replied, "I'm an old friend of professor Berlitz."

"Ah!" Axl blurted out, "You know Dawn, than?!"

"And I'm guessing she gave you the Starter Pokemons, correct?" Lucas asked, which they all nodded. "Ah, I remember when I first started my journey... good times."

"Who was your starter?" Zero asked him.

"It was a Turtwig," Lucas answered them.

"Ah! I have a Turtwig too!" X cheered.

"Great choice!" Lucas answered. "Of course, the other two are great choices too, but even than."

"Hehe, yeah, true." X agreed.

"Too bad my Piplup is an ass to deal with." Zero admitted.

"Ah, well Piplups are well known to be very difficult to handle," Lucas told him, "But when it evolves, it would calm down a bit."

"Evolve?" Zero blurted asked, which he quickly realise he asked something that would be very dumb in this world.

"What did you ask?" Lucas asked.

"N-Nothing!" Zero quickly denied profusely, "A-Anyways, we have to get going, right X?"

"O-Oh! Right!" X agreed awkwardly, "We need to get going. Good bye, Lucas-sir!"

"Bye you three," Lucas said as the trio runs past him, "Have a safe journey!"

"We will!" X called out as they continue on their journey.

Lucas watches the three boys continue their journey, which he smiles as he suddenly remembers his time as a child alongside a certain blonde boy. Lucas walks towards the north side of the town until he notices a certain raven-haired girl and her Meowstic behind a tree.

"Who-Who are you?" Lucas asked her, which caught off her guard. "Wait, that jacket... are you that Emma girl Looker told me about...?"
