X looks through the bookshelves on the second floor; excited to learn more of the new world they're in and seeing so many ancient styled books that are so rare back in his world, but so common in this world.

Than, he found a book that catches his attention; Sinnoh myths. While being a bookworm, he is also a mythology nerd as well since it's so fascinating to learn different cultures and what people in the past believes in, as well as the legends in those myths. So, just when he was about to grab that book, another hand grabs the book at the same time.

"H-Oh! Sorry!" X apologised to the other person until he gets a better look at her, and blushes a bit, "Wo... woah..."

X sees a gorgeous woman with light blonde hair with a fringe covering her right eye and black hair clips, grey eyes and pale skin. She wears a light blue tank top, dark grey loose trousers and black high heels. And next to her... is a large, terrifying-looking bipedal, draconian Pokémon that is primarily dark purple in color.

Deep down, he is terrified of that dragon Pokemon since he's now human, meaning he's extremely vulnerable and if he gets injured, he can't just get repaired, he'll have to wait to heal or risk dying. The blonde woman notices his fear and looks at her Pokemon as she says, "Don't worry, she wouldn't bite you, right Garchomp?"

"Gar!" Her Pokemons named Garchomp replied. "Of course, lady Cynthia."

"I... I see..." X replied as he lowers his guard and takes out his Pokédex to analysis it; 'Garchomp. The Mach Pokemon and the final evolution of Gible. It is said that when one runs at high speed, its wings create blades of wind that can fell nearby trees. It never allows it's preys escape and it wings resembles a jet plane.'

"Wo... wow..." X muttered of how strong it sounds on the Pokédex.

"X!"

X hears Zero calling for him and turns around, where he sees his closest friends running up to him, until they notice the woman with her Garchomp, which Axl's jaw drop and just before he could say it.

"Dips," Zero said.

"Damn it Zero!" Axl complained. "You knew what I'm going to say!"

"Because you're predictable, that's why," Zero admitted.

"Hehe," The woman chuckled as the trio looks at her and says, "You three seem like close friends."

"We... well, ahem..." X stuttered as he isn't very good at lying, thankfully, Axl notices.

"Actually, Zero and X are childhood buddies," Axl sort of lied with ease, "I only known them for about five years."

Thanks to Axl's rather shady past as an assassin, he is able to lie without much of a problem, unlike X who is too honest for his own good and Zero, while capable of lying, is more blunt and straightforward. So, Axl is the sneakiest one of the trio despite being the youngest and the cheerful one as well.

"I see," The woman said. "My name is Cynthia, just your everyday traveller, and this here is my  Garchomp,"

"Garchomp." Garchomp greeted herself, "Pleasure to meet you all."

"Hey there!" Axl said casually, which Cynthia raises her eyebrow a bit, but not say anything, "You know, for a scary looking Pokemon, you're surprisingly nice!"

"Gar... Gar! Garchomp!?" Garchomp realised. "Thank you... Wait! Did you just understand me!?"

"Huh?" Axl said; pretending he didn't understand her, which infuriates her until her trainer stops her.

"That's enough, Garchomp," Cynthia told her and turns to the boys, "Are you three Pokemon trainers by any chance?"

"Yeah, why?" Axl replied.

"Well, are you planning on taking the gym challenge?" Cynthia asked them.

"I want to... but Zero got dips on it," Axl pouted as he shakes his head.

"That would be me," Zero introduced himself.

"... Mmm... Are you Bass' brother, by any chance?" Cynthia asked him.

"How did you know?" Zero asked her.

"The same facial features," Cynthia said, "Same sharp eyes, nose and strong jaw, and somewhat similar Kantonian accents, despite the different hair colours and eyes colours."

"I see..." Zero said, ("I don't know what Kantonian means, but just rolls with it.)

"That also means... do you know about Albert Wily?" Cynthia asked him.

Zero's eyes widen and face turns a bit pale. He doesn't know why, but in his gut feeling... he feels like he knows him. And the fact he has the same surname as him means they're obviously related somehow, not only that... even back in their world; he can't help but feel like he knows that name. If Dr. Light was X's creator and thus, reincarnated as his father, that means...

"No... I don't..." He lied to her, "I feel like I know him, but my memories are very fuzzy on the details."

"I see," Cynthia understood, ("Good... the less he knows about his father, the better...") "Anyways, are you heading to your first gym challenge?"

"Yeah," X nodded, "Well... Zero is. I'm not interested in the gym challenge... I don't want to get my Pokemons hurt."

"... I see," Cynthia smiled as she takes out the Sinnoh myths book and gives it to X, "Here."

"H-Huh? For me?" X asked. "But didn't you want to this book?"

"Yes, but there's a few copies here, so don't worry," Cynthia ensured him, "And besides, not many teenagers read books nowadays, so it's nice seeing a young man like you taking an interest in books."

"Ah! Thank you, miss Cynthia!" X thanked her while blushing a bit.

"You welcome," Cynthia smiled as she takes out the Sinnoh myths book and gives it to X, "Here,"

"H-Huh? For me?" X asked. "But didn't you want to this book?"

"Yes, but there's a few copies here, so don't worry," Cynthia ensured him, "And besides, not many teenagers read those type of books nowadays, so it's nice seeing a young man like you taking an interest in books."

"Ah! Thank you, miss Cynthia!" X thanked her while blushing a bit.

"You welcome," Cynthia replied. "Now, you know where the first gym is at, right?"

"Yes," X answered.

"Good." Cynthia said, "Also, Zero, correct?"

"Yeah. What is it?" Zero asked her.

"Do you know your brother's battle style?" Cynthia asked him.

"No, why?" Zero replied.

"Well... I will warn you up ahead," Cynthia told him, "Bass is very brutal gym leader despite being only the sixth one. He relies full on powerful attacks and brutally overwhelming his enemies. He's also the reason why so many trainers quit... so... be careful."

"... I'll keep that in mind," Zero replied. "Now, we'll be going. Let's go, X. We have no time to waste."

"... You're right," X replied as he turns to Cynthia, "Thank you for your warning."

"Wait, what are your name, exactly?" Cynthia asked the red head boy.

"Oh! Axl, why?" Axl answered.

"... Just asking." Cynthia replied. "Anyways, you boys be careful. Okay?"

"We will!" Axl cheered as he chuckles, "Hehe, come on guys! Let's go!"

Axl runs downstairs, which Zero and X runs after him as the brunette shouts, "Oi! Wait for us!"

"Hehe..." Cynthia giggled with a soft smile as she glances at her Garchomp, who is staring at them with suspicion, "... So, you have the same feeling too, right?"

Garchomp simply nods, which Cynthia takes a deep sigh and thinks, ("There is a lot more to those boys at first glance... especially that Axl boy. I should contact my cousin, Mikhail, about this...")

A/N – I'm making Cynthia be related to the Cossack family, since I can see her being from a family of geniuses since her grandmother is a Pokemon professor (From the anime).

I thought it sounds cool in my head and yes, I do believe in Axl being a Cossack theory, except he was finished by Cossack's descendant and not Mikhail himself who only made the blue print for him and completed ten percent of him.
