Back with the Maverick hunters trio. Across the sea where a motorboat is speeding through as Zero is explaining their three Pokemons about what's going on, X is incredibly memorised by how gorgeous the ocean is and see many different types of water types, and Axl... well...

"I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD, BABY!!!!" Axl cheered as he puts his arms out and sticking his tongue out as he's enjoying the speed. "WWWOOOOOOO!!!"

"... Piplup, Piplup, pip..." Piplup summarised it, "So... let me guess this straight, you're saying that you guys are from another world where Pokemons doesn't exist, and that, instead, robots called reploids, and you guys are actually reploids suddenly turn into humans, correct?"

"Yep, pretty much." Zero confirmed.

"... Pip..." Piplup told him. "That's stupid."

"Almost as insulting as your intelligence," Zero insulted him back.
"GRRRRRR!!!" Piplup growled at his trainer.

"Turt... Turtwig," Rooty said, "Thinking about it... it does make sense."

"Piplup?!" Piplup asked. "How?!"

"Turtwig," Rooty explained. "Well, Wildfire's trainer, Axl, clearly doesn't know what Pokemon is, and my trainer freaked out over the method of catching Pokémon, which nobody ever freaked over last time I check."

"Piplup Pip!" Piplup argued back, "Your trainer is too soft and Axl is just an idiot!"

"Oi! X may be soft, but he's a lot stronger than you think he is!" Zero told his Pokemon off, who just cross his arms and rolls his eyes.

"Bleh! My tongue is drying up!" Axl complained as he puts away his tongue, "Now I know why humans don't stick their tongue 24/7..."

Zero shakes his head and facepalms, along with Piplup who did the same thing. Wildfire jumps out of Zero's lap and joins with his trainer, along with Rooty doing the same thing as he climbs up to X's head and looks at X.

"Wow... it's so beautiful! And so many Pokemons here too!" X gasped.

The ocean back in their world is not the cleanest. In fact, it has a tint of green and quite polluted unfortunately, along with no fishes can be seen, so fishes are extinct in their worlds. This means there's no sushis, no fish and chips, and other fish required cuisines. So, seeing so many fish like Pokemons and the ocean looking beautifully blue is amazing to the young blue bomber.

He quickly takes out his Pokédex and his Poke-phone as he starts taking pictures and recording the Pokemons he spots. He sees orange fishes called Magikarps, blue fishes with pink lines called Finneon, a bunch of jellyfishes called Tentacools and Tentacruels, and so much more.

The brunette smiles brightly at the wonderful world they're in. Despite the situation they're in, maybe this world isn't going to be as bad as they originally thought. Zero notices X's smile and can't help but smile softly as well.

It's been so long since the last time he smiled. The last time he did was at the end of the 6th war, which was about twenty years ago, afterwards, he sees him in a damper mood and internally struggling with himself, so seeing him finally smiling so much in this new environment makes him want to smile too, like a older brother happy to see his little brother finally smiling after years of depression.

Piplup notices Zero's smile, which he raises his non existent eyebrow and look up at the sky, where he sees a bunch of seagull-like and pelican-like Pokemons flying through the air. The blonde man stops smiling and looks up in the sky, where he takes out his Pokédex from his bag and it analysis; 'Wingull. The seagull Pokemon. It soars high in the sky, riding on updrafts like a glider. It carries food tucked in its bill.     It makes its nest on sheer cliffs'

("Mmm... now that pelican thing,") Zero thought as he analysis the other Pokemon.

'Pelipper. The water bird Pokemon and the evolved form of Wingull. It is a messenger of the skies, carrying small Pokémon and eggs to safety in its bill. It skims through the water's surface, it dips its large bill in the sea, scoops up food and water, and carries it.' Zero closes his Pokédex up and puts it back in his bag. He still looks up at the sky as this is the first time he sees birds like creatures since forever, excluding reploids that looked like birds, obviously.

The birds back in their world become extinct thirty years ago thanks to that 5th Maverick war, where the virus spread actually poisoned all of the birds and killing all of them, even animals didn't survive the blasts as well.

The only animals that did are the farm animals like cows, chickens and such, and even than, it was rather scarce, so they have to breed them out like crazy just to survive once that war was over.

Zero takes a deep sigh and decide to just look at the sea, where his eyes are a bit widen in a bit of shock of how clean the ocean looks. He rolls up his sleeve a bit and take off his left fingerless glove as he wasn't sure if it's safe or not to tip his hand into the ocean.

"ZERO! Look!" X called out energetically.

Zero raises his eyebrows as he gets up and sit next to X, who is strangely extra jumpy. Than again, he can't blame him, considering he knows X is the curious type, not as bad as Axl's, but it's still that kid like charm about him despite all the hell they been through.

Zero sees X has rolls up his right sleeve and touching the water with his hand, where Axl rushes in to check out what they're doing.

"The water feels so nice!" X commented, "You have to try this!"

"Me! Me!" Axl shouted as he rolls his sleeves and takes off his gloves as he dips both of his hands into the water, "Woah! So cool!"

"Come on, Zero! Try it!" X told him.

Zero takes deep breath as there's no point in arguing with him. If there's one thing about X that never changes, is that he's as stubborn as a mule. He just doesn't know when to give up, which is both a very good thing... and sometimes a bad thing as well.

Regardless, he dips his hand onto the sea and surprise of how relaxing it feels despite the high speed the motorboat is on. This is the first time he felt this relax since...

("... Iris...") Zero thought as he frowns up a bit and remembers a happy memory pops up in his head...

(Flashback)

"Zero! I got an surprise for you!" A brunette girl called out.
"I'm coming, Iris!"

Iris is a young girl, looking around 15-16, with big, innocent green eyes, very long hair in the same length as Zero's hair, and pale skin. Her armor consists of a blue and red scheme with yellow accents and is modeled into the form of a dress, her limbs being white, her boots white, and her hands appearing to have segmented knuckles. Her boots gain a black outline and have a defined lavender color with the addition of a red beret on her head.

Zero, in his reploid form and wearing his signature crimson armour, walks up to Iris in the park with a bunch of beautiful flowers around. Iris giggles and says, "Now, close your eyes!"

"Huh? Why?" Zero asked.

"Pretty please?" Iris begged with puppy dog eyes.

"... Fine," Zero sighed as he closes his eyes.

In just a few seconds, Iris says, "Now! Open your eyes!" Which Zero did and sees Iris giggling. He touches his head and takes off it, where he sees she made a flower crown. "Hey! Don't take it off!"

"A flower crown?" Zero asked. "Why?"

"Think of it as a gift," Iris told him. "A friendship gift. Since we known each other for a few months, and I heard that humans give each other gifts as a sign of friendship, I thought give one for you. I already gave one for X, in case you're wondering."

"... Who taught how to make this?" Zero asked her.

"Jenny Thorin," Iris told him, "My creator's wife taught me how to make flower crowns."

"Ah... I see..."

"Like it?"

"... I guess it's okay."

"Geez! You always act cool in missions... but not quite good at socialising, aren't you?" Iris teased him.

"... Fine, I guess I keep it. Since you went through the trouble and all," Zero told her.

"It would have been better if you liked it, but that's okay," Iris sighed, "X already warned me about that, so I shouldn't be surprise."

"Hey!"

"Ha ha ha!" Iris giggled as they two continued to spend time with each other until around nighttime, which earned a massive scolding from Colonel.

(Flashback ends)

("Iris... I... I...") Zero thought as his eyes turns dull and, from his view, things are starting to get darker. ("Oh no... not again!")

("You killed her...") A demonic voice told him.

("Fuck off... just fuck off!") Zero begged in his thoughts, not wanting to ruin the happy moment for Axl and X. ("I'm ignoring you! So fuck. Off!")

("You killed her! You killed her!") his inner demon starts yelling at him more aggressively, ("You killed her brother! You are the cause of many sufferings!")

("Wha... what the hell?!") Zero thought as his inner demons start screaming and throwing insults while bringing up many painful memories. ("Stop it... stop it!")

Zero's face turns pale as he's shock at how aggressive those voices has become. He remember the voices wasn't that aggressive. It was at first, but not this extreme!

He realises it's because he's now in a human body that those voices are much more aggressive, since humans and old generation reploids are at a great risk of mental illnesses, with new generation reploids like Axl has a thing called the Mental shield chip that blocks out the negative effects of traumas, which explains why Axl keep such a cheerful attitude despite the fact he was forced to put down his adopted family, though he's still a prototype meaning he still feels the minor effects there and than, but not too serious.

After all, he still remembers the powerful hatred the Thorin family looked at him after he killed Colonel and Iris. Despite being reploids and their actual purpose, they were part of their family; son and daughter... but now, the Thorin family wants nothing to do with him despite the necessity of it, they even forbidden him from going to their funerals even though he arranged it. He couldn't blame them though... he even hate himself for what he did. The cold stares... the rude comments... the bitter hatred they had for him... there's no way he could for get it.
("YOU KILLED MY CHILDREN!!!")

("BASTARD!")

("Tell my sister... that her brother died happy...")

("Zero... I'm... I'm sorry...")

("You are my greatest creation. Destroy him!")

("You were the original Maverick, Zero!")

"Shut up..." Zero mumbled, which X and Axl notices he isn't acting as himself.

"Zero?" X asked in a concerned tone.

Out of nowhere, Zero quickly gets up and fast walk to the other side of the boat, which greatly worries the other two and their pokemons. Even Piplup is concern.

"Zero, what are you?!"

Suddenly, Zero hits his head so hard repeatedly against the edge that knocks him out completely cold. Sure, it's a stupid idea, but considering that they're in a boat out of the middle of nowhere, it's either that or try to drown himself. Knowing that X and Axl will stop him... he does the former.

"Wha-What happened here?!" The sailor called out as he heard the loud bang.

"I-Our friend knocked himself out!" X explained.

"What?! Why?!" The sailor asked, "On second thought, never mind that! I'll speed up the boat!"

"Thank you!" X thanked him.

The sailor speeds up the boat as they head to an city with an dock and a few buildings that stand out, but not much as they rush through the sea.
